While you may feel free to consider any leader (political or otherwise) who shows respect to a foreign leader that you do not personally dislike to be an example of America-hating behavior, any realist will be able to consider that in most cases such respect served the national interest.

Saudi Arabia has been a source of oil and a location for US military facilities for years and being nice to China was a way to undermine the USSR.

Three quarters through the movie "Patton" portraying George S. Patton, his troops meet up with the military of Russia.
