  • the black team is on crack.

  • kiwis !

  • Haka vs Sipitau

How the tongans should do it vs what the tongans should be doing

  • The meaning behind the trinity haka is to show how all the cultures at the school are united as one. That's why they made their own dance where they close in together in the beginning.

  • Euless TX has a lot of tongans,so the teams should do Tongan war dances instead of ripping off the Maori.

  • @shank894 As a American I want you to notice 2 things about the haka and Sipitau the tightness of there actions and words they spend months learning this along side sports training to not embarrass there countries. As it shames us when we see other teams steal our haka and perform it so wrongly. The other thing is they are speaking in there native tongues they all know and understand the meaning behind every word and actions and the significants of them

  • @shank894 This is coming from someone that has never seen a rugby game in their life.

  • @shank894 And yet none of that makes you awesome. Just another troll.

Try to act your age mate.

  • @shank894 american football bitches also where helmets. enough said

  • This is the best Haka I even seen. RESPECT from Holland

  • to all you people who are telling others that its their culture and to grow up ! they are tongans who are performing and teaching others, it is not their culture its the maori culture. the haka was created by maoris to intimidate white people who tryed to kill them and take their country. The haka is a cultrual spirit and a call for help to their ansestors who fought and died for their country. The maori people are getting angry about it because they do not understand the meaning behind the haka

  • This dance can get anyone pumped for whatever sport you play! Haha I love it!

  • you guys are getting mad because some high school kids stole a dance? wow grow up. All they were doing was showing their culture.

  • @starsfan12345

How would you feel if somebody took something that belongs to you, like your daughter or your sister and rape her? how would you feel? It's the same way the Maori feels when Americans took what belongs to them, the HAKA, and destroyed it.

    YOU GROW UP!!!!!

  • you guys are kidding mad because some high school kids stole a dance? wow grow up. All they were doing was showing their culture.

  • I mean seriously ppl grow up its fucking Kids, i mean ur bitching about a group of kids that were taught BY YOUR KIND, so if it is wrong blame ur own kind for failing at teaching ur kids to do it right. It brings the team closer, they are more motivated and they have fun doing it thats the whole purpose of the dance. Get over it.

  • @kingpincmk123 "YOUR KIND"?! Seems you failed geography as well as English!! You do realise that New Zealand and Tonga are two completely different countries? The "kids" that taught this team to haka are from Tonga. Therefore, they are Tongans, Not Maori!

And like it's been said, over and over and OVER, there wouldn't be a problem if they were doing it correctly! Maybe you need to settle the fuck down, and listen before you comment! You may learn something. BTW there's no e in typing. :D

  • @acidspoodie i think yor the one that needs to pull yor head out your ancestors ass & chill out coz your the one mad @ trinity team for doing haka or whatever you wana call it chill out dude

  • @2blaze4evaGet off the dak start reading my previous comments. Read properly. And go to the other video I posted with the words and meaning. And another thing, don't assume shit about me mate I'm not Maori. I'm part Welsh/Singaporian Chinese, my old man was a New Zealand soldier for 20 years I grew up with Maori's who's fathers were in the army too.

I'm well over the Trojans it's dicks like you who keep posting bullshit that fuck me off. I posted these over 2 1/2 years ago.

  • Now many Maori will deny this, but I will tell it like it is:

Many Maori of today appear to be "white" as there has been much mixing between Maori and the British for at least 140 years. Some Maori have Irish or Scottish heritage, but it's mostly Engaylish. The result of this is Maori that are now obviously very diluted. I believe this weakens a race, but you can't change the past. But there are still Maori around with traditional Maori features, like darker skin and hair, thick build, etc

  • In the end all u fucks from NZ who hate it can stfu. Just cuz a couple of "YOUR KIND" moved to texas and there kids decided to teach there firends and teammates about the hakka doesnt mean they cant do it at the games. If you dont like it dont fucking respond to the video, there fucking High school kids.

  • @kingpincmk123 Meh. Since "OUR KIND" moved to texas and taught not the HAKA but "A" HAKA then they should've tought it right. None of us would have a problem with it if it was done properly.

    SO GO FUCK YOURSELF!

  • @acidspoodie oh really so ur saying if it was done completly right meaning if there parents or someone in NZ while they lived there prperly showed them it and told them the true meaning you and everyone from NZ on youtube would be fine with this. lol yeah right buddy scroll down and go to other videos 2/3 of you talk shit about them period. you ur self might feel that way and i can understand that but majority are against it period for no shown reason.

  • @kingpincmk123 From what I've been told they were'nt even Maori's that moved to Texas. And yes if were done properly it would be an honour and respectful to the culture. I've said it before and I've just said it again. I've even posted a video with the words and meaning: watch?v=O6J_wx8Kpvc. And what it got typically ignored by typically ignorant Americans. You tell us if we "don't like it don't respond". So I have to put the question to you. What the fuck are you responding here for?

  • @acidspoodie And another thing. Do you know how stupid people look when they try to sing a song the don't know the lyrics too?

  • @kingpincmk123 So along with not being able to teach the haka correctly - your American school has failed teaching you English properly. So I'll try to do what your school hasn't for you...

Texas has a capital "T" whether it's at the start of a sentence or in the middle. Friends is spelt as such - not "firends". You referred to "there" kids. When you're referring to people in such a sentence - the correct spelling is THEIR.

And a small Maori lesson - HAKA has ONE k in it.

    Have a nice day.

  • @RHM1980 Oh go this is what i love about the internet, poeple like u who try to correct my spelling when i dont give a fuck. Everyone on here knows what i meant and could figure out what im saying so who cares. i type fast and dont care if someone from NZ doesnt like it. I also love who everyone outside of america trys to take blows at us i find it funny when instead of debating the topic you guys fall as low as talking shit about america or my typeing on fucking YOUTUBE.

  • to the person who replied @kingpincmk123 comment...legally they can.t use the haka "Ka Mate" because the royalties belong to a a group of families or "Hapu" who are descendants of the author of that war chant... so i think you should do some research before you make such a fool of yourself and just keep quiet on matters you no nothing about...so in short that high school team probably broke international law by performing "Ka Mate"...lol

  • its a dam haka relax yor sax maori's ,why u hating on trinity team for doin the haka .how bout yu have yor haka back n stuff yor haka up yor haka-ing ass

  • @2blaze4eva because it's not a haka, it's just a bunch of goons making a whole lotta noise which has no meaning. pull your head out of your ass.

  • Comment removed

  • toooooooooo epic

  • END OF THE DAY who ever is right or wrong. if you dont like it tht an american football team is doing it cuz you feel they dont know the history of it even though you dont know that. fine its ur right to feel that way just dont dog the team for it and talking shit about them cuz you dont know antyhing about them. (an im not refering this to u RHM1980 there are others i have seen talk shit im talking about)

  • oh and btw for those who say this is the "true haka" need to learn ur own fucking history. this kaka is just a familiar type that people notice nd is mislead by the teams fans as what haka is. sad part is half of the team dont even have any background of being related to maori. so stop jumping other people who use it. in the end is the players know the meaning of the haka and respect it who cares who does it.

  • @kingpincmk123 You'd be surprised at how many "Pakeha" people (that means white people btw) do have maori in them. Not only that - Maori culture gets taught at all schools in NZ - public and private. And ANYONE can join a kapahaka group, white, brown, black, yellow, red, purple or orange!!

That's why this subject has angered so many people - it's NOT just the "players" who know the meaning behind it - ALL of NZ does!!

  • @kingpincmk123 I'm sorry - I just really read your comment just then. How can you sit there and say that half of the team don't have a background in Maori culture or they aren't related to any Maori!! That just shows how ignorant you are!!

Get your facts straight before you comment!! This is the NEW ZEALAND MAORI RUGBY TEAM!! They all have Maori blood in them!!!

Like I've said before - you're American - got an opinion on EVERYTHING even though you don't GET it, and you never really will!!!

  • @RHM1980 lol now you wanna bring the american part into this because im american i dont know anything. if you have to bring that out of ur bad your just as ignorant as you claim i am. and now everyone in NZ is fucking maori and not all of them have it in there blood thats like me saying everyone in america has Cherrokee or apachee in them.

  • @kingpincmk123 Where EXACTLY did I say that "everyone in NZ" is "fucking maori"??!! Please show me and I will correct my mistake??

WHAT I SAID WAS...... That ALL the players in this team have Maori Blood in them!! If they didn't - they wouldn't be playing for the NEW ZEALAND MAORI RUGBY TEAM.

Have you ever actually been to New Zealand?? If you have - you wouldn't be so quick to throw your opinions around.

Just give up on this one man - you'll never win an argument - especially against me

  • @RHM1980 um actually 88 ws the last year that the all blacks had all maori players then they started playing players who were at least Native to NZ which doesnt make them Maori it mean they were born and lived in NZ. Like me i ws born and lived in US but doesnt make me native american. i never said You said everyone was maori i pointed out that not everyone in NZ was Maori due to the fact of Christian migration there.

  • @kingpincmk123 Not true - My cousin - Jamie Joseph is the coach of the NZ Maori rugby team (he was also an All Black and played for Otago Province). And I think you'll find that ALL players for the NZ Maori Team have their ancestry verified before selection in the team.

I think you're more than a little confused!!!

You do realise that the ALL BLACKS and the NZ MAORI rugby teams are TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT TEAMS don't you???

  • @RHM1980 you on the other hand pointed out that everyone on the team was maori wetaher it be full or partial cuz they were from NZ thats where my point came into play. you keep saying Maori is in there blodd in all the players nd they have to be to ply on the team well up until 88 yeah ur right but the tem changed there position on that and made it where you had to be from NZ to play on the team.

  • @kingpincmk123 WRONG!! They all have to have their ancestry checked and verified before being selected for the NZ MAORI team!!

Don't argue about this with me man!! I know what I'm talking about!! I certainly know more about the subject than you do. Having been born in New Zealand, and lived there all my life, up until 2 yrs ago.

Having a cousin that COACHES the NZ Maori team and another one that was in the U19 world cup - and they won.

    GIVE IT UP DUDE!!

You don't get it and NEVER will!!!!

  • @RHM1980 Thanks for the comment dude, I really could not be bothered replying to this fulla.

  • @acidspoodie No worries cuz.

  • @RHM1980 Hes a Yank, he wont understand anything dude. You're right, hes dumb lmfao!

  • @kingpincmk123 u dont know anything about nz and polynesian culture. u have no idea about this genetic make up. . the polynesian gene and the european gene mix well and thats why u have white people eg blonde and ginger with maori and polynesian blood in them.

  • @maristsp When it comes to genetics i dont know whit neither do you are any fool on youtube. plain and simple what i was putting out there is the people in your society today are no where close to the same as it was hundreds of years ago. just like native americans in the USA, yeah there are many full blodded of half here but doesnt mean they know much about there own culture. i might come out like an ass and sorry if i do but it pissing me off when ppl from NZ say trinity is stupid for doing it

  • @kingpincmk123 but ur wrong again the maori people do look very similar today compared to 500 years ago. like i said before these 'white' maoris didnt come about from hundreds of years of mixed marriage with europeans. its common for a white man and full polynesian woman to have a child that looks exactly like their father. -with white skin- and vice versa, because the genes mix so well.

and a haka is a celebratory war cry used before battle just so u know.

  • american football sucks donkey dick

  • any yank would be wishing they were with their mum if got caught up with a pissed of maori....

  • mean haka... weak sipi tau.

  • Trinity has just finished a remakable season where it turned a 1-2 start into a 3rd 5A Texas State Championship.

This September Trinity welcomes the highly regareded Shiloh Christian Saints , holders of a remarkable 24 Arkansas State titles of their own and who are the defending 4A Arkansas state champs. Should be quite a game

    T's UP!

  • Who the hell cares about Trinity?

get the hell out of here punk.

this video doesn't need that gay trinity crap.

  • @tx2nz

Well, seeing as the word Haka is a Maori word for our War Dance, I'd assume that the Maori Natives did begin this traditional dance.

Their are many different variations of war dances know-it-all, the Sipi Tau is what it is called in Tonga and it is called a Haka in New Zealand (which means it is different from the Sipi Tau).

Learn your history before speaking Spammer.

  • Now THAT'S how you do a Haka!!! Go boys!!!

  • Dude im a cheerleader for trinity high school, :D

  • @lalasadieexo

yeah cool, i'm so happy for your achievement.

  • if you go to this high school - you may want to tell them what the majority of comments say about them "performing" Ka Mate Ka Mate!! Maybe if they learned how to perform it properly and pronounce every word, and learned the meaning behind it (that's right - it wasn't invented to psych up footy players), there wouldn't be so much of a problem with you doing it!! Do you have any Maori boys playing for your team? Not Tongan, Hawaiian, Samoan or Fijian - But Maori boys?!? This is a NZ haka!!!

  • @RHM1980 how do u know if they know what it means or not. i love watching both sides go at in on this topic its so funny. its not something that the students started at trinity the coach of the team started it by teaching them about it and the meaning and the reason i know this cuz the local news covered the story when trinity started to do it. Just like the highland rugby team.

  • @kingpincmk123 Ok - so then it's the coach that got it all wrong - kinda makes it worse!

You only have to watch their pitiful excuse for a haka to know that they don't understand anything about it! If our primary - sorry "elementary" - schools can do a better job of it than they can - SOMETHING ain't right!

My problem with it is that they don't have ANY Maori players on their team. They have Tongan players - do a TONGAN war dance!! At least then they'll have people that are qualified teach it!

  • @RHM1980 so ur main problem is that the players are not Maori, for some things i can understand for a chant i cant. but let me ask you this is every player on the all blacks a true blooded Maori. when i say true i mean they do everything that the Moari did religously and in the way they lived. im going out on a limb and say no they are not. and before u try to attack me for this talk to anyone who still goes by the Maori ways in every way of life and ask them how they feel about it.

  • @kingpincmk123 No - my "main problem" is that the people on that team have their own culture, their own traditions. And at least there are Maori players on the All Blacks! They ALL understand the tradition behind the haka. To them it's not just another "fad" like it is in the States. It's history, tradition and culture. It's THEIR history, tradition and culture. They aren't just chanting and doing a war dance. Even the actions mean something. But I guess you'll never really understand.

  • @RHM1980 no i understand you 100% but what you have to realize is its not a fad. nd it doesny ONLY belong to the Maori. Yes were they the ones that started it, but it doesnt mean no one else can do it even if they dont understand the history. would it be nice if people could know of the history better maybe but who are you to judge the kids doing it. how do you know for a fact they dont understand. you dont oyur just another judgemental person who can only complain cuz he can.

  • @kingpincmk123 1stly I'm a SHE. 2ndly - I'm not judging the kids that are doing it - have I made any personal attacks against them!? No!! And lastly - I saw the CBS about them, and their comment was that the haka was the "new thing" - which says to me that it is like a fad.

What's wrong with taking your own culture and using that? Could it be because America tried to cull it's original culture - the native americans - a long time ago. If they were truly proud - they'd use their own culture.

  • daaaaaaaaaamn that shit was hardcore.......I LOOOOOOOOVED IT!

  • True that UHtiger good to see shan and piriu p front reping those maori boarding school that's how a haka should b done T.A , H.P reping hard

  • Hato paora and te aute representing hard up the front of that haka, too much boys.

  • I am white and it looks REALLY goofy seeing white boys doing that.

  • They have Maori blood in them, that's why they are on the Maori team.

But anyway you only think it looks goofy cause your a yank and you don't have a clue about us.

  • Do you know anything about 'yanks'? Probably not.

So shut your mouth, seriously. This is badass, and it doesn't take someone from NZ to recognize it. He was showing no disrespect, but it's a fact: it just looks a lot better when someone who looks clearly 'Maori' does a Haka.

  • Yeah I do have a clue about yanks ya fucker, more than you'll ever think I know cunt.

  • Enlighten me, ye fount of great wisdom. ;)

  • well for a start America forfit anonimity a long time ago, anyone would have to be a right fucking retard to not know anything about america. Considering we are all from the same colonies that set out to take over the world and fought for independance against the brittish empire.

  • @JudgeThane They aren't "white boys" - That's the NZ Maori rugby team.

That's why American's will never get it!! Never have - never will!!!

Over there you're either white, black or other. There's no in between - and those that are of mixed cultural heritage, get overlooked, whereas in New Zealand - we are a truly multi cultural country, and we accept everyone - not just at face value.

  • Tongan Jesus at 0:15!

  • Great to see the teams haka get a mention on TV. Maori culture seems to be making the rounds. maybe there should be a study of all the various hakas to give other teams a chance to choose one that isn't being done by everyone else.

i remmember as a kid seeing a few hakas that wre quite spectacular.

During World War I and world war II maori battalion were often told to do it to put fear into the enemy.

  • is it really that big of deal that trinity does it? theyre obviously impressed by it they use to intimidate just like the all blacks do i know its not as good and kinda stupid but they obviouslt respect the all blacks if theyre attempting it

  • They may respect the All Blacks at face value but if they had tru respect for the culture, 1. They would perfom the Haka word for word, and action for action, so we wouldn't have an issue with it if they perfomed it with valor. 2. We like to be impressed, so they should learn Te Reo Maori and get it right. If they think that they are so closley tied to us, since we are all children of Maui, It shouldn't be to hard for them to learn maori.

  • Yes this is the way it's supposed to be done - but I also love it that 'Ka mate' is being performed by others. Isn't this a good way for people/foreigners to get interested in our culture? It is a compliment to our people and we can promote this further by not shitting on their efforts...

  • @DamBelCha You're right - It WOULD be good IF they were actually interested in our culture. Problem is - they're not. They are only doing the haka to pump themselves up before the big game. They don't care about why we do it, what it means, how to pronounce the words properly or how to perform it properly. All they care about is getting their players riled up for the game.

  • @RHM1980 ;-} Mate - I have seen the haka performed all over the world - through Europe and Asia. Most of the time it has looked terrible but I have admired the spirit with which it was performed. If only the purists did the haka, eventually no one would do it. Of course players do it to 'rile' themselves up before the game: Kiwis do it all the time. I didn't know the story about 'Ka mate' until I joined the Army but that didn't stop me doing it with the strength and respect it deserves...

  • how bout u shut the fuck up all of you!! trinity does it only to pump up the players, and you cant sit there and tell me if u got off ur sorry ass and played any kind of team sport u wouldnt want to get pumped up and get ur mind focused as a team b4 the game?? so bite a dick u cunt bags

  • I dont know if it was smart to put this on youtube the dumbass American football teams might steal this aswell

  • Dayum these guys are sooo fuken HOT!

  • oh ya! im at trinity!

  • this is how its done Trinity....you have no idea how to perform this as it truly is.......

  • now THIS is how u do it truely!! TRINITY HOW BOUT YA LEARN SUMTN...OR DNT DO IT AT ALL!!! LOL mo ta'e!!

  • malie L.D. Bell lol

  • stupid hawaiian college football teams ...take note and learn sumthing

this is how the haka should be done bitches

hosea u sexy bitch marry me :P

  • WOW !!!

  • THIS IS THE HAKA IN IT'S TRUEST FORM!!

  • shet that gave me the shivers even though im maori from new zealand this was intense, cheaaaaa

  • ow, didnt realise thomas waldrom had any maori blood in him, too much shannon, Hato Paora repping

  • the biggest crowd then....haha

the island teams would probably be one of the few sides who genuinely would feel zero intimidation from the haka hahahahaha

  • mate..

  • That's lame. Looks like a lot of people were in the stands.

  • Trinity suck! all they do is rip off ka mate.. in a bad way at that

  • Now THIS is what Im talking about... HAKA MAARO RAWA ATU NEI!!!

  • this is haka at its finest by both polynesian teams...Euless Trinity's haka is crap! no where in comparison...they could learn a great deal from this video...

  • Red team = Tongans...The Sipi tau.

    Black team = NZ/Maori....The Haka
