Om mani padme hum.. (Derived from the Sanskrit, Devanagari ओं मणिपद्मे हूं, IAST oṃ maṇipadme hūṃ),mani meaning the jewel and Padma-the lotus. The six syllabled mantra of the bodhisattva of compassion, Avalokiteshvara (Tibetan Chenrezig, Chinese Guanyin).
