I think the reason most people like it is because there aren't that many videos that choreograph specific scenes in GunZ to match with special effects. Most GunZ videos that incorporate After Effects or other programs are used for frag videos instead.

There are tons of things that need improving: lighting, placement editing, proper effects, etc, but this video is still an experiment.

i have choreographed fight scenes with special effects. I also make movies that *has* a storyline and instead of 9 minute video, mine has different parts to make up for 1 hour+ and not 9 minute. lawls

They liked it because it's somewhat "unique", from what you see in other edited videos. The effects used in other videos are only "on screen," while this video here incorporates movement, camera angles, and sound all into one. If you don't like it, it's your opinion, not others. I would like to see you do something better, and get as much appeal as Njashdw has gotten for this video.

I'd say the 9 hours were worth it. I can edit out a certain object in a clip in less than 10 minutes, compared to the hours I've spent on previous experiments.

you record your video in this resolution 1280X720 you must set this resolution in your game on gunz you must go to settings.Xml i think and there you will see

The game was originally recorded with 800x600, but I reduced the clips to 640x480. After I finished editing, I exported it as 1280x720.

It's the video resolution that supposedly allows HD quality. Upload the video at a resolution like 1280x1024 or higher.

Yup. First I edited out the half-steps in the background, then I cut out the slashing animation, finally I pasted that over the blocking animation.

I'm not too sure myself. It could be that I uploaded this video as 1280x720.

I used the program Adobe After Effects, a "photoshop" version for videos. More effective than Vegas in my opinion.

A friend of mine is playing the girl, and I'm playing the guy.

I had to CUT out the slashing animation, to where I can loop it, as shown in the original footage. Then, I had to cut out the half-steps in the blocking segment. Finally, I had to add in the looping slash clip. All of that took me 4 hours... maybe more.
