WOW! I am really impressed! I would kill for a strong voice like yours! I am attempting this song with my singing teacher at the moment (as a sort of project) and I am envious of that voice! Do you have any tips for me with the breathing technique? Would love to hear from you and congrats one last time.
I really think you have amazeing voice.. good job .. I had tears in my eyes .. good job.. my name is chris..and i also wanted to see if you love to add me on msn its Chris-keats@live.ca
Good rendition , but my personal favourite of this song is Colm Wilkinson, whom obviously is a professional ........... so that is what you are up against.........
all i can say is that this is one of my favourite songs of all time and you nailed it. i was tearing up. thanks for singing such amazing songs so amazingly :D
I'm completely and utterly saddened by the fact that I',m just not seeing your videos. You're so talented. As soon as I get a newer microphone, expect a video response for "All I Ask of You." Wow, just wow.
wow I sing this in the lower key and I really loved your tone and sound quality is great, nice sound system is the mic expensive? also without a mixer how o you add reverb or do you play with it afterwards using software?
I tell you, this is a really hella hard song to nail, and with the exception of a few pitch issues from 2:10-2:18 (picky), I thought you nailed it. Very well done. I am a bit of a Les Mis fiend; have seen it too many times in too many places from too many players, but I give you solemn props for even making an attempt at this number after having heard you pull off "Stars." Javert and Valjean are always cast as seperate vocals because of the massive range differences. Well done dude. Big props.
I've watched your videos from 1st to most recent. The change in your voice is amazing. Are you in college as a vocal major? Your improvements sound like they came from well structured vocal lessons. Regardless, after hearing this I think your voice is brilliant. I've seen the references to your illness but from the beauty of these vocal recordings there doesn't seem to be anything you can't sing. While you may be posting these for yourself, I am so grateful that you have shared them with us,
Ok so there are alot of people saying to drop it down an octave...DON'T DO THAT!!! The song is not meant to be sung THAT low. There are plenty of arrangements in different keys. Try finding one a 3rd lower...major or minor 3rd, shouldn't matter with your high range. Everything except the high notes is great! Keep on singing but be careful not to hurt yourself by singing too high and having to force the notes at the top...i'm sure you know that can cause permanent vocal damage. Nice job! :)
hey man your a good singer but try singing an octave lower because the high note kill of your voice i song nesune dorma a few weeks back and could not talk for a week
no offence man but try an octave lower i had the same sort of problem hiting the high notes and i hate getting sick, i had rinoplastery a few months ago and my sing ing voice has increased alot keep singing i like your voice
I was sceptical at the start (as this is one of my favourite songs and very difficult to sing), but when you sung I can honestly say that you have an incredible voice and you did the song justice. Excellent job.
Hi Brett. I always find myself listening to your beautiful voice. It just really touches me. : ) Btw, please remember that liking a video isn't about the quality of the video when someone has your vocal ability! : ) I look forward to seeing more videos. And hope that you will consider visiting my channel. : )
Whoa. You shocked me there. I didn't know how good it was going to be singing by yourself on a youtube video, but I have to say you did AMAZING!!! I will definitely be subscribing:)
Unfortunately I haven't even heard that for the longest time now :p
I'm looking into a few doctors right now to try and get my tonsils out. My dad used to get sick all of the time too until he had his tonsils out and after that he's almost never sick anymore. Hoping to get that done this summer :)
@PTOPhantom When will you be posting more videos? I would like to if can do a duet with you of Point of No return if that is ok. I have heard your version and it is brilliant.
I am turning in to a fan of yours. Lets hope you post more videos up soon.
he did play Valjean in his schools production of Les Mis, if you havent already watch him singing Empty Chairs at Empty Tables. He does most songs from this musical real well.
b) -continued- I think adding "Calgary," "Calaway Live," "Alberta," "Canada," etc as tags on all your videos might be a good idea because you never know who might be watching. Some of the biggest breaks in life can happen in your own back yard (as you pursue your long term goal to Broadway).
a) Haircuts? What? Oh yeah, I have a vague memory of getting one of those years ago. haha
b) Having never made a video myself, I can't offer any suggestions for improvement. However, I think you might be able to increase the number of views on your videos by adding tags for composers, lyricists, and librettists. For a musical as famous as Les Mis, it might not matter much. But I've found many videos on YouTube by searching for composers and lyricists. Also, you might add "West End" as a tag because the London production is as noteworthy as the Broadway run.
Excellent job! Very good on the high notes! The music sometimes drowned you out. Next time, make the music quieter so that your voice can stand out more. You have great musicality.
This is really good, there are parts where you really shine and parts where we notice you're sick :p a rule of thumb would be to not try to record songs that go veeery high when you have a cold :D
I use a Samson G Track recording microphone. It is a USB microphone so it is very easy to use and I didn't need to buy a mixer or anything else to go with it :P
Your haircut looks fine. Nice. You amaze me. Even not feeling well, you've done a wonderful job with this. There were some parts that were a little soft where you were drowned out but otherwise you shined. Other than having very expensive professional grade hardware, not sure what else you can do. It also depends on codecs and compression methods used to upload them. 5 stars for you to make you happy. Listening to you sing makes me happy.
I love the new hair. and I think your opera voice suits your talent in singing the best. I love it!!

I like you because your singing voice is so nice to listen to, and because your speaking voice reminds me of Joss Whedon. Which is awesome.
Do you use autotuning? (if not, take that question as a compliment! You never seem to go out of tune)
