I think he's more like Garnett than a small foward. KG is a bit taller but their game is very very similar. I don't see the comparison to Durant at all, very very different game, i.e. Durant is more of a shooter and Perry is more of a post player. Perry should be listed as a power forward instead.
My comparison for this guy would be: Kevin Durant potentiol but his comparison I think should be Dwight Howard, same height, both athletic both good in the paint...
@XxAC130Time1xX this kid averaged 11 pts his freshmen year Durant averaged 25. just because your 6 10 and can shoot and handle doesn't mean your Durant .. Durant is a 10 shooter Perry Jones is a 8 at best, probably 7 tho.
BIG mistake not coming out this year....he's gonna become a second option on his own team behind Miller and completely fall out of the top 10 in next year's draft.
@totino2456 LOL are you joking?! What are you basing that on? Him being a single inch taller? Perry has YET to refine his skills as Quincy already HAS despite Miller being YOUNGER?! Go read ANY websites review of both players...all of them are much higher on Quincy cuz he is far more aggresive and skilled like true STAR players not Anthony Randolphs 2.0 aka Perry Jones.
@ry27sm No im not joking at all, and who knows what millers game will be like coming off this injury, maybe more skilled but less athletic? And the only skills I haven't seen perry shown at a high level is his ball handling which Miller does have a nice handle. Websites are websites for a reason they create hype im sure not all the reviews are the same, Im sure you didn't see perry on the front cover of the NY Times? I dont know he's got to be somewhat talented too pull that off?
This guy has the most potential. I think next year, he'll declare. Hopefully his teammates would pass him the ball more often and let the offense run through him 'cause in the NBA that's what his role is gonna be. I see him having a ceiling of T-Mac, yes, essential no ceiling. Hopefully he doesn't get injured and stays focus.
@eatpie80 Because most of the time, the guards handle the ball and every time he gets it to his teammates they never make shots,,, if you watch the baylor games he is an excellent passer,, has great basketball i.q.,, its just a matter of teammates not making shots and lack of getting the ball
hey guys im a huge fan of him and i havnt seen many of his games so far but ik he has the potential to make nba anyone know his stats so far? (points rebounds blocks assists steals)
@larrybird1033 Yeah, Most likely he will, He's A Surefire lottery pick (probably top 5) once he goes out of college this year. Though i think it would be better for him if he stayed one more year at baylor
I would take him number 1 right now based on potential. The Cavs, the Wizards and the Raptors and Nets all need talent vs need. Minnesota is the only team that doesn't need him, because of Beaseley. Not a fan of the word potential with guys who are just freakishly athletic and nothing else, but he's seems to have a good attitude and unselfish.
Interesting if the cavs lock up the first overall pick and he does come out. The cavs should draft him. Idk what the cavs plain to do interms of player movement if the plain to unload mo the should draft Irving from duke but if i were him i would stay at least another year at Duke...i am a duke fan but Irvings missed a lot of games plus he may miss the rest of the season a lot of game experience lost. Perry comes out and mo still a cav the cavs need this guy I think he will be great
@Bulls23331 Totally agree. I'm from Cleveland anad really want this guy to join the Cavs. Ever since LBJ left I've said we need a big guy like amare. Someone who good with the ball and can shoot for a big guy. This is the man. Not Sullinger because he's 6'9 for a power forward and quite slow, but because Jones is a decent shooter for a big man, can dribble and just has good all around fundamentals. Also they need someone unlike Jamison who shoots the ball every time he gets it.
is it just me..shouldnt this kid be the number 1 option on offense for baylor instead of machine gun kelly aka lacedarious dunn? Its frustrating as hell watching dunn shooting all them bricks when you have a lotto pick getting no love
One more year of college could only help. He'll develop more skills, become a smarter player and if he hits the gym and beefs up a little bit he could make an impact in the NBA immediately instead of taking 3-4 years to develop or ending up a bust.
i never agreed with that stay in college stuff sure kwame brown was bad but a alot of guys come from college and still end up being a bust most of the best players now were drafted early kobe lebron dwight monta ellis amare all highschool blake griffin john wall carmelo kevin durant all 1 year in college staying in college longer could mature a player more but it definately cant make them nba ready skill wise
@caolanmccreesh NOPE....Cavs are trading Mo Williams and drafting Kyrie Irving.......But Perry is second if we get raped in the lottery and Kyrie is gone by the time we draft. The last seed in th league is only guarunteed a top 4 pick in the draft I believe
Thats Kyrie
Perry
Jared Sullinger
Harrison Barnes(Keeps playin like ass he'll drop further he used to be number 1)
@younghoush that would suck man. i'm a kings fan, and when we got the 4th pick, my heart fricken sunk. in the end it didn't turn out too bad since we got tyreke. i really think terrence jones is a top 4 pick though, since he's averaging almost 9 boards at the 3 spot and he looks pretty physically built and has got a j. what you think of terrence jones?
@rekehavoc13 I wouldnt know.....gettin those boards in college just means hes more athletic than everyone, wouldnt put much stock into it in the NBA. But if he can play D and become a scorer yeah hes a top 5....I think this draft is VERY deep at SF.......If you need a SF this is the draft to get one. But I would also say this draft is pretty perdestrian at PG.....Thats why its either Kyrie or nobody for us. We might as well keep Mo if we dont get Kyrie
@younghoush i pretty much feel the same way abou the SF position. that's why i want my team to lose, haha. i don't think casspi as a starter is gonna cut it in this league. and pretty much everyone here thinks the biggest hole is at the SF spot. Kyrie would be pretty nice too, because honestly, i think tyreke is too ball dominant. he almost does nothing without the ball, and getting a real point would allow him to explore other parts of the game and make him potentially a better scorer
@younghoush yeah i know where you comin from homie but i still just seeing cavs taking 1st because he is the real deal yo i think he reminds me of a young KG / Lebron / Melo
@torontoraps8 I hope so. I wouldn't mind if the Raptors lost all of their games the rest of the way this season. As long as the Raps get Perry Jones, I'm happy. Then they get Caron Butler as a Free Agent, they'll be back in business.
Okay this dude has "potential", but they have said that about a lot of raw players before (like Kwame Brown). He is only averaging 13 points a game and 7 rebounds and is shooting about 13 percent from the 3 pt line (although he is shooting 57 percent fg wise). It would be nice to see him stay in college for a bit so that he can develop more. Still though, I guess you gotta draft him if hes out there. Its hard to tell though with one and done's.
@87mrbojangles see this is what i'm talkin right here. the league thrived the hardest when it was filled with 3 and 4 year players with the occasional kenny anderson, marbury, kg and lebron coming in at an unregular pace. and yeah you're right you gotta take him, if he does enter the draft.
I hate when guys get played out of position when they hit the league. Yes hes 6'11" but he's a pure small forward. That's the problem with the league they take players out of their natural position. He is comparable to T-Mac, hopefully the careers wont resemble each other tho.

i bet perry jones is pretty pissed that there`s so many hoggers on the team that won`t pass him the ball and pissed more when lace keeps shooting the ball even when he`s cold.
