Ray--you were the higher tenor in the band--Ronnie sang a bit lower, although he did have the range, and Pat was a bit lower than the both of you--I can tell it's you singing on this one! Glad to see that you're still performing--your current band of Chi-town vets is quite accomplished--and you always look to me as if you're having fun! (Can never do without the music--ever!) :>)
Type in "Can't You See me Crying" and New Colony Six and you'll find the whole song. This song is so good I want to hear all of it, then play it again. This song and Things I'd Like to Say are always taking turns as my favorite song (not just NC6 song but any song). This is my favorite right now.
Lead singer is Ronnie Rice and the group is originally from Chicago. Check out what I think is their best, "Things I'd Like to Say". Find the long version of this very nice song. They were really good.
Ronnie sang lead on TILTSay, but I sang lead on CYSMCry! Just call me sensitive but felt compelled to correct ya, newhotman1001. Happy holidays to all and to all a good night...
Thank you for giving me that information. Until you wrote that, i always thought that Ronnie Rice was the lead singer. NC6 was a real favorite of mine and my brother's. I looked your group on Wikipedia and found some really neat info. Thanks again.
You're showing the wrong New Colony Six album cover for this song..."Can't You See Me Cry" was on the New Colony Six "Revelations" album on Mercury.- This song was also released as a 45 on Mercury as well in 1968.

this is such a great a little mid 60's song-not a big hit by this great group but a classic nonetheless
