This and the Civil War series by Ken Burns are, by far, the greatest creations for either television or the big screen . . . masterpieces in their own right . . . and I don't know which I like better! I suppose each has it's own place for me. Absolutely perfect!
This kind of thing of thing makes me outraged at kids in my grade. They say pledge of alligance like they don't care at all. People like Joe toy sacrificed themselves for this country and they cant give them 30 seconds of respect....pitiful..
@tompd9 The pledge of allegiance has nothing to do with respecting soldiers. If you want to respect soldiers, you can do that on your own time. No one should be forced or expected to respect our soldiers and support war in school.
@Liface Its pitiful that you think this. Who's blood was spilt to ensure the flight of the stars and stripes? Who's limbs were lost, to allow others to have the freedom to work and be themselves today? Who's faith was tested, so that others may practice it freely here? Who's security was broken, so that others may feel secure in their own home? These men, these few lucky men, were the brothers, saying the pledge of allegiance is a remembrance to those lost. For all gave some, and some gave all.
@Liface It may not have the words referred to our brave soldiers, but it is the proud symbol of those who lost some, and those who lost all, so that you can trample on their pride saying that that pledge is nothing but words.
in the summer of 2010 i met dick winters and talked to him for a while he was a really nice gut to and later on i learned that during korean war my grandfather met him the same date 60 years before while going through a old photo album true story
I cry every time I watch this movie. I cry out of sorrow... for the men who died and the ones who live. These men alive have such a burdened memory to live with for the rest of our lives. I salute all the men in WWII. Thank you.
This is the best ending ever! It's hard to say but yes, I cried. Because of these men, we are watching this video and without them, most of us would be dead.
Thank you for your sacrifice and our freedom. Thank you for liberating my country, dropping weapons to my grandfather to help him fighting Germans. You won't be forgotten. Never.
I honestly was in tears when I first saw the ending. After following these men through ten episodes and the entire war, it feels like you actually know them. It was very heartbreaking to think of the brothers that did not make it to play that final baseball game. Thank you all for serving
"from this day to the ending of the world, we in it shall be remembered, we lucky few, we band of brothers. For he who today sheds his blood with me today, shall be my brother"
que buena serie ,,,no conocia que esta gente existio y que hicieron tantas cosas por la paz y la libertad de los pueblos y luchar contra la miseria humana ,,,que dominar el mundo .....
The most epic mini-series in the history of anything WWII related, on HBO before or since, and in the history of Television itself. The theme song is even epic. God, I love this show and these men. I get choked up as soon as I see this final scene.
These guys all turned out to be amazing people. I have HUGE respect for my grandpa. He was in the pacific, and worked hard to be come a successful car dealer after the war. He's my biggest role model ever along with all these.

These men were the real heroes. Not only did they serve, they went above and beyond. THIS WAS A GOOD REMBER THE FALLEND WHO RISED THEIR LIVES FOR OUR FREEDOM AND LIFED THE STORM OF OF THE WORLD THEY WILL BE ALWAYS REBERED FOREVER GOD BLESS THE UNITED STATES AND GOD BLESS THE THE U.S MILLTARY AND THE ONES WHO FOUGHT LIVING OR DEAD
many many thanks for the men of Easy Capmany who are still with us and those who are gone. with great respect, I always think of you on liberation day here in Holland and I like to want to get in touch with someone who has experienced it all. Thank you and God bless you
How would you react when your commanding officer gathers you and your squad up and announce that the war was officially over? Cheer, laugh, cry, or... like these folks... sit there, stare at your officer. and let it sink in? If you ask me... I'll just be like these guys.
every time i watch the whole series, and i watched it at least 20 times, it always gives me chills and tears to my eyes at this final scene where winters is talking about his brothers in arms....
"....grandpa were you hero in the war???" Grandpa said no. "But i served in the company of heroes"
Was an operator small nothing, of a big something, I can say with a full heart, am eyes filled with tears. I was not a hero in a war but a served in a company of heroes. To all my band of brothers that stayed back in the sand, mountains, may God receive u with open arms,I'll rotate there someday, "bleed in bleed out"
From this day to the ending of the world, we and it shall be remembered, we lucky few; we band of brothers , for he who today sheds his blood with me shall be my brother
For those that think we forget...... My grandfather was a hero earning a medal from the king at Vimy Ridge, his brother died on the shores of Normandy years later. My uncle enlisted in the second world war, the eldest son of a war veteran. And myself.... I was declined from enlisting due to health but the dream never dies.
I don't want glory or fame I want what they wanted to send families home to each other to give dignity to those stripped of it.
It saddens me to think that future generations are probably going to forget about these heroes... Just like people forgot about World War 1 heroes...
I promise that I will try my best to honor those who died in this war for the rest of my life, and make sure that our children know who those men were, and what they fought for.
the look of underachievement in there eyes at first is kind of odd. Because you would think that they would be jumping up and down with joy yet when they finally got to go home they had to say now what. They had been through hell together and dreamed about going home from the first time they had been in combat yet once they finally heard they were going home they had realized that there's no good in goodbye.
@SuperDubnut RIP All Forces. Friend or Foe. While I hate Adolf and the several savage nazi's, it doesn't mean we should hate all axis forces. Forgive, but do not forget, and learn from the mistakes.
@SuperDubnut It hurts to see this generation. They were real men. I look at my peers who are 14-16, almost the age where you put in your name for the draft, and I think to myself, "with all that could happen in the next years, will these boys be able to do half as well as those men seventy years ago?" It's scary that so many of them are dead now or very old. I only wish I could have lived back then when chivalry was the mood.
best series ever saddest ending ever and does any1 no what happened to joe toy and i wish they made a couple more episodes inbetween if it was possible
The men and women that have served before me are the inspiration I will take with me when I walk into the recruiters office and sign up to serve my country.
But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.
What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.
this series is a GREAT tibute to all Allies in ww2 SAlut you heroes who fought and died for the sake of FREEDOM for the this beutiful planet earth and humanity on earth! cant thank you enough for the sacrafice you allies made in war. BIG ENDLESS SALUT AND THANKS!
Why the f...ck do I always have chill in the back of my spine in the beginning and a bit of tear in my eye when Dick Winters says his final words? This is f..king brilliant!
Another great scene is the "church one" when Easy Company guys sit and listen to christmas carols and the dead ones "fade and disappear". Very moving...
I'm hardcore judging the ignorant souls that disliked this video. Major side-eye going on. These men are heroes, and this depiction of them is brilliant.
@chickenchokedback that makes no sense...Germany wasnt communist, it was fascist (these 2 ideals clash significantly). Russia was the communist country, so was China. Both of them were on the sides of the Allies.
All of the work that these men have done for our country, and you have the balls to Dislike this video commemerating and honoring these men? Shame on all of you, really. You should feel ashamed.
"...As a testament to his character 1600 people attended his funeral..." I love that, it makes me cry... This whole scene makes me cry... Best show ever made
Band of Brothers is still the best war film/series i have seen to this day. To every solider who lost their lives, no matter the side, you'll be remembered for being a apart of it. The ending always get me, real tear jerker!
i just finished the book by Stephen Ambrose, my eyes are now open more than ever to the sacrifice of a soldier during WWII. My respect for these men will never falter and to be able to speak to one about their experiences would be an honor. God bless those living and dead that served in this band of brothers and god bless the soldiers of that time.
I've never done this before, but i think 10 people were so damn teary eyed, they missed the like button

All i can say is god grant these remaining vets longer and happie

How would you react when your commanding officer gathers you and your squad up and announce that the war was officially over? Cheer, laugh, cry, or... like these folks... sit there, stare at your officer. and let it sink in? If you ask me... I'll just be like these guys.

God bless those that make this sacrifice.

It saddens me to think that future generations are probably going to forget about these heroes... Just like people forgot about World War 1 heroes...
I promise that I will try my best to honor those who died in this war for the rest of my life, and make sure that our children know who those men were, and what they fought for.
Thank you for your sacrifice.

the look of underachievement in there eyes at first is kind of odd. Because you would think that they would be jumping up and down with joy yet when they finally got to go home they had to say now what. They had been through hell together and dreamed about going home from the first time they had been in combat yet once they finally heard they were going home they had realized that there's no good in goodbye.

Puts a lump in my throat every single time i see this. A beautiful ending to a masterpiece.
I feel as though i know every one of these men, but i dont even live on the same continent.
Truly the "Greatest Generation".
RIP all members of Easy and the Allied Forces.

@SuperDubnut RIP All Forces. Friend or Foe. While I hate Adolf and the several savage nazi's, it doesn't mean we should hate all axis forces. Forgive, but do not forget, and learn from the mistakes.

You really need to take a step back and "ease up".
SuperDubnut 6 months ago
@SuperDubnut It hurts to see this generation. They were real men. I look at my peers who are 14-16, almost the age where you put in your name for the draft, and I think to myself, "with all that could happen in the next years, will these boys be able to do half as well as those men seventy years ago?" It's scary that so many of them are dead now or very old. I only wish I could have lived back then when chivalry was the mood.

But if I tell that obvious truth about the ongoing program of genocide against my race, the white race, Liberals and respectable conservatives agree that I am a naziwhowantstokillsixmillionjews.
They say they are anti-racist. What they are is anti-white.
Anti-racist is a code word for anti-white.

How long would it take anyone to realise I’m not talking about a RACE problem. I am talking about the final solution to the BLACK problem?
And how long would it take any sane black man to notice this and what kind of psycho black man wouldn’t object to this?
dungeoncrawler55 7 months ago

Everybody says the final solution to this RACE problem is for EVERY white country and ONLY white countries to “assimilate,” i.e., intermarry, with all those non-whites.
What if I said there was this RACE problem and this RACE problem would be solved only if hundreds of millions of non-blacks were brought into EVERY black country and ONLY into black countries?
dungeoncrawler55 7 months ago

Everybody says there is this RACE problem. Everybody says this RACE problem will be solved when the third world pours into EVERY white country and ONLY into white countries.
The Netherlands and Belgium are just as crowded as Japan or Taiwan, but nobody says Japan or Taiwan will solve this RACE problem by bringing in millions of third worlders and quote assimilating unquote with them.

@chickenchokedback that makes no sense...Germany wasnt communist, it was fascist (these 2 ideals clash significantly). Russia was the communist country, so was China. Both of them were on the sides of the Allies.

i just finished the book by Stephen Ambrose, my eyes are now open more than ever to the sacrifice of a soldier during WWII. My respect for these men will never falter and to be able to speak to one about their experiences would be an honor. God bless those living and dead that served in this band of brothers and god bless the soldiers of that time.
