  • @goturhjem2: selvfølgelig! Det er Feldman!

  • syret

  • @MusicaRicercata: Yes this particular piece it's quite loud at the beginning but if you "add" the beginning to the many "empty" places in this quite long piece it's not that loud anymore. "Fl&Orch" or even "Ob&Orch." is "louder" than "Vl/Orch."

It seems to me, that Feldmans oeuvre is more louder / harsher than some people want it to be...

  • A little loud for Feldman, isn't it?

  • Wow, after Toovey 's manic little paradise this music feels like being in the cosmos where there is no sure footing or real rest. it is not anxiety or dread but it is not abstract quietness. Maybe it is. there is no message just being here. Feldman is taking over my world. Amazing .how is it done ? amazing .Goes deeper than anything with a lotta listens . THIS IS how a Rothko sounds!

  • I would really, really like to hear the whole 65 minute version

  • @masterofpaint

    ditto

  • where do you find a recorded version of this piece? who performed this?

  • performers are in the description -- this is an unpublished radio broadcast i found.

there's a commercial recording (the only one, i think) with isabelle faust on col legno's "musica viva" series.
