@k4n31985 Hearns would break Floyd down. Remember, Hearns was also 6'1. How is little floyd gonna reach that. Floyd is more of a defensive fighter. He'd be a sitting duck for Hearns. Hearns had a wicked hook to the body, he could stun you with a jab, and his right would KO you. Floyd does not have enough offense to beat Hearns. Hearns would keep him at the proper distnace with those long arms, then bomb on him.. Remember: Tommy only had to hit you once if it was in the right place.

@csibond Would've been interesting. Chavez is tougher than Marquez but slower and not as good a defender. Also his hands are slower. I don't think he could counter Pac the way Marquez did. On the other hand if Chavez hit Pac, what would happen? Also at what weight class? Pac is better now not because of roids but because he now has a right hand better balance and is fighting closer to his best weight - jr. welter IMO. Early one-handed Pac maybe loses to Chavez.
@vamoalla9 if chavez hit pac? maybe the question really is if he ever hit pac clean enough to hurt him. i would think the speed will just overwhelm chavez which i think is just a bit faster version of margarito. and if ever pacquiao gets hit clean, i think he can handle it the way he handled the punches of the bigger guys at welter.

But also Chavez did have a better chin (in his prime) than Marquez. And I think prime Chavez vs prime Pacquiao in the right weight division would be a war, Hagler vs Hearns style, but longer lasting.

Is it because he is a more complete fighter now? I think part of the answer is that he is much faster than the bigger fighters he is fighting now. Curiosamente con esos ha tenido en 6 años más de los que JC Chávez enfrentó en sus últimos 10 años de su carrera (buenos BUENOS solo Tzyu y De La Hoya, Camacho estaba en las últimas y contra Whittaker apenas le pudieron arreglar la pelea a JC, Randall era un don nadie).

Camacho estaba invícto cuando enfrentó a Chavez y siguió peleando por más de 10 años. Parisí no pudo ganarle a Chavez pero después ganó un campeonato mundial. Chavez fue mejor que todos los que han vencido a Pacquiao y sólo fue noqueado al final de su carrera. Pacman ha sido noqueado 2 veces y le han regalado las peleas con Márquez y con Agapito Sanchez.

Hearns had a wicked hook to the body, he could stun you with a jab, and his right would KO you. Floyd does not have enough offense to beat Hearns. Hearns would keep him at the proper distnace with those long arms, then bomb on him.. Remember: Tommy only had to hit you once if it was in the right place.

@csibond Would've been interesting. Chavez is tougher than Marquez but slower and not as good a defender. Also his hands are slower. I don't think he could counter Pac the way Marquez did. On the other hand if Chavez hit Pac, what would happen? Also at what weight class? Pac is better now not because of roids but because he now has a right hand better balance and is fighting closer to his best weight - jr. welter IMO. Early one-handed Pac maybe loses to Chavez.

But also Chavez did have a better chin (in his prime) than Marquez. And I think prime Chavez vs prime Pacquiao in the right weight division would be a war, Hagler vs Hearns style, but longer lasting.

Is it because he is a more complete fighter now? I think part of the answer is that he is much faster than the bigger fighters he is fighting now. Anyway, I think Chavez's best fighting weight was maybe lightweight....Not so Manny Pacquiao.

@NME712 that email to teddy atlas, was something with no real proof. theres no evidience that the email even existed. teddy atlas just says that his "friend" got an email saying that. and the first negotiations it was kind of both there faults, mayweather wanted blood testing with a 14 day cut off, many wanted 24, the second time a contract was prepared and a count down for floyd to sign it before it was too late was on the top rank sign. they were not able to reach floyd.
