  • wow! is your dad still around?

  • I thank you Sharon, I practice my violin every day and when I am up to scratch I will publish on You tube. My Dad is called Jim also but unfortunately he is in a care home and does not have the energy your Dad displays and he is 12 years his junior. Keep the music coming it is so enjoyable to listen to, many thanks.

  • Thank you Exrancher! Yes, as a matter of fact I just flew home yesterday after being out with mother and dad for 10 days. We had a wonderful time...did a medley of old time gospel instrumentals with dad playing the fiddle...he is now 94 and still doing fantastic! I need to do a little editing on the video and then will post it. Thanks again! Sharon

  • I really like this tune and the way it is played. He plays the violin so well, I am learning by watching his performance. Is the gentleman still with us?

  • "Ok Dad" is more than just ok..."ok Dad" is one heck of a guitar picker, and I know that is only one of his talents. I want to thank you for this amazing video...there's still hope for me to pick something..lol..best wishes to you and "ok dad"..he sure is...*ron

  • LOL...thanks so much for the comment. You still have your Dad too....that is wonderful. Does he live close to you. I'm in NM and Dad AR so the only time we video is when I make a trip out there, but will certainly do somemore then. Do you play any instruments? Take Care!

  • I love the way some of your posting start, "O.K. Dad . . ." The guitar shows off more of his agility due to the longer neck than the fiddle, and picking instead of bowing. Great stuff. That's going to be me in 40 years. I wonder if I'm going to have that George Washington stone-faced look, too. My dad, 94, does, too. Thank you, regards to your dad, and more, please.
