Fun with "Mommie Dearest," A Voice-Over

does anyone know where is this movie redone by two voice actors and it was really funny? It seems they deleted that spoof. I remember one of the scenes is Joan Crawford talking to her boyfriend about wanting to have children and he would say "I feel the crazy coming on".

I've watched this movie once all the way through, and that was to be the last time watching it all the way through. In fact Faye Dunaway refused her Oscar that she won knowing she would never treat her son like that.

In her quote "I really hate talking about "Mommie Dearest!" It is like an obsession with people! Why do people need to focus so much on one film I made over 20 years ago? It was not a great time in my life and the film was not an experience I want to think about. Period!"

Also saw the movie in '81. Our reaction was one of a complete lack of emotion. We were non-plussed.

We didn't know what to make of it. Is it a drama, a comedy, an action picture?

This is hilarious! I love the voiceover! Speaking of the movie itself, it's wierd that even though this movie allegedly damaged Faye's career, its the movie for which she is most widely remembered. And it's become a classic, yes, a high camp classic, but a classic nevertheless that has given rise to thousands of jokes and reinactments.

I do recall seeing this film in late 1981 when it was released in theaters. The only explanation I have of the reaction in the theater was that people must have been high, because they laughed and laughed at this film as though it were "Caddyshack." I never could understand it, because Faye Dunaway did a fantastic job.
