I don´t think Zuleika was unhappy because neither Venezuela nor Brazil won. She´s unhappy when seeing Japan winning the crown the MU organization is just washing their reputation for the fraudulent result of 2006, when Puerto Rico took over the real winner JAPAN. Yep she did. But I read in an interview that before she competed for Ms. Universe she ran 3 miles a day and spent 3 hours in the gym. She also watched her diet very carefully. Once she became Miss Universe she spent 6 hrs on a plane and 3 hrs getting her makeup and hair ready, no time to exercise. Also Zuleyka was given major dinners around the world in her honor. It would have been an insult for her host if she just ate a salad and a 3 oz of meat.

But I think the contestants even though they can speak English choose a translator to express their answers with their local flavors and idiosyncrasies. They can speak any language they want to speak. Most people in the US don't even know more than one language! I think that is sadder than being knowledgeable about more than one language even if it does not include English. I thought the same thing about the crowning. I saw another video on youtube after Zuleyka placed the crown on Miss Japan and the latter vowed her head forward with her hands in praying mode and the crown fell off. She and Zuleyka quickly caught it. Zuleyka should concentrate on her next career move, take that drama & TV course she won and now that she has the time loose the weight for her and for future jobs job in front of the camera.

She looked tense perhaps she did not want to fall either like Miss USA. Her dress was too long. But Zuleyka looked Stunning, She looked Gorgeous!!! Some people has been mean spirited to her with their comments, how ugly, how fat how this and how that. The girl is only 19 years olds and she has feelings too. She did a great job as MU 2006.

last year japan should have won... maybe zuleyka thinks the organization is taking back what the did last year as a form of regret. oh well, its in the past hahaha. But honestly, last year zuleyka wasnt pretty but she was gorgeous this year.

i'm not saying she's ugly - she IS very pretty, all i'm saying is that she didn't even give miss japan a kiss, hug or even a congratulation! i didn't see her smile - seems like she was disappointed somehow...
P.S: while placing the crown on miss japan, i think she purposely wanted to make it slip off her head, but again tha's my opinion. :)

I thought the same thing about the crowning. I saw another video on youtube after Zuleyka placed the crown on Miss Japan and the latter vowed her head forward with her hands in praying mode and the crown fell off. She and Zuleyka quickly caught it. Zuleyka should concentrate on her next career move, take that drama & TV course she won and now that she has the time loose the weight for her and for future jobs job in front of the camera.
