actually this isn't considered a chorral recomendation quest,part I is but part II is something you can do even if you reach like 100000 days after you finisht he guild. you just aproacg earna (apparently she isn't in the mages guild) and talk to her to get part II

lol the highest Magicka costing spell is something like 800-900, my level 16 atronach with LOTS of magicka potions has about 730 and i dont have the highest lvl sigil stones :D

Yeah at high levels the spell is impossible to use because it take so much magic.

Try to pick it up at lvl 20-30

FOTM can go as far in damage untill it reaches 3670dmg...getting it is really easy and you dont need to cheat.Well you need to reach idk level 57 or something?BUT! to actually use it you need a crapload of mana.in other words..cheats.

i was at like level 12 when this happend: i did the quest, and got finger of the mountain spell, but it required level 75-100 destruction level. and over 5000 magicka to cast it ONCE. im level 78 and i STILL cant access the darn spell! >:(

Finger of the Mountain is actually an AWFUL spell. With the exception of the 1-4 level version (shock damage 6pts), all the leveled versions of the spells cost WAY more magicka to use than is listed as standard in the construction set. For example, the level 26+ version of the spell you see in this video costs 3551 base magicka. According to the construction set it should only cost 1547 magicka. So on PC you should type " 'showspellmaking " (without speechmarks) and do it that way.

@riteasrain no problem lol, basically it brings up the spellmaking thingy you get from the altar of spellmaking via The Arcane University or Frostcrag Spire. I understand that on this the magnitude only goes up to 100, but you can increase the duration of the damage which will basically give the same, if not an even more powerful effect. The only thing I prefer to this method is to create my own spell using the construction set -try 1000 fire damage for 1000 seconds which only costs 1 magicka :D

just to let you no guys if u see that ur spell is weaker then this is because when your a higher level the spells will be a lot more powerful. when ur a lower level, the spell will be weak. if u want the most from this spell, wait till ur at least a level 5. i dont know how much damage it will be but im guessing about 20.
