I would expect nothing more in a city like NYC..no offense meant. I wasn't even aware you legally had to have a bell..I'm surprised the unicyclist didn't get ticketed for also not having a front and back light! How ludicrous.
geez! NYC is still full of goofy liberal types who champion weird causes like...bike riding! wheeeee! yes the cops have better things to do, but have to follow orders...bikes have to follow traffic rules like cars...facts!
So the cops should do those "better things to do", right? By your admission. B/c they could stop things like rape/theft/assault/robbery and murder, right? No. It's much easier to look like you're working and instilling fear to the fragile and vlnerable than to actually do what you get paid to do.
