Notorious B.I.G. is probably the most horrifying stand in the whole series. the heroes CAN'T destroy it. all they can do is dump it in the sea, and it's mentioned every now and then that ships near where they dumped it disappear.
Hopefully it was erased from existance after part 6.
@dude10131 They're called "Stands". They're essentially psychic powers in a physical form. The author didn't want to draw psychic abilities as generic special effects and stuff so he came up with Stands.
No... actually the names related to music appeared since the beggining of the manga.
JoJo is named after the lyrics of Get Back from the Beatles, Dio is a reference to Ronnie James Dio (RIP), Speedwagon is the name of a band.
In the 3rd arc he decided to name stands according to tarot cards, egyptian gods and also music. (Vanilla Ice's stand "Cream" is not only a joke name, Cream was the name of band where Eric Clapton played)
Then he used more music names and also names of fashion designers.
not intelligent at all. BIG is an auto-stand that activate after it's master has been killed and attack on instinct the fastest moving thing it can detect.
I played a preview copy of a Jo Jo game for PS2 many years ago and LOVED it!
It looked just like this one, but I thought it was translated into English. I know the one I played was cancelled in the US and PAL territories - was there an English language version of a Gio Gio game ever released? It's the only thing keeping from importing it.
There not really kids...well Giorno is only 15, but there a mafia group on a mission to deliver Trish(the girl in this video) to her father, the boss of the mafia group that they are trying to conquer "Passione." Also these stands are some of the most broken ones in the series(GER and Purple Haze).
That's why they took care of Purple Haze HAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH~sorry.
...But seriously, yeah. I went through this story because it was obligatory. I wanted to. But the final battle is one of the most bizzare things I've ever seen....well, no, this comes second behind stone ocean....come to think of it, I really wasn't feeling either ending.
You have to fight without running, and watch for when his arms stop moving, because that means he's about to do an attack. Just use your Stand to block it.
This is weird. Some names from the series are taken from famous musicians. There's Vanilla Ice, Dio (To me it sounds like Devo), White Album (Beatles album), and now this monster thing.
There's also Rubber Soul(Beatle's album), Vanilla Ice(Rapper), Midler(Bette Midler), Hol Horse(Full Force), Oingo and Boingo(Oingo Boingo), Iggy(Iggy Pop) and MANY others.
almost every character and stand is named after a musician especially in part 3 but in all the parts atleast 75 percent of the characters are named after musicians

Off the top of my mind: JoJo, Bonham, Plant, Page, Jones, the Zeppeli(e) family, Dio (R.J.Dio), "Dire" & "Straits", "Tom Petty", Santana, "AC/DC", Cars, "Wham", Vanilla Ice, Terence Trent D'Arby, Crazy Diamond, Red Hot Chili Pepper, White Album, Sex Pistols, Sticky Fingers, Aerosmith, Spice Girl, Purple Haze, Moody Blues, Notorious B.I.G., Oasis, Green Day, Foo Fighters, Manhattan Transfer, Whitesnake, Weather Report ..and many more!

Using Notorious BIG as a name in JJBA is nothing surprising, especially in comparison with Vanilla Ice from the 3rd series.
