Would you guys stop bashing American skyscrapers... seriously... You wouldn't know a decent skyscraper if one fell on you. ANYWAY, now that that's settled... Congrats on the super-tall London, it looks nice.
For intelligent construction take a look at SUperPlan which intelligently uses the class of object and their physical positions to automatically generate a fully costed and scheduled plan for review in a matter of seconds no spending HOURS to end up with what is no more than a pretty picture.. forget 4D start 5D sketching now.
CNN, an American news company had to tell me about this building. I have never been told about it being built, nor that it will be the tallest building in western europe. And I am from England!!!
I travel via London Bridge station every day and can vouch for the fact that the core is around the 20th floor. The steelwork does not appear to be going up as fast as the simulation - but the core is rising at a truly amazing pace (as of Friday, the core was higher than the tower cranes - which I suspect will be heightened this weekend).
As an engineering project it is truly amazing to watch.
lol how can you say that the core is at floor 20 already with the rest of the building folowing fast. you need to do some reserch my friend before making stupid coments like that.
@TonigolLicksPomBalls As of today the core is at floor 47 and the steel work at 28. The core is due to top out by the end of this year and the steel work next year sometime. The cladding is doing very well and the core for the backpack is complete. The steel work for the backpack is also rising.

@TonigolLicksPomBalls So just over 200 metres above ground level means it won't get built?

2010 is going to be a great year for skyscraper construction in the UK. 2009 has been good though.

Nice, it's nice to see a timeline on things as it rises. Great simulation.
