I enjoyed the remake, it really makes the viewers understand why he killed and about his childhood more than the original where he just like killed his sister in the beginning, and in the original the stabbing scene looked mega fake and laughable, no offense original fanatics just giving my opinion, and if it wasn't for the original then we wouldn't have the remake, Carpenter was amazing for thinking of such an original horror movie for the 80's.

This remake was terrible! Michael Myers didn't need to be explained at all. That's the whole genius of the original is that it leaves things out in the open and up for interpretation. Lol in my opinion and most people will probably agree. Halloween by Zombie sucked. Not creepy or scary all Zombie did was add a massive amount of blood and gore. Does that make a tense and suspenseful and eerie movie? No it sucked it got panned by critics and it was boring. AT least Carpenter kept people at the edge of their seats the entire movie Zombie bored us the last hour.
All Halloween movies were NOT scary. Not the original, not the remix. They are just kind of suspensful. I think that the past add in was kind of good.

Rob did a great job on the remake I think. It is now my favorite out of the whole series. This one did a better explanation of Micheal's childhood. The Original though did a better job of actually following Laurie's character though. All and All I think the original is the best but this was a pretty damn well done remake!

Yeah, The original was better because it had a creepy kinda stalking vibe to it. For the most of the movie Micheal is stalking Laurie. So yeah, I agree that the John Carpenter version of this movie is better but what alot of people need to realize is that Rob Zombie wasn't exactly going for a "Remake". after he breaks out of the instituion, its completely the same as the original. the original was scarier, as it is MUCH MUCH scarier not to know why they kill, if you know why it takes away some of the scarieness

U don't need gore, nudity, and cheap thrills to make a horror film. In my opinion John Carpenders version is way better than the remake. Y u ask? BECAUSE ITS THE ORIGINAL! In the original it used suspense and tension for its scariness. Rob Zombie is a good director but i feel that John Carpenders masterpiece should have been left alone.

Lol in my opinion and most people will probably agree. Halloween by Zombie sucked. Not creepy or scary all Zombie did was add a massive amount of blood and gore. Does that make a tense and suspenseful and eerie movie? No it sucked it got panned by critics and it was boring. AT least Carpenter kept people at the edge of their seats the entire movie Zombie bored us the last hour.

All Halloween movies were NOT scary. Not the original, not the remix. They are just kind of suspensful. I think that the past add in was kind of good.
It's a slasher film, they aren't scary.

Why the hell did you mention Saw?Plus we all knew how he got started.Just because it actually SHOWS all that doesn't mean it wasn't know.And this movie isn't better than the original.The original was better because it had that mystery to it, plus it was one of the scariest movies ever without the buckets of blood.And slasher kisses has got to be one of the lamest things I've ever heard of.

Rob Zombie's Halloween was terrible! no, HORRIBLE!! the editing was horrible! The acting was horrible! The casting sucked! The writing sucked! The directing sucked! This movie was utter CRAP!
It's really sad that his Aug. 26th that Rob Zombie's H2 is coming out :( WHY!!??
He tried so hard to put so much input into the Myers character and explaining him.. why? When you explain to much of something, it waters it down and makes it non-scary! Rob made him a typical serial killer

And Rob Zombie just announced the sequel to this movie...so yes, the franchise lives on...I was talking about the original Halloween franchise, which, after so many sequels, just didn't have the same impact as perhaps the first films...that's why Zombie had to reinvigorate the series, and return to the original, you know? Rob did a great job on the remake I think. It is now my favorite out of the whole series. This one did a better explanation of Micheal's childhood. The Original though did a better job of actually following Laurie's character though. All and All I think the original is the best but this was a pretty damn well done remake!

Yeah, The original was better because it had a creepy kinda stalking vibe to it. For the most of the movie Micheal is stalking Laurie. So yeah, I agree that the John Carpenter version of this movie is better but what alot of people need to realize is that Rob Zombie wasn't exactly going for a "Remake". Zombie did come out and say that this is "his" version of the story and how he would do it. Thanks guys. Great review Manny.
