  • @matinator i just do it as a reflex not because of hiding the sound of my paddle... what makes you think that its to hide the sounds ?

  • you played the same point twice - the first one and the one starting at 0:49 :)

  • 1:24 ò_ò

  • this is where the smurfs play table tennis. hahah

  • I'm curious about how these guys end up as pro table tennis players. Do they actually have coaching for this? lol...

  • I'd have to go back and find a results booklet, or my original videos - I think it was 4-2 to William, if I recall correctly

  • Does anyone know the final score?

  • I thought I was good at ping pong....guess not :' (

  • The first point is the same as the one at 0:48... But so what ? I will enjoy the game twice. xD

  • dude got owned

  • y is everything blue

  • @12agambi just one of those quirks - blue floor, blue table, blue background netting, blue flags, and both players wearing blue shirts - go figure

  • @G309 i think its also so you can see the ball beter or somethin...

  • @G309 Blue balls?

  • @yinyangthang Ouch! My eyes are watering...

  • @12agambi cos we are true blue aussies

  • @12agambi it also helps to see the ball when your background is some dark color

  • 1:17 DOBRZE!

  • i didnt know ping pong was this hard lol

  • this is wierd- the ball almost seems like elastically flying of the bat, as through hit by a rubber band!! this match is amazing!!!

  • hmm, this was a hard match to follow by watching the highlights. Knowing the score would have been nice. Great video other than that. Good quality and some good shots from both players.

  • Wtf the first rally was repeated at 50 second to one minute

  • he said in 1.17 "Dobře!!" :-)) Czech guy probably

  • any of these play internaationaly ?

  • Sorry but, what is the point of the 'foot stomp' I see both players do right as they are serving?

  • @mekkabon might be late but they do that to "conceal" the sound of the racket hitting the ball.

like sidespin, backspin, topspin and others. players usually listen to the sound when it hits the ball, therefore, they can know what stroke they'll use to counter

  • @mekkabon You are confusing the opponent how much spin you put on your serve :)

  • @mekkabon its to hide how much "spin" or effect you are putting on the serve. the louder you hear the paddle hitting the ball the more spin there is. so to hide the amount of spin during the serve, you stomp.

  • @matinator it also makes the serves look cooler!.....hehe.

  • @matinator Also, it can be used for the player's body momentum while serving, or also for effects.

  • @mekkabon confusion?

  • @mekkabon

Just a serving action. Probably because of their actions, they need to lift their foot up as they're hitting it, thus it needs to return to the ground again. Fairly common quirk in TT players actually.

  • @mekkabon it can be used to hide the touch of the bat, spin

  • @mekkabon the correct reason for the foot stomp stems back to when players could use two rubbers of the same colour on their bats. When players started using combination bats (1 pimpled 1 smooth rubber) the only way opponents could tell which rubber the ball had been hit with was by listening. To disguise the sound players stamped their feet whilst serving. This of course is less effective (if at all) in the modern game due to the rule by which players must use 1 red and 1 black rubber.

  • @mekkabon body momentum is actually the best answer, player do it unconsciously because of the weight transfer they do when serving.

  • what a sweet sport :S

  • so, most of the video the guy with the beard wins the point but he lose in the end?

  • @toozydude2 It looked like he was losing a lot of points at the start....sort of made a comeback. Hard to tell from highlights who won but yea, pretty sure he lost in the end. Remember that those were the best points. There were probably a lot of crappier points that weren't shown. He looked a little more volatile in his approach than the other guy did.....

  • lol at the referee always had to

  • lol at the refs head

  • i dislike, cause i cant do that :/.

  • that must be one bored chairsman

    lol

  • ur the best man. LOVE YOUR BACKHAND !!!!

  • aaaaaaaaaa this is so boring

  • He has nice pink shoes

  • that chinese guy in the blue folding his arms is in the same position through the whole clip. He's probably thinking 'psh is that all Aussies have to offer'

  • how do you play doubles?

  • lol the two chinese guys in the back dont move at all

  • @MrBbbdbbbd THey actually move so fast that they went and bought a soda, drank it, recycled it and went back to the same pose before the next camera frame XD.

  • ddi some one at 1:15 yell bulls***

  • True Free energy devices exist,But the Oil companies want these technologies unknown to the masses,Get the blueprints for a real Magnet motor free enegy machine at LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM ,Big change is comming soon!

  • Well, if you have a great serve, why would u change it? Also, to return a spin serve, you have to course it with a better spin

  • they both do the same serve. wouldn't some variation help them?

  • How do you return a spin serve? Once I was playing around for fun and someone had a spin serve that kept on going off to the side when i hit it.

  • great match.

  • these guys are good

  • Loved the video. Thanks for posting!

  • Omg.. I never knew they played that Fast. DAAAMn. I wanna learn how to play like that.

  • what is the standard for this tournament? is it good layers? accordign to the game it dosent seem to be as good as the top players in the world...am i wrong? who is these guys anyway?

  • 1:16 Poland "dobrze"

  • I was waiting for the six spectators to start the wave.

  • if these guys ever reach the world tournament, their ass will be handed to them.

  • Banzei!(?) 1:16

    hahaha lol

  • this is the finals? theres nobody there! lol

  • Nice ping pong :P

  • 20 secs from the beginning are enaugh to see, that the black-haired dude will win. LOL the otherone is a wussie.

  • Banzei!(?) 1:16

  • @ywexe LOL!!!

  • simply no tactics, just hitting the ball where it came from =.= must a while just go for training and see who can hit the most balls back

  • it just means that their positioning isnt good enuf to place the ball somewhere else, so it's not like they dont have a tactic, just that they dont have the opportunity to at their level

  • It prevents hearing the contact of the ball to the rubber so its a bit more difficult to determine exactly how much spin has been applied

  • you show one klipp 2times lol!!

  • As I've said before:

That's right - on some of my highlight videos I've got all the points in a sequence during the match, then I pick a good one to show before the player credits. By that stage I usually can't be bothered going back to delete the video I copied.

  • why do they stomp their feet at each serve?

  • to disconcert the opponent.

(say what you want people, but that's the true)

  • to give power

  • 156 look at the SPIN!!! holy

  • it's actually not that hard.

  • go to my profile to see some amazing ping pong. =D

  • This sport is so freakin intense.

  • whats that loud sound when they serve?

  • It is their stomping foots, it will confuse you sometimes.

  • they are stomping on the ground i guess to mess the other player up

  • hitting the table

  • william henzell was in the olympics..... so can't have been that crap

  • some serves the winner performs seem to have hardly any spin and they look just sooo clumsy :D I just don't know how this guy gets so much spin, I've never seen anything like that before :D

  • Any1 knows whot rubbers the using?

  • why do they stamp when they serve??

  • maybe to try and put the other person off , i dno i was thinkin the same thing... ?

  • Generally, it's

    (1) to help hide the sound of the contact, makes it harder to know how much spin is on the ball

    (2) part of the effort in putting as much spin on as possible, when trying to snap everything as fast as possible

    (3) force of habit

  • one more, intimidation, the suddeness helps to try and take the opponent off guard

  • Yea but im sure at the level its not very intimidating. As least not nearly as intimidating that dude's grunt.

  • @G309 I used to think I was good till I ran on someone like you one day. I used to have a shot down on side, you hit right to his right , your left, on slams, cross corners another words. I developed what I called my broke arm shot, it looked like a nornal corner to corner slam, but I'd open up the face and hit it from my right straight down the same side to his left, damn it'd catch them anticipating and leaning the wrong way. I haven't played in decades, tables ain't common like pool is.

  • @nulapuctab They stamp to intimidate

  • @nulapuctab because the poeple are derived (sorry my english is not very well:()

  • @nulapuctab Probably as like a kind of distraction

  • @nulapuctab to distract his opponent

  • omfg!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Their good but in terms of proffesional players their pretty crap

  • william henzell (the blue guy) had 1-0 and many set points on wang liqin, hmm rethink!

  • @Pingpongkingen94 tbh i think you find that it was not 1-0 it was 2-1 to wang ligin and also he did not have many set points but wang liqin did

  • @proffesor98 stfu i'd like to see you play like that.

  • @proffesor98 ''In terms of proffesional players''? How can I single human say something like that? Proffesional doesn't only include Ma Long, Ma Lin, Wang Hao and Timo Boll. You got it all wrong, dude! ✔✔✔

  • @Topspinify agreed a professional is a person who engages in some art, sport, etc. for money, esp. as a means of livelihood, rather than as a hobby

  • cool vid! the speed at which they can play amazes me! the very first clip is repeated at 0:47 again.

  • crazy backhand wow

  • Nice match, the guy in blue has a strong backhand

  • What kind of final is this with 5 ppl? Soft sport

  • i cant here any english words

  • Why do they stomp?...

  • gerada is one of my favourites. pure class he is.

  • goo d game brahhh

  • good game- down under.

  • at 1:17 y dose he say badger or it sounds lyk it

  • No he said "danke" I think.

  • nah, i think hes saying a japanese word??

    jesse brickless says it too.

  • That's right - on some of my highlight videos I've got all the points in a sequence during the match, then I pick a good one to show before the player credits. By that stage I usually can't be bothered going back to delete the video I copied.

  • theres a point in it twice

  • @tabletennisperson I tsaw that there, too!

  • could you make a vid on how to play it and get good?

  • gangstaprocuctions getting "good" takes years of practise i've been playing six years and i am going to tasmania for the australian juniors im 13 now yeah so back to the subject.... i practise 3 times a week with extra training almost everyday at home but when i get to tassie i would most likely be defeated.

  • thanks. quite good standard. specially I liked their backhand.

  • ah stiga isnt that the German table tennis table?

  • thought kettler was german too?

  • yeah, I think that stiga make the best table tennis bats

  • Agreed with drammenbtkgutta - they do have a very good backhand each.

Sorry about deleting your post, but I prefer not to have bad language in the comments. Cheers.

  • i like to watch woman korea play...their backspin is awsome

  • For some players, it's a habit. Others do it to hide the noise of the contact - makes it harder to read the amount of spin on the serve.

  • why do they have to stamp their feet after the serve?

  • That is to hide the sound the serve. You can tell if the serve has spin by the noise it makes. Stamping you foot makes it hard to hear the sound of the spin.

  • amateur table tenis... hehe

  • dumb

  • \william henzell is ranked like 97. in thw world i had a hit with him when he came to my club (mornington) in this video you dont see his tomohawk serve which i like very much but i h8 his pendulum and reverse looks weird

  • one thing i wish i new during these table tennis matches, is the score of the game.

  • Repeating the same point?

  • They are good, but i can say China and Japan players are the best :)

  • GOOD BOI!!

  • tthis is insane

  • Yep, I wanted a real good point to start with, then I couldn't be bothered removing it from the rest of the video. Anyway, it's worth looking at twice!

  • yo put the same point in twice...

  • man.. i dont know his name.. but the guy with more hair has an awesome backhand ;D

his backhand ownz. just like andrei filimon's

  • good ol will henzel

  • The gentleman, with the baldie, he has a better technique than his opponent, everytime he attacks he receives the point. In my opinion he should a little to his BH attacking spree, he blocks offs to much, is FH is damaging, and he topspins somtimes to the wrong angles considering the footwork of the opponent.

  • will has an amazing backhand =O

  • i think that you are very good

  • @ all people who dont scream by playing table tennis!!!scream!it will pump you up and you will play much better!believe me ;)

  • did you play in the us opens against keinath or jorg rasskoff

  • Nope - I don't think either William or Simon did. Don't know the last Aussie who played in the US Open.

  • Chen Wexing Did you Play In the US opens In las Vegas Neveda

  • You might be thinking Austrians - like Werner Schlager. We are Australians - like William Henzell, kangaroos etc.

  • Don't say cho or you will look like a douchebag believe me, unless your chinese of course its like me saying vamos in tennis.

  • i just started playing and this is crazy

  • Chooooooooh!!!!!!!!!!

  • good job ;)
