When I saw this on the Saturday evening news down in Colorado Springs (where I live), I was shocked. I know Rex Fowler from several years before when his company hosted an Eiffel (a software language) developers' club over a period of months. Additionally, I met Rex several Saturdays to help with an open source project using Eiffel. He was friendly, always smiling, and the room we used was stuffed with Scientology books (which I found a little creepy).

Rex may have gone a bit too far.
