i remember this was the trailer of how i found out about Rapunzel being a disney princess about a year ago i was excited, then the first looks came out i was studded to see how the characters looked and the landscapes were beautiful, then the trailers which was how the look was 3D i love it afterward the soundtrack which i enjoy hearing, mandy moore voice is gorgeous and finally the movie came out i saw it twice enjoyed every piece of it now i'm just wait for it to come out on DVD
@WickedCrazyTiger Wow you have a terrible taste in movies if you prefer Dreamworks to PIXAR. Pixar is the best at telling great stories, having beautiful visuals, and combining comedy with heartfelt moments. That's like saying you prefer Transformers 2 to 2001: A Space Odyssey.
"I've been looking out the window for 18 years" is not from this film... it's from the film in which she played the first daughter... As i can remember..;p
i personally think people have got to suck it up. disney's all about change and the exploration of animation as an art form! This isn't actually a "3d" movie, but apparently it's more like "moving oil paintings" and that sounds pretty innovative to me. I adore the hand-drawn tradition just as much as anyone, but who knows? something fantastic will arise from this!
Why does no one like the title? This is a new age. I mean, I love the traditional movies as much as the next girl, but they want their Rapunzel to stand out above the rest (you've got to admit, it's really over done). They want the title to catch the eye, to make people believe before actually seeing real footage that its not any old fairy tale. I like the title. I think it's daring.
I hope Disney would change the title back to "RAPUNZEL". Changing the title from "Rapunzel" to "TANGLED" is like: "Beauty and the Beast" - "BELLE VS. BEAST" "Aladdin" - "WIPE THE LAMP" "The Lion King" - "ROAR" "Pocahontas" - "PATHS" "Snow White..." - "BEWARE OF THE APPLE" "Sleeping Beauty" - "PRICK" "Cinderella" - "CLOCK STRIKES 12" "Pinocchio" - "BOY WOODEN" "Alice in Wonderland" - "DIZZY" "Peter Pan" - "FLY PETER FLY" "101 Dalmatians" - "PUPPIES: FULLY LOADED"
I hope Disney's happy that they've really let me down... AGAIN! I was really hoping for a hand-drawn princess movie of my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE princess but NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE HATE HAAAAATE DUMBASS PIXAR TYPE CRAP! THE ONLY GOOD MOVIE MADE THIS WAY WAS SHREK AND DRAGONS.... both made by Dreamworks.... and the only good Dreamworks movies too... well, I do love Kung Fu Panda too. I'm still very utterly disappointed.
I think that it's strange they changed the title. I have a best friend who happens to be a guy and we watch The Princess and The Frog all the time. We saw it together at least 4 times in the theatre. It was a great movie! Names shouldn't turn people off from seeing a movie.
You don't even show Rapunzel!?!?! COME ON! You're killing me Disney! At least with the Princess and the Frog teaser, they had Tiana, Naveen, and even Ray at the end! But I suppose that since it is a Pixar or 3D film, it's taking a little longer. *sigh* Ohh well.
I have no problem with The Princess and the Frog. I may be a boy, but I give that movie infinite A+. And by the way, to my belief: it is not the title that bothers boys, it is probably the story. Because Disney is not making the story strong enough. And I know, because when I watched The Princess and the Frog, there are few things that are a little bit a waste of time, like the Frog Hunters, they are not receiving enough lines for the movie. They just hunt and run away.
I think I understand why Disney called it Tangled instead of Rapunzel, because Flynn Rider, the bandit, got himself TANGLED with Rapunzel, and has no choice but to assist her. Especially when she uses her hair to TANGLE him, to make sure he does not escape. By the way, Rapunzel is so cute, I like to imagine my nephew spending time with her like brother like sister.
They're calling it Tangled because they thought Rapunzel was too girly, and apparently The Princess and the Frog didn't get as much money or whatever that they wanted and they felt it was because "princess" was in the title and it didn't appeal to boys.

@melsibrith 100% agreed . if it were called 'Rapunzel' it would seem like just an ordinary fairytale .

Disney should make an epic rated r fantasy adventure movie unlike any other. Why? Because they could do it.
