  • very wise check his response and choice of words

  • This man was talking like a national leader and for sure he was. RIP

  • Thats a fact 5th brigade was ZANU PF army just like the so called Green bombers Mazinhunzi asingabve padhodhi

  • It is noble to want to repatriate the land to the original inhabitants but this has already happened in Zim with disastrous consequences. Did you even know that there has been famine in Zim for years. Now the vulnerable people of Zim are completely reliant on food donations from the predominantly "White Devils" from foreign agencies just to survive so I can not see the sense in what has been achieved but I guess that's African logic for you!

  • Nothing anyone says about Zim is credible, the proof is in the statistics, under Nirbija's "Pale Devils" and "Wiked White Invaders" there was not the type of suffering you find today despite it being racist before, life expectancy and literacy was much higher and the economy was growing vastly. If it wasn't Mugabe it would have been another dictator. So enjoy your wonderful sophisticated African democracy and all it has brought you. And yes the real devil Mugabe will win the election again, Viva

  • @Motx77 "life expectancy, literacy, economy, democracy"? Whose goals/values?

Who in their right mind pursue the 'goals/values' OF THEIR HISTORICAL ENEMIES?

First & foremost, Africans are interested in repatriating their INDIGENOUS LANDS, etc from the pale devils, who invaded innocent Africans UNPROVOKED

Chimurenga is about driving out the pale devils, repatriating indigenous properties, Self-determination

Your ignorance, delusion & arrogance cause you think that YOUR goals/values are important

  • Nkomo was an even-minded African hero.

Good for Nkomo to tamp down the Ndebele vs Shona 'divide & dominate' nonsense that was being pushed by the wicked white invaders.

If the beastly and bigoted brits manage to used 'divide & dominate' to set Zimbabwe on fire, then the pale devils will be pale not more. They will be roasted!

  • Comment removed

  • Nkomo was a true leader who didn't want people to be divided.

  • kunosara mhondi nevaroi. this was a leader even tho I m Shona

  • kunosara mhondi nevaroi

  • My Granpa on my mothers side, i met him when i was a little boy in Zambia between 1977 to 79.

  • are we to believe that these incidence of killings and so on is beyond the mechanisms of the whites? please. all you have to do is pay a man a bit of money and have him give you an army uniform get anther to wear it and do the job. its the wolf in sheep clothing tactic. there are mersonaries all over africa. armed with money and guns on the ready to aid anyone that they want to do their dirtty work for them. sorry but from the day that mugabe got in, the white establishment was working.

  • heish bantu... umdala wethu bafo'

  • this is a very strange interview, why does he defend ZANU, surely he knows what was going on at this time

  • A strange one indeed

  • The sick fuck laughed about the massacre of the survivors of passenger planes he shot down. War is a horrible thing but no need to kill women and children in cold blood. Shows no humanity - he is less then a rabid dog and a horrible thing for black and white people.

  • if only the the people of Zimbabwe could listen to what has been said by our past ture leaders and by those who stand back and commentate , i mean as i write this in nyazura i know i am the only person on the net yet the police still pull me up even though i am the only one that drops them off every day!

  • This video is a must for all Zimbabweans to see. The struggle for freedom continues, even from beyond the grave, Father Zimbabwe still unites us. Thank you Freedom Spirit for giving us Joshua.

  • The largest military armoury was bombed (by South African Agents and Zim collaborators) the ANC office was bombed killing Joe Gqabi / Mugabe's house was attacked by gunmen /and the Zim Judiciary allowed suspects to escape back to South Africa. This all history ERASED by Rhodesian's and sellout black Zim's...what would the Canadian / US Government do with such sabotage on their own soil ? The ARMY would be called out .

  • Nkomo should have ruled Zim over Mugabe...

But Zim needs a mixed government of both White and Black otehrwise there will never be peace.

The real violence is black on black, not black on white.

  • nkomo was a great man he was both side in shona and ndebele i m so pround of nkomo this man he did know what he is talking about

  • @solomoni77 i totally agree with you,do you Nkoma was popular with the shona in the 60s and 70s

  • bloody futseki wena ndwangu...... uNkomo played a big role for every Zimbabwean despite bieng Ndebele ,Shona, kalanga, tonga, u name the tribes. just check how humbled and affected he is and until he died he continued to disputed violence and state abuse.

  • Nkomo raive dhara veduwe!! ndabvuma hangu, This was a man of Integriy and peace.

  • nkomo was a man of character. i still remember how he had threatened to resign from the gvt after mugabe denied strive masiyiwa the license to operate econet. a national leader indeed

  • i hope this fat murderous terrorist burns in hell...............

  • sihlama sendwangu

  • why dont you go back to zim?

you can be close to your hero mugabe...lol

  • @mrgeneralpinochet Your mother should burn in hell

  • batshele i miss him

  • Nkomo is an amazing man. The current state of Zimbabwe is such a shame though... It's such a pity that his health has worsened over the years.

  • what do you mean HAS WORSENED OVER THE YEARS, he passed away years ago

  • You can see it when he speaks - he is holding back ( I say too much ) but as a father and leader he wanted peace ,he did not want to commit rash accustions . It is a pity though, maybe those statements may have brought change , change so desperately needed .I see this I wonder why he shook mugade's hand in unity ,he must have taken a lot of heat from hard-liners and forsaken a lot of his personal feelings for the ppl ! and for that Nkomo will always be a great man,if only he were here today....

  • shame he tried.....

  • wise man &very respectable leader

  • are you a retard.......

  • wena!!!!fuseki mani nxa, suka lapha retard retard yokwenzani la?,uyayazi into 'khuluma ngayo?

  • Jesus loves you do u love him??

  • he sounds like madiba lol

  • ALL Nkomo speak good English than Tsvangira lol love him lol

  • Mugabe had one shot at going down the history as one of the greatest men... He fucked it up... He turned his own nation, once the Bread Basket of Africa into a Cholera infested shithole...

  • Nkomo was damn right. There was no tribal war, just party war. It is inaccurate to think that Mugabe or his cronies were doing this for the benefit of shona speaking people. Those shona speaking people who supported the idea of tribal war are the worst idiots. Open your eyes. What is language other than a means of communication. A just and sustainable government is based on laws not nationality, race, ethnicity or language.

  • to mecksonp

i agree with you pal Nkomo should n't have allowed to be a junior partner in gvt and his party to be assimilated ,in short he sold out.Basefuna ukukapula kuphela ndoda.!

  • The GREAT STATESMAN EVER MUGABE HAD AN INFERIORITY COMPLEX HE MADE SURE HE DECAPITATED ZAPU AND ITS STRUCTURES.THE HISTORY OF CHIMURENGA IS DISTORTED BUT ONE DAY THE TRUTH WILL BE TOLD.FATHER ZIMBABWE REST IN PEACE!

  • I personally think he wasnt a great states man. He shouldn't have allowed ZAPU to be assimilated by ZANU. He should have negotiated with Mugabe as an equal partner & not as a lesser partner. He had ZIPRA and should have used it effectively. VIVA Ziyaphapha, Mangena & Masuku

  • The other option pal Nkomo should have allowed his army to much on to Harare/state house coz zanla was alresdy defeated at Entumbane. But what did Nkomo do ? He ordered zipra to disarm and retreat just a few miles from the capital.well he regreted his actions when he was made to run for dear life via Botswana to seek refuge. He lacked agression he was too linient and accomodative, these are the weaknesses which Mugabe capitalised on.

  • watching this interview it is now clear that Nkomo was a coward. he should have acknowledged thatn the gukurahundi was tribal & specifically designed to exterminate the Ndebele. he should have been more militant than he was.

  • This vid made me sOOoOoOo wet LOL

UMmmm LOL this is SO werid but if anyone is reading this. MSG ME! QB

  • Paxman still looks the same..

  • wow, this is soo eery and a tragic irony for zimbabwe. mugabe is using the same strategy to oust morgan that he used on poor josh. We thank God for u Joshua coz now we have learnt through your struggle how the evil mind of bob works and now morgs can learn from it. God bless Zimbabwe!

  • Mugabe rigged the 1980 vote he started rigging years ago, mugabe didn't fight for democracy he got given it to him in a plate. Joshua Nkomo was a great leader, it is now time for shona and ndebele's to unite it's the only to move forward to be free

  • Very impressive Dr. Nkomo. He is so seasoned, level headed and committed to the reconciliation of his beloved country. This is the man who is strongly confident in the ability of humans to solve their problems in an amicable way. As I view this interview he evokes the memories of Mr. Mandela. Long live however gone our beloved Dr. Nkomo. We shall continue to honour your memory wena Mdala wethu. 5 stars from me.

  • mugabe was a dog eating vomiting from day one i wish he can eat my poo!

  • AndreMSC4984, democracy cannot be exported and it does not work for everyone. Do you think Ian Smith was a better leader than Mugabe? Do you know how many people he killed but because he was white and the vicyims were black there was no Numberg trial. Until you wear the shoe that makes a man limp, you have no idea what tacks in it hurt. Do not laugh at a man that walks bent if you never carried his load. Any day, Mugabe is better than ur Ian Smith! Freedom for all of Africa

  • @bwari01 I disagree with you mate. Just because Smith killed doesnt make Mugabe better. As far as i am concerned Mugabe is the worst african leader ever. We are in 2010 and the man still clinging on to power at the age of 90 or somethin, elections coming soon and he's on course for yet another term. He's a disgrace

  • @brendanmaz that is true if Nkomo was Zimbabwe's president we wouldn't have these problems but that son of a bitch (MUGABE) has represented the Shona people wrong.

  • Mugabe is precisely why some nations are not ready for democracy. They elect rats like him and then wonder what happened when their country is a dictatorship which is being ruined day by day. The Germans elected Hitler and deserved him as a result of their ignorance, The venezuelans elected Chavez and deserve his dictatorship for their stupidity, and the people of Zimbabwe demanded the fall of Ian Smith, they got it... so next time anyone says we owe africa aid... I think not.

  • I wonder what you are doing here worried about Zim and its issues. Obviously you are not one of the Zim people. Just like a colonialist, trying to share his wothless 2 cent where its not needed. Do you anythoing about pre colonial Zim or are u here just running your mouth? do you know anything about the agreemnt btwn Britain and Zim when she got her indepence? its better to not speak and leave doubt than to speak and prove you are a fool.

  • Bwari01, point in case, you are clearly not democratic as my very existance causes you to foam at the mouth. I wonder, have you ever expressed an opinion over Israel or the United States? Yet you are not Israeli nor American... by your logic you ought shut your mouth. I however disagree, the greatest strength of Republican Democracy is its plurality and its respect for individual rights. (Ironically this is also its greatest weakness), ps. you haven't the slightest clue who I am or where im from

  • You do not what I am and you have no right to judge since you know nothing about me. i do not bither expressing opinions about nations that I do not belong to. To me; each man his own. Just because something works for one nation, it is guaranteed to work for another. One mans medicine is another's poison. And democracy does not respect everyone's rights; that is what it is made to sound like. And, I will leave you alone since you already spoke and left no doubt about your foolishness.

  • I see, so all who agree with you are enlightened, and all others are fools... well said. Concepts like democracy may be 'western' because they originated within western philosophy, but their true goals are the noblest of all philosophies. All people on earth long to live the kind of lives only democracy can afford them, individual rights and freedoms are universal, all humans deserve them, western or not. This sort of cultural relativism you practice is unacademic at best; but its your right...

  • P.s. its not that I like or don't like Ian Smith, but I hate Mugabe because I see him for the racist genocidal criminal that he is, oh yes, despite what you'd like to think, not only whites are racist my friend.

I tollerate your viewpoint, even if I disagree with it, it doesn't disgust me as mine does you, hence which of us is truely intollerant?

  • AndreMSC your comments are just passive aggresive, arrogant rubbish.

only people with very small minds dare to make such sweeping statements.

it isn't a sign of intelligence.

  • Nkomo is a great statesman. Although he teveals the fact that Gukurahundi was not a tribal issue, we still believe so. Mugabe tribalised the issue and we must not buy the idea. Nkomo wouldnt have been president because of the tribal politics played by Mugabe

  • Nkomo was a great man. Mugabe screwed him over and he kept his calm. He should have been the first prime minister of zimbabwe.

  • R.I.P Zinyani lesilo.........King Of Kings.

  • The mark of a great statesman. He knew his life was in danger & he knw quite well from who but not once do you hear him spew hate speeches & propaganda. He is diplomatic about it & in so doing leaves the door open for reform in his enemies. He is using well-thought out response that are designed not to make an already bad situation worse. The interviewer is actually trying to push him into it but he maintains his diplomacy.Him & Mbeki would have made a formidable team.

    Thanx for posting.

  • What people dont know is the only person who wanted any ndebele zimbabwean citizens killed was MUGABE he feared the former freedom fighters who sought refuge in matebeleland as they had done during the war who knew him for the murderer he was would overthrow him together with the rise of ZAPU he stood no chance he then decided to target the community that assisted the freedom fighters the Ndebele populace PASI NAMUGABE PAMBERI NEZIMBABWE LONGLIVE JOSHUA NKOMO!!!

  • Thats why you were swallowed...

  • Bulshit nkomo

  • fuck u and yo momma,,ignorant mo fucker

  • I wonder what would have happened if Nkomo had become the first president.

  • Well if nkomo had become the first leader, Zim would have gone into a severe civil war becoz Mugabe would have gone back to the bush with his gueriillas and done like savimbi in Angola.I

  • wow, this is profound information: Gukurahundi was not a tribal conflict but just Mugabe's mastermind!we should all unite -ndebele and shona!!

  • rest in peace father of a nation, wish you were here to see what's happened to you country

  • I wonder why we still have ZANU in power. It's so sad after this. It's like saying Hitler should have stayed in power and the Jews in Israel and everywhere should have go back to Germany to live in peace and tranquility doing as if the holocoust never took place. No forgiving since there is no regret or any form of remorse from the perpetrator.

  • He had the nation at heart and not politicking.Listen to how he protects the Shonas

  • @chrismafu He's a terrorist, and Mugabe's bedmate. Are we really expected to believe he dragged that fat arse through his 12 inch square toilet window?

Some people don't know when they've got it good, you ttink you're better off under the tyrant you've got now? throw all the whites from their farms, then wonder why you've got no food. Maybe if you ran the farmsteads yourself, but no, you just want to pillage and then wonder where everything has gone.

  • @chrismafu I even noticed that he was a true leader not that idiot Mugabe and for us the Shona people Mugabe is not a Shona he is from Malawi

  • viva mqabuko

  • NKOMO WAS A GREAT GUY,, AND A GREAT HERO

  • This video reflects the problem that the matabeland people suffered.Nkomo was a good guy and that was the problem .He had this fantacy feeling that the shona could unite with ndebele for one zimbabwe yet mugabe was on a mission to destroy his people. This man was our biggest liability,we needed a fighter not this kind of a coward.

  • ZANU Dirt!!!Tsvangirai is getting the same treatment so is Pius Ncube!
