mw2 is in 2016, in cod 4, the mission all ghilied up and one shot one kill is set 15 years before the events in the main plotline, it says so in the cut scene, it also says it is 10 yrs after the chernobyl disaster, so that means that since the chernobyl disaster happened in 1986, in 1996 all ghillied up happens, and then 15 yrs after all ghillied up, it is 2011, and since modern warfare 2 is 5 yrs after 2011, it means it is 2016. And no, it cant be in the 80/90s, cuz red dot/holographs arent.
