For me, it's definitely harder on the Beeb. I think it may be because of the way the spirits speed up when Repton is still on the BBC Micro version, so the trick is not to stop I suppose.
The other thing about this level is I always found the section with the spirit trapped in just two squares rather unfair in the BBC Micro version. I could only free it without losing a life about 60% of the time. On the Archimedes and PC versions however I never found it a problem.
I solved the large rock puzzle by going across the top of it to the top left corner and then going diagonally down and right - your solution is very interesting.
Somehow Repton just doesn't seem right with modern graphics. BRING BACK MY BBC MICRO!!!

That's interesting; the collision detection is actually slightly more generous on the BBC Micro version, so I'm not sure why you found it harder.

That was in fact his solution originally, then he saw mine. It's modified slightly from what I did, but my route to the key is more or less the same
