What is this play about? I know the title comes from a "crime" a student commits when he runs up the "down staircase"....but is this a comedy or drama? How long is it? I'd love to know the storyline...I can't tell if it's like "Dangerous Minds" or "Freedom Writers." Thanks!

It's a Dramatic Comedy. Our production of it took about 1 hr and 45 minutes. It has a pretty good storyline. It's really obvious that this is done by a middle school. The set is great but the acting and memorization isn't the best.
