The alto is an Eb instrument and the guitar is a C instrument like a piano. His E and her E are two totally different notes. If they want tune the instruments to each other, he should play his C and she should play her Eb (D#).

@toastandjam1967 besides the other guitarman1975 giving you a wrong answer, an alto sax transposes a major 6th up...it is an Eb instrument, which means when guitar plays Eb, saxophone sounds a C. His G on guitar is an E on saxophone....

That was pretty cool!!! I thought she did a great job!!! :-D You know, one name came to mind that I thought of when I saw Miranda playing the saxophone - Dan Seals!!! And who knows? Maybe with a little more practice, she might wail on the sax at every show of hers like Dan did. :-)
