  • really, he's still playing .... rock-n-roll never dies ..... he left his mark here for eternity'...when i listen ...is as if he is still playing.....

  • Had to liesten again....

  • il massimo del blues bianco per chi ne capisce. grazie mike

  • Most blues guitarists are melodic OR mean. Mike is both all at once.

  • I remember Hearing This For the First Time, and It Just Never Seazes To Give Me That Bang,Everytime I hear Something New in this Song, and Thats Because This Man Was a Guitar GOD!!!!!!!!!!He Has Left His Mark on The World Of Blues,Rock and Roll, and World music,Inspiring ENTIRE GENERATIONS.

    RIP Mike Bloomfield

  • Bloomfield had the "tone".- knew the blues. I saw him i n Vancouver in the early 70's. Another that fell to to soon. Check out when Carlos replaces him in the live super session blues stuff,. Carlos plays the blues.

  • A true one-of-a-kind. It's so sad that his life was cut short. I often try to imagine what he would be playing today if he had survived. I'm 62 and grew up in the bay area so I got to see him in his heyday. What a talent.

  • Just laying back with my eyes closed. My brain is on fire!!!

  • so great song. Amazing. Super Session.

  • Michael at his best...

  • to whoever said"loser river p;heonix" bloomfield and p;heonix did amazing things to celebrate and ap;preciate. you on the other hand havent. from me and all the other junkies out there, step; off and go fuck yourself asshole.

  • @sylicone221: U R an idiot!

  • Holy fuck.....good blues.

  • Bloomfield was the best blues guitar player who ever lived, simple as that. No one comes even close.

  • @10mordan worm food hehheee

  • @10mordan worms enjoy

  • put Bloomfield in the ock-n-roll hall of fame .. he's up for it now... vote for him.

  • @clking61 Amen to that. He single handedly invented blues-rock guitar. It's way past time he was in the Hall.

  • @clking61 wtf? he was a fucking junkie! didnt he od similar to loser river phoenix

  • @sylicone221 Still gifted... you probably can't relate.

  • @meatpuppetsurf hes worm food heheeee...fucking loser junkie! enjoy worms!~

  • holy shit ... amazing how have i never heard of this?

  • good and greats music

  • Don't forget that one little intangible ingredient...unique talent.

  • @moonlightsea8

A talent that all of us possess. If the work is done and the honesty is there...people react.

  • super session, what a great blues album, maybe the best there is..

  • Touched by the Gods....that's a good way to put it. There were many guitarists who were considered great but not "touched by the Gods". Page, Morse, Blackmore, etc. A few however, were. Clapton, Hendrix, Winter, Bloomfield. All untouchable...

  • @moonlightsea8

Being "touched by the Gods" is such a misleading statement. Like any of those players were playing this way out of the gate. If "touched by the Gods" means "Put in a ton of fucking work and shows" than yeah....they were "touched by the Gods". The only difference between the greats and the not so greats is the greats have two things always happening: 1.) A relentless pursuit of who they are...and are not afraid to voice it and 2) they always have a guitar in their hands.Thats it

  • @Sn4pDr4gon Your are 100% correct.

  • After The Electric Flag went to shit, kooper just called mike up one day and said, "hey wanna jam?" This was on the fly and they just jammed at Kooper rented studio house. Amazing. Mike was very paranoid that day as he thought he had gangrene an ingrown toe, note the picture his right big toe. Mike even called it a scam of a record. love how he hated the spotlight

  • Mike... at his best was the best. But he wasn't always at his best. Mike put out some pretty crappy stuff when he was all f*cked-up on drugs.

  • I play blues. For 40 years I have failed to reproduce Bloomfield's style. Touched by the gods.

  • damn He was Good!

  • Why was this not on original SS LP? fuck this is brilliant!

  • The First concert I went to was in the mid-'60's at Town Hall in New York it was the Paul Butterfield Band with Mike Bloomfield and Elvin Bishop. I can only vagually remember much but I do remember the screaming guitar litteraly screaming a Tele through a Twin. Yes the drugs took him and its a tragedy that so few of the younger generations are familiar with his genius.

  • awesome

  • there is a biography of mike made up of quotes of all the people that new him It is a wonderful look into this sweet intelligent master of blues guitar

  • WHERE did this recording come from? Maybe an outtake from Super Session? Thanks, cosmos!

  • Great player, too bad about the drugs though. Bad way to go out.

  • Mike was the best guitarist I ever saw (his tone appealed to me the most!). I saw him with Roger Troy on vocals around 74, and also at Winterland, SF. 30 years gone and his wonderful presence is missed deeply. Please see this awesome page:

  • Bloomers!!!! You left way too young..

  • this is .....my sound :-)

  • bloomy is the best for my $.

hard to believe he doesn't get talked about more when the subject of great guitarists comes up

  • where did u get this...i don't remember this from SS....

    sounds like albert's shuffle?

  • @3117ss This is one of the bonus tracks on the 2003 CD.

  • This is Blues

  • Is this practice music for "Albert's Shuffle?" Whatever, it's great!!!

  • un fenomeno para esa y todas las epocas,SIMPLEMENTE MUSICA de la buena

  • Every phrase a winner

  • bloomfield is one of those few guitarists who can just rip a solo over entire songs and still manage to keep the tune damn interesting to listen to. Just wish he had of lasted longer and put out more stuff.

  • Heaven must be like this ... Al and Mike playing eaternally ....

  • @MrPicroute

Bloomfield was jewish, do they believe in heaven?

  • @DeltaDregs You would think yids believe in heaven the way bloomfield plays.

  • @MrPicroute ..but yeah, great!!!

  • Believe it or not I bought this vinyl back in 1969 or 1970 and I still have it! Gathering dust until today when I came across this song on Youtube. Wow, brings back memories. Those were the days my friends!

  • Yeah, cause we was young and restless then and had music like this to calm us down!

  • Ahhhh, the sweet twang of Mike on his Les Paul................wonderful stuff.

  • This is amazing! I wish people would study his style and keep it going forever. There's nothing like it anywhere or anytime. I will be doing my part.

  • I Agree,Same Here!Peace!!

  • Smokin Hot!!!!!!!!May The Sounds and Spirit of This Great Legend Live on Forever!!!!!!!
