  • It would all fit much better together if you had not added modern swedish music to it.

a traditional norwegian lokk would be much better for the landscape, and much older

  • @ulvebonden you should check up Garmarna. They ARE a Swedish folk/medival band in tradition and inspiration from Hedningarna.

  • ITS GREEK AND IT SAYS LORD SAVE US...kyrie eleison...

  • @mitsmitsouni you're right. we Georgians also use these expression in our religious songs

  • @maka78100 it's Greek

  • I neither know european history nor speak german but i love her voice and that's enough.

  • @verow7 ummm, that's not German, it's Greek. And this band is from Sweden anyways :)

  • @ilduri ok i don't care.. i just like the song that's it :) i know they r from sweden but thanks anyway.

  • This song almost made me a Christian again.

  • it is a norwegian landscape !!

  • This man is sitting on the tongue of God

  • @hansspurv Sweden was actually not forcebly christianized. People chose repentence not under the threat of the sword at their necks! And it abolished such things as human sacrifice to old norse gods! Even if people have used religions in in different forms to commit acts of violence throughout history, this is not at all accepted in true christian faith! And Sweden took a big step forward to a more civilized society by changing to christianity. Despite the exotic asa imagery on film!

  • @SireGrailknight Wow I agree with you

    *randomly enters the conversation

    But really I do.

  • @SireGrailknight Wow I agree with you!

    *randomly enters the conversation

    But yes, I do.

I can apply the same to my country, Russia. Some people mistake the beauty of history and culture with some more extreme and sometimes quite meaningless things.

  • You got a point

  • Its wierd to se people talk about, how they like the old north european mythologies. Forgetting that they involved human and animals sacrifices, even ritual rape. And lets not forget blood fighst. At least the christiasn removed those barbaric actes.

  • @hansspurv So lets talk about christians torturing one another in order to find some witches, seven crusades, one only recruited out of children, most of them dying just half way to Jerusalem. Not to forget about democracy and technical/medicinical inventions that came up in the ancient world and were lost because they were so barbaric. Not to mention the unequality of men and women.

I'm getting realy upset every time I imagine how far developed wo could have been, if there had not been a church

  • @EmonTyrgar Sorry for the very late reply. I am not a christian so i am not going to defend it. But you seem not to know that there where teknological developments in the islamic world, not the mention the renaissance and after that when people where more christian today. The wichburnings where not startet by the christians but are and ancient european tradition. The crusades where a catholic invention not a protestan nor orthodox nor coptic. Women where the property of men by the greeks

  • @EmonTyrgar the romans and greeks held slaves. The roman waged endless wars, to enlarge their empire. In viking Scandinavia, a man could be unfaitfull to his wife, but not vice versa.

  • @hansspurv I did not wan't to say the ancient nordic culture was not barbaric, but that this 'civilized cristians' did quite a lot of barbaric acts aswell. I was refering to your line in order to show up that cristians indeed ended bloody rituals just to replace them by their own barbaric methods. Even if the catholic curch contains not all cristians it hold the greatest effect on the population's minds for at least two centurys. So they at least have to take some responsibility for stagnation.

  • @EmonTyrgar

Medieval times in fact were no SUCH big stagnation. That's an invention of humanists that were disgusted by the horror going on to that times. But lets look at this age. Merchants like the Fuggers significantly developed trade. First industrial companies developed. Work was splitted into different steps for specialized companies. Even monks and the church did have interest in science. There are so much we have now that has it's source in medieval times.

  • @EmonTyrgar

If you take a closer look, you will see, that even jurisdiction developed. Though there were inhuman methods, those were not automatically applied. A judge could only sentence smbdy if he voluntarily admitted (after, not while torture). But it was the medieval which made it possible to defend yourself. The murdering of 60 000 "witches" and people accused of being one fell in post medieval times. The medieval Europe was more sophisticated than Iran or Saudi Arabia are today.

  • @GilbMLRS but medieval Europe was long behinde then muslim world. And the crusaders was very much like Islamist terrorists nowdays. And without the muslims, we wouldn't have this good knowlade about the Greece civilisation.

  • @andjack And people like you would probably know how to spell.

  • @moOswe :) No other argument?

Cool, then I must have the best arguments and you have none left about the subject. :)

  • @andjack It wasent an argument, it was a diss. A peck on the nose if you will.

  • @moOswe which doesn't change the fact that you have nothing to add. You loose.

  • @andjack But Muslim world remains in medieval times until today since 600 years. Also it isnt true that european medieval was only a downtime. Many important inventions were made, universities rose up, Gutenberg invented the book printing, foundations of salesmanship and accounting were made in medieval Europe. It was in the 18th century that medieval became a "dark evil time" through modern philosophy and humanism. Medieval was demonised by the spirit of the time and it holds on.

  • @GilbMLRS no, they don't. If anything, some of the muslim priests are back 100-150 years, like many christian priests. Like killing doctors because they have performed legal abortions.

Yes, and same can be said about muslims. You know, most muslims are not even arabs.

So, that crusaiders eating humans during the first crusaid wasn't evil?

It was during the medieval times the Italians refused to use arabic numbers, because they didn't trust using zero and negative numbers.

  • @EmonTyrgar How you say "How far we could have been, if there had not been a church" ;) I agree. The church and its leaders destroyed many developements of the "heaths", but this never had been the intention of Jesus Christ. It´s not a question of in which God you believe, more which religious institution/organisation you follow. So in my opinion we should not argue about which religion is the best or has done the worst things, but spread respect and love instead and better share our "wisdom" :D

  • @TheElienMusic I totally agree with this. In my opinion those terms (love and respect) should be not only be preached but lived. And it could do with some more tolerance concerning other religions and cultures aswell. Might sound utopic but not the less worthwhile

  • dont do it...think about,and come bag...in the pub......^^

    phantastik music........bei OOOODIN !!! jeeah !!!

  • youtuberepeat . com INSTANTLY :D

  • @MrLousyTube Ooooooooooh! I am totaly with u. I am deist but.. I love norse mythology and I choose Odin, Thor and Frej and others of Asgard ;D

  • @MrLousyTube you don't have to be german for those. all religions before monotheism believed in nature, had various gods and respected the world as it is. monotheism is one of the force which cut our connection with the nature, the second one is the capitalist modernity.

  • @aporia82 I can´t really agree with your statement. You say they believed in nature, but what is nature? Isn´t it the work/creation of God(s) and stands as a symbol for him and his Power (or plural if you want)? I believe there is only one God, who unites everything in himself, cause every God and Godess of the "old" religions just there for his/her special scope of duties, so in the end you don´t have many different Gods and Godesses, but you have the ONE God,

  • call him howe you want (mother nature),spread him into your Gods, but in the end its just one God, who stands for all. don´t compare monotheism to capitalism, if you think there are many individual gods, aren´t they the ones to fight each other, to oppress and gain power? problem with monoth. is, there are fantatics & guys, who want more power so the tell the people "we have the only way to god, follow us" but there is just ONE God loving evry human, equal where he comes from or how he calls him

  • what does the song mean? the few

    words that is

  • Kyrie eleison (3X) ("Lord have mercy")

Christe eleison (3X) ("Christ have mercy")

...Kyrie eleison (3X) ("Lord have mercy")

  • @ostbagen That's latin actually, not swedish...

  • @EdwinMarc Yes, I know. In fact it's Medieval Latin, not to be mistaken with classic Latin. Not even lady Christian mystics are perfect.

  • @ostbagen Kyrie means Domine in Greek...Roman Catholics took it from Eastern Church....Greek is everywhere my friend.

  • @Jeffanos Ne, mia amiko, Esperanto estas ĉio.

  • @ostbagen Not to mention Eleyson which means give mercy in Greek....

  • @EdwinMarc You moron it's Greek

  • @sinbadbuddha Sorry. No reason to call me a moron though....

  • @sinbadbuddha well, if we wan't to be really anal about it, it's technically Greek transcribed into Latin. If it were straight Greek it would be spelled κυριη. (The rest of the mass was in Latin too).

  • @MrLousyTube we are brothers under wotans guidance

  • this song is so beautiful, i sit here and cry...

  • @Gleichtritt:

  • Und wo kommt Mutter Natur her?

  • oh ¡¡¡¡

    nice.

    Thanks

  • Hallelulija

  • @Catachan1brainleaf Nah it is not photoshop ! that is a famous place in Norway. Looks to good to be true but it is true :D

  • Fantastisk sång! Låter som en gregoriansk hymn. Bilden måste vara tagen i Norge, vårt arma men vackra grannland! :)

  • BerSerKerOu, I would have thought the point was that this way, you can hear it *without* going to church.

  • thats greek...kyrie eleison xriste eleison...lol whatever...if i want 2 hear that i can go 2 church...

  • mmh im atheist but... if i had to choose... Odin and the gods of Asgard would be my preferreds =)

  • well im happy that you found you're way ;) i must say that you're right about nature telling us actually everything we need. and a big part of my way goes also through the nature religions, but i see a lot of philosophy from other religions to which i find verry good to. its only up to mankind if they follow it or not. often its not the religion which is good or bad, but each person individual. :) but i think its cool you found you're way. blessed be. )O(

  • i dont thinkit does realy matter to which god or gods you pray :) if you live in respect and love to you're enviroment its all ok in my opinion. its fun to see all people discus this kinda stuff on youtube while all theyre religions say to live in love and not to harm others. :/ i dont see the point of fighting eachother. woulndt it be cool if we all would listen at eachother? even if you think they're wrong. everyone has just another vision of reality. and tell me? what is the perfect truth?

  • one wrong move and that guy is a pancake.

  • @XIPM3 hahahahaahahahaha!

  • lol greek lyrics :P

  • her voice is so beautiful. the picture is stunning.

  • European people are getting older and dying, without having children. Save the whales!! It's their mantra. Why not saving the Italians, Germans, French, Spanish, for a change? They are awash with money, but have abandoned Our Lord Jesus.

Europe is going to die not with a bang, but with a whimper.

  • This is a beautiful song. When I first heard it, it didn't really do anything for me, but I listened to it again; and I started hearing the different ways she changed the texture of her voice, the rhythm alterations, and how this made subtle changes in the emotion/ambiance of the song... I found I really did like this song quite a lot.

The picture is stunning, and an interesting touch as it goes well with the slight reverberation in the song.

    Five Stars, :)

  • Well, the christians had Europe under their reign for close to a thousand years now, maybe it is time for something new?

But what you say is far from correct. Christian politics are practised in nearly every country in Europe, for example in Germany the ruling party is called "CDU" (Christian Democratic Union). Rest assured, Christianity is far from dead.

What you said about the Swedes was even more incorrect, and quite insulting by the way.

One could get the impression that you're a moron ...

  • Take me to one of those mountain tops in the far away north ! I want to feel alive ! something is missing! My nordic ancestors are calling !

  • does anyone know where this picture was taken????!!!!

  • In those days Orthodox and Catholics were one body. What a power we were..

  • all religions allways was the same....: lies.

  • Sorry for you

  • @gaahlnacho I believe in the God whose name is The Truth. How can the truth be a lie?

  • What split the Orthodox and Catholics was politics and greed. Very sad and unfortunate. I am orthodox and wish that never happened. One day we will have that power again...

  • Yeah, we must get together again, I agree and a lot of my friends, too. I am Catholic but want to connect all Christians in the Unam Apostolicam Eclesiam! :-)

    Tanks for your opinion!

  • Yeah, we must be together again!

    Amen! :-)

  • @azrzemodit truth you speak. Now we catholics represent what's left of the true Church... the orthodox have given up fighting. I live in a 90% orthodox country but I am catholic, for I am part of the historic German minority. The country's name is Romania. And every day I see what the orthodox do... poor people. We should all reunite!

  • @EdwinMarc Church of Sweden is Gods true church. People not baptised in it will burn. It's hard I know, but you still have time to repent and learn Swedish, Gods language.

  • @ostbagen Let's not exagerate! Jesus spoke Aramaic, and there is no doubt God knows all languages: He is the one to split them at Babel. And yes, I would like to speak Swedish, I do enjoy Swedish culture!

  • @EdwinMarc You can not prove that Metatron didn't came to earth and told me that.

  • @EdwinMarc Who is talking about Jesus, I'm talking about God, Angels and other celestial beings.

  • Kyrie Eleison means Lord have mercy ... Christi Eleison is Christ have mercy

  • Kyrie

    Lord

    Lord have mercy

    Christ have mercy

    Lord have mercy

    Lord have mercy

  • This is so beautiful that it has moved me to tears. Thank you so much for posting.

  • it means, 'herr erhöre uns', lord, losten to us!, or like that

  • Kyrie Eleison means Lord have mercy? It's so beautiful and different from other church songs!

  • That picture is taken in Norway, and the Music is a old Swedishfolklore, dont se the connection at all haha XD

  • so? you want a clap for that? its a random picture...

  • NO CONECTION? the conection is clear.

we are nordic countries devided by imperialist wars.

the borders are spychological. WE ARE ONE!

  • Maybe you are..... But if I where you I do not want union beetwen Sweden and Norway...... More countries-Less chance to tyrany in both of them... If at the world be only one goverment it will be very small chance to evade a global tyrany. And I think that global tyrany is even worse than global war....

  • norway and sweden were once the same country

  • @joonte1010 yeah really its hard to see any connection.. one is sweden and the other one is norway, two apart countries in each different edges of the earth, completely different culture, climate, language and history. I curse the one who put such an irrelevant picture.

  • @Reatbuster HAHAHAHAHAHAH !

  • @joonte1010 Kinda stupid statement I have to say. Norway used to be Swedish territory. Hows that for a connection? :P

  • Kyrie eleison

The wind blows hard against this mountain side, across the sea into my soul

It reaches into where I cannot hide, setting my feet upon the road

My heart is old, it holds my memories, my body burns a gemlike flame

Somewhere between the soul and soft machine, is where I find myself again

  • Chorus:

Kyrie eleison, down the road that I must travel

Kyrie eleison, through the darkness of the night

Kyrie eleison, where Im going will you follow

Kyrie eleison, on a highway in the light

When I was young I thought of growing old, of what my life would mean to me

Would I have followed down my chosen road, or only wished what I could be

  • I must know where that picture was taken!

  • yes

  • ah? ajaj

  • mmh.. i will delete it if is a religious song =S

  • don't delete it. but is religious. Kyrie Eleison means Lord have mercy.

  • Actually, it means "Lord have mercy". Traditionally represented in the first movement of the Latin mass...the phrase appears in Christian worship as early as the second century AD (and in certain forms predating Christ).

  • @chaplainblake It is a part not only of the Latin mass

  • Kyrie eleison means "Good have mercy" in Greek...

It's interesting to hear this version, but try to find an original chant sang by Greek monks. It's far more better!

  • It's greek used in both Catolic church and Orthodox church

  • Its greek dude =)

  • Cool!
