Brigham Young was a demon who murder Joseph Smith, took over church... before this massacre. It's a cult, period. There were other incidents in history involving these sheeple, Truth is a motherfucker.
@bushantichrist Joseph Smith was murdered by a mob while in a jail which he was put in for practicing his own religion. We are called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The mormons did not originally wish to travel to Salt Lake. We were driven out of every other state. An extermination of the mormons was ordered by a governor. Not once was violent retaliation ordered by church leaders. Please learn the real truth before you claim what think you know to be right.
Thoughout parts of Christian History Church leaders condoned massacres and both the Catholics and Protestants participated in very unchristian behaviour which is well documented. Many souls were falsely accused and burnt for crimes they did not commit and all this in the name of the Saviour who taught mercy and love. A major difference here is that Brigham instucted that the trekking party be left alone. Lee acted against orders to wait. Its documented but ignored.
Rox, go read what Dickens had to say about these people and one can see what quality folk these were as they built schools and playhouses. You take the acts of a few and try and suggest that all mormons are complicit. Today most religions has had someone who has commited and atrocious act including the muslim Faith but are all muslims evil because of a few men, no, this is not the thruth. Hitler was a Catholic and murdered more than 6 000 000 people but this does not make all Catholics evil.
They didn't want to murder anybody. They were under attack! They were being stolen from and harassed. They had just been driven from three seperate states, and they were scared it was going to happen again! Someone should do the story of Hawn's MIll, or Nauvoo, or the Mormon Battallion
..."threatened my family and killed my livelihood"? Seriously? That's a BULLCRAP excuse! The Fancher-Baker party was very clearly a peaceful emigrant party, WITH CHILDREN, who were on their way to California. They never threatened the Mormons nor killed their livelihood! The Mormons acted out of irrational hysteria.
Why don't you just do what Gordon Hinckley did, and admit that the Mormons were wrong?
@RoxRock4ever Bullshit! This was not iscolated! Mormons were TERRORizing wagon trains for a long time! More than stealing... they killed with thier regular Indian decoy attacks! Fucking Liar!
@toefur69 Oh really? What wagon trains? HUH! We are the Jews of America! We were tarred, feathered, beaten, and killed in town after town. All we wanted was to practice our religion! If WE were the crooks, then why were thousands of people literally driven from the country just because they were Mormons? We were not terrorists. We colonized the western US. We founded over 500 cities and towns, and almost all of them are still around. Las Vegas, Casper, Boise, & you can even thank us for SD, CA
What the Mormon church doesn't tell you is that the Mormons were driven out of those states because they tried to set up a theocracy. They actually did it in Nauvoo and of course Utah. The theocracy in Utah helped fuel the tragedy of Mountain Meadows.
Guess what? People in America didn't want a theocracy. And that's the often untold story of why the Mormons were driven out of the states they settled in.
Don't be a fool... there's another side to the story.
They didn't want to murder anybody. They were under attack! They were being stolen from and harassed. They had just been driven from three seperate states, and they were scared it was going to happen again!
At around 4:00, Jon Voight says that "this is the story about how a group of religious fanatics uses religion to rationalize murder".
Jon Voight is right, there! So, regardless of whether Brig Young authorized it, or not...we KNOW, from history, that Young made a trip to Southern Utah, several years later and is quoted (from a mormon, in his party) as saying that "Vengeance is mine, saith the Lord"...and I, Brig, "have taken some".
There is even a statue honoring John D. Lee, for his role
Why do some feel they need to lead me away from being mormon? This religion answers all the questions I have, and fills me with joy. I respect other religions-there is truth within them all, so why can I not expect the same respect given to my faith?
it was not a bunch of fanatics when brigham young sent word to them the got the message after the deed was done i studied it before i became a mormon such misinterpritation but look at all the mormons murdered in carthridge including the prophet josheph smith who was shot in the back by a bunch of cowardly malitia that dressed up in mask and the thousands of women raped and killed and the children that were killed
Thousands of women, raped and killed? Now I know why you call yourself "Bubba".
Why are you defending murder, here, Bubba?
In the field of LAW, anyone giving aid and comport, to a murderer (or group of murderers) is called an "accesory after the fact".
The only thing that you can do is try to shift things away from the murders, depicted in the film. You would also doubtless say that there is a "real" reason for having a statue erected, in John D. Lee's honor, too.
Sorry. I wrote this, late at night. CORRECTION: "Anyone giving aid and comfort, to a murderer, is called an accessory, after the fact".
The only thing that you (Bubba) seem willing to do is to shift the focus away from the murders (and the murderers), in the film. You would doubtless see some kind of "real" reason, also, that one sees a bronze (or stone) statue, erected--in Southern Utah--to the honor of John D. Lee: the ONLY one who was executed, for his role, at Mtn.Meadows.
@orlovna2 now before you go jumping you might wanna see how hot the fire is and know your facts before jump into the fire this is history today and because of whiney people like you is states are doing away wirh public hangings and exicutions as far as why i am called bubba that is something you will never know
@orlovna2 I never defend murder. I do defend defending your family and land from a bunch of no good rough necks. If they honor John D. Lee, its because he wasn't afraid to stand up for himself. I still can't believe they finally make a non-church sponsored mormon movie, and they make us look like cult fanatics out to kill.
IExposeMormonism you have done anything but...!! Everyone is spewing about the Mountain Meadows massacre which eventuated because of some renegade Mormons, so what?? And did they do a movie about the Hauns Mill massacre? Naaa dont be stupid, of course not, they were Mormons so who cares if some Mormons were massacred oh yeah thats right, how many were slaughtered, raped, and run out of every state just because of people's phobias? Bit hypocritical dont you think?
The Mountain Meadows Massacre is the Fruit of Mormonism. Any errors in the movie only go to the Mormons advantage. Telling the full truth of this mass murder was not done here, but there is enough shown to make one pause......And there are more similarities to 2001-911 than meets the eye at first glance.
@IExposeMormonism the fruit of mormonism? Hardly. Try founding the West. Try how we were driven from town to town and state to state, not because we were troublemakers, but because of our faith. What about the mass murder committed against us? How about Hawn's MIll? How about how the Mormon Battallion holds the record for the longest military march in US history. There is a statue of Brigham Young in D.C. for his role in colonizing the western USA. Similiar to 9/11? What kind of Idiot are you?
@RoxRock4ever Battalion truth? Brigham sent an aid to Washington to volunteer 1000 for enlistment. Washington denied Brighams request but accepted 500. Brigham kept every dime of script that was to be paid to the soldiers. The only battle on the trek came with a herd of wild cattle. The Spanish were driven out by a group of well trained U.S. soldiers before the battalion passed through. Families starved while the soldiers made the long trek. 3 soldiers found gold while working for Sutters mill.
That was the dumbest Hollywood flop I have ever encountered. That movie could have been very good had they taken the middle and balanced road as opposed to the agenda driven road that was taken with dramatics that never happened. It was done by a bunch of Hollywood hacks who really didn't take the time or the effort to study the history in depth including the complexities of the situation that happened at that time. Guess factual history doesn't mix well with Hollywood very often.
the full extent of the crime is not approached in the movie... For this the Mormon can be happy. The deeper you go the more arcane it becomes. The movie does capture the violence and fanaticism but many important facts are missing. Read John D Lee's confession. Many books are out there, especially on Ebay.
Well nobody's really happy when they don't do their research and don't study the primary source documents. It can still be a dramatic movie and stay closer to the facts as opposed to making things up like they did.
Also your inflammatory screen name says a lot about your views on any subject regarding Mormonism. I'm sure they would not use you as a juror or as a judge in a defense case regarding a believing Mormon or a representative of the Mormon faith.
@Starvalleybotany Mormonism has judged itself with the MMM. There are many small defects in the movie but they all go to help Mormonism. Right now I am posting videos on the Martial Law Declaration. There are 2! one is August 15 and one is September 15. The Fancher train was in SLC on Aug 5 so Briggy had plenty of time to notify them. But then Mormons say it was a typo. Then they say no, it wasn't a typo. you can see the implications of a Aug 5 Martial Law?
@Starvalleybotany The Main Ingredient in the MMM is Demonic Possession, Greed, Power. These Monsters made Prayer circles, like Freemasons do, by wrapping the left arm around each other and raising the right to a square! They did this many times in Murdering these innocents. They carefully covered up there crime. They insulted even the children! And this while billing the People of the USA for the crimes of Mormons! Murder and theft wasn't enough, it never is in these sorts of sickness
"Prayer circles, like Freemasons do..." My father was a freemason and I completely resent the bigoted, unfounded and unreasonable b.s. you have just spewed about Freemasonry. Several of the early founders of our nation were Freemasons. I am proud of our Freemason heritage as it has many wonderful virtues and strengths for our society. People like you are fear-mongers and are a detriment to any free society.
@Starvalleybotany You may not like it but Mormonism is Rift with Freemasonry. There are more than one experience. I have bought and sold many books on Freemasonry. I posted "The Morgan Affair" because it typifies the violence of Mormonism and Masonry. If you study The Morgan Affair you will see what Freemasonry is: The most violent political cult in the world, home of the New World Order and the Subjection of Christianity to its principles of Man as God. Mormonism=Freemasonry=DeathCult
@IExposeMormonism You're an absolute lune. I rate you up there with Orly Tate and the birther movement as well as the 911 CONspiracy movement. Nothing can change your conspiracy worldview because it is (in and of itself) a cult/religion of which there are (unfortunately) many duped followers including yourself.
@Starvalley the conspiracy is with Mormonism. Like the Abraham Papyrus. Any careful examination shows the false interpretation. The conspiracy is in the Mountain Meadows Massacre. That was carefully planed and executed. What kind of mind does such a thing. And, again, many prayer circles were used to invoke the spirit. It's easy to read of such things. John D Lee is just one source. Many Mormon Murders were committed in 19th C Mormonism. The BofM is another conspiracy. stolen and plagiarized
@Starvalleybotany Joe would have done better to write books like Cat in The Hat. That bad little cat fixed things up. Or Fox in Sox::"I can't blab such blibber blubber my tongue isn't made of rubber". As it is, Joe made some serious linguistic errors and being tongue tied isn't a good excuse. Mormons believe in Demonic possession and commune with spirits in some of their ceremonies.
@IExposeMormonism DEMONIC POSSESSION? WE BELIEVE NOTHING OF THE SORT! You HAVE NO IDEA what we believe at ALL! You are just another blind critic you hides behind false rumors and pretenses. We do not commune with spirits via ceremony (we do believe in modern revelation, but that is a completely different thing). He was not tongue tied....he had the education of a third grader. Even a modern college student couldn't make up the Book of Mormon, Try reading it sometime.
@RoxRock4ever You don't believe Joseph was under demonic influence? I suppose Joseph couldn't tell if Satan told him to send the boys to Canada to sell the rights to the BookofM. They failed and Joseph couldn't decide if it was a human error or if Satan told him to do it. Joseph lied about many things and seeing God was one of them.
@IExposeMormonism As i read down your comments, I realize more and more that for no apparrent reason, you truly hate the mormons. If we are a cult, then christianity itself is a cult, because christian is what we are through and through. Freemasons? Don't know much about them. Mormon Violence? THIS stupid movie innacurratley portrays the only moment of active violence any of our people had. Yes it happened, and we all wish it never did. but we are not a violent "deathcult" you sick son of a fish
Anyone who believes in Demonic possession the way you definitely needs his head checked and also lacks any credibility. You might think about getting back on your meds there dude.
@IExposeMormonism you don't do research at all do you? How could they be greedy? They had nothing but family and faith. Everything else was stolen, abandoned, or burned. For heaven sakes! THEY WERE MOSTLY POOR IMMIGRANTS FROM EUROPE! How could they crave power? They had fled into what was then Mexico before it became the US. Demonic Possession? I'm not even gonna answer that one.
@RoxRock4ever The early members were poor immigrants from Europe? Joseph and Brigham made sure they received a 1 way ticket so they would never be able to leave mormonville. The missionaries were encouraged to baptize as many as possible, but were told to keep "hands off" the young women.
Jon Voight is so clueless about his perception of the truth regarding this massacre. What a joke he is. And these women are just as bad for inviting him. A true waste of my time and everyone else's. The ticket sales show it was a disaster movie.
"May 25 [1861] A very cold morning much ice on the creek. I wore my great coat & mittens. We visited the Mt. Meadows Monument not up at the burial place of 120 persons killed by Indians in 1857. The pile of stone was about twelve feet high but beginning to tumble down. A wooden cross is placed on top with the following words, Vengeance is mine and I will repay saith the Lord. Pres. Young said it should be Vengeance is mine and I have taken a little" (Mountain Meadows Massacre, p. 182).
IF you actually research information from the time, enough mystery is found to raise the possibility that Brigham Young and the LDS Church Hierarchy new more then they were saying. All this movie does is use TRUE research and creates it's own version of events off of what others found. Also, look at the trailer, it is not Hollywood made.
@awolLDSasap You've confused Brigham Young with John Bowie. And lets just say that if someone were somehow going to press charges against the church for this, then I'd push back all the horrible stuff done to us in Ohio, Missouri, and Illinois. A City the size of CHICAGO was forcibly abandoned! IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER! Mobs killed far more of us than this incident could ever measure up to
Completely untrue movie. It is true that members of the LDS church murdered those people, but they acted on their own and not on the "orders" of any of the church leadership. To say that it was the leadership that "ordered" this attack is the biggest lie. Of course it's Hollywood that likes to spin any story into something it is not.
Very sad story that never should've happened, but the LDS church doesn't hide it at all. Do a bit of research Hollywood and public alike.
There is plenty of evidence to prove that the environment of extreme fear at that time was the main ingredient in the events that led up to the massacre.
@Starvalleybotany The main ingredient was misplaced hate and extreme greed. The MMM was carefully planed and executed. If fear entered into a Mormon mind it was "What if I get caught". G.A. Smith preceded the wagon train spewing sermons of lies and hate. Birggy issued to Martial Law Declarations. Oddly, Mormon web sites show BOTH MLD's, the Aug 5 and Sept 15. Fanchers were in SLC Aug2. There is no excuse. The Aug 5 Doc was suppressed. But one surfaced. I have many posts on this subject.
This is a deep issue with volumes of information and history around it. People make up their minds one way or another and both sometimes have good arguments but to the more unbiased historian there are still many questions that remain as an unsolved mystery. The Martial Law issue was because of President Buchanan sending Federal Troops to the Utah territory.
So are you an educated historian with university degrees (especially a doctorate) and have you published books on this issue that have been peer reviewed?
Kiss my butt botany. If a Phd is what's required then we have dispensed with Joe and Briggy. Praise God and the congregation said "Amen". I do spend hours a day reading on Mormonism and MMM. I know the weaknesses in the movie, they only go to help the Morg'. And I am going to find out what's going on with the 2 Martial Law doc's. It's refreshing to see Mormon sites expose the truth to light, even if by accident. An August 5 date shows what Mormonism is. But so does a Sept 15th.
LOL - "An August 5 date shows what Mormonism is. But so does a Sept 15th." That's hilarious. Kiss my butt botany. I don't discuss issues like this with people who seriously lack credibility and education. You've definitely proven you lack both.
This movie ie rediculous. They have absolutely no proof that young had any involvement nor do they cover the circumstances. The Mormons had just had hundreds of them killed in missouri and even had an extermination order against them. There were serious brutalities against them including murder, rape, kidnappings etc... They fled the violence and walked to Utah. Many died on the way. Mormons in Utah were just scared. Question is, WHY ISNT ANYONE MAKING MOVIES ABOUT THE HORRORS done to them?
Oh you can be afraid of mormons given the right circumstances. Here's an example. Live in Utah, have a differing point of view from the church, be a person of color dating a white person. Then try going out and enjoy the nigh life in Salt Lake City. Fear will come sooner rather than later.
I'm lost, I don't think so, I base my opinions on evidence, not fantasy. People in general don't like outsiders, no mater what the race or creed. I could give you a list of very religious places in the world were you could not walk safe at night specially if your companion was one a person of another race.
@ozzie2005 what does being colored have to do with anything? I feel far safer in Salt Lake than just about any other city. New York, Denver, Boston, they all give me the creeps! Try walking through Provo, Utah. The only people that get scared there are liberals (unneccessarily, because we are a very peaceful and friendly people), because it is the most conservative city in America. Its right up there at least with Rexburg, ID, and Colorado Springs, CO.
@RoxRock4ever Do you see auras around people after noticing they're wearing garments or feel a spirit when in the midst of mormondom? Can't you see what brainwashing does to the mind?
I Know JOseph Smith is a prophet of God , He is our Master on earth and eternity , Joseph is perfect we are not , so we should understand things according our narrow capacity , Brigham Young is our prophet he was doing the will of the Lord
how dare you... joseph smith is no master but a leader, hes not perfect unlike the saviour and lord. dont even think u can spread such nonsense giving the lds a bad image. we come under only 2 beings/masters and that is heavenly father and his son.
problem is with Jesus and Moses and Samuel of the Old Testament NOT with me. If Revelation's words give you pause then why don't those same words in Deuteronomy have you cut off the Bible there? And if Revelations is the last book of the true Bible then you need to cut some other books out of your Bible, because Revelations was far from the last book, time wise, that was written. You don't know the Bible and THAT is why pointing out things in the Bible will not work with you.
And ON and ON and ON , I could write all day about the false prophecy of your founders, yet it is the only "True Church", ha ha ha. Please, you're a fool for Joe and his false teachings.
If you let God in your heart and seek HIS WORD and look for the truth, he will show you his love, I can't do that.
The Bible advises everyone to "test everything-hold on to the good" (Thessalonians 5:21) & "Investigate carefully, that you may know the exact truth" (Luke 1:3-4). I'm done with you, my job is over.
I assure you there's no doubt in my mind that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God, the One True and Living God, the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The God who delivered Israel from Egypt by His Mighty Hand.
the stories in your book talk of a civilaztion of early people in the americas that never existed a language called i believe reformed egyptian that never existed. if these things never existed then jesus never came to them, what do you base your faith on
@funnrun There is a whole lot more ex- catholics, lutherans, protestants, jews, athiests, and islamics than ex-mormons. Most people leave the church not because they don't believe in it, but because they can't cope with the standards. Dress modestly, don't drink alcohol and don't smoke. heck, we even discourage caffeine because its addictive.
You said, "Most people leave the church not because they don't believe in it, but because they can't cope with the standards."
Actually, that's NOT the reason most people leave the mormon church. Mormons tell themselves that lie in order to make themselves feel better about it.
Go to any ex-Mormon online forum, and you will see that the REAL reason they leave the church is because they realize it's a false religion, that it doesn't make sense, and they NO LONGER BELIEVE IT.
@RoxRock4ever "Most people leave the church because they can't live up to the standards of the crutch"? That deception is spoon fed to you by the general authoritarians. Many ex members I have met came to an understanding the lds leaders lied to them and had deceived them. And you can't fathom why people get angry when crutch leaders have lied to them? Almost everyone I have met have been temple worthy members who found the truth and decided to flee away from the self righteous liars.
Joseph Smith was totally honest and never once even showed signs in private or public of wavering from his beliefs, even when faced with a cowardly mob that killed him
Common sense? I'm probably smarter than you are
I'm not denying any truth. This even happened and we are not proud of it. Shut up
I probably know the Bible better than you
If you are referreing to that scripture in Revelations, then you also believe that all three..
@RoxRock4ever Joseph Smith said to Emma and the congregation, "I have only 1 wife" & 30 + women in the audience brewed with scorn and some probably wept because of Josephs lying and deception.
@RoxRock4ever There are hundreds of Mayan pictographs & codicies that look nothing like Egyptian. They look like Chinese characters. The codicies are real. Reformed egyptian is not real.
... flee to Zion, before the overflowing scourge overtake you, for there are those now living upon the earth whose eyes shall not be closed in death until they see all these things, which I have spoken, fulfilled (History of the Church, vol. 1, pp.315-16). WRONG!!!
January 4, 1833. And now I am prepared to say by the authority of Jesus Christ, that not many years shall pass away before the United States shall present such a scene of bloodshed as has not a parallel in the history of our nation; pestilence, hail, famine, and earthquake will sweep the wicked of this generation from off the face of the land, to open and prepare the way for the return of the lost tribes of Israel from the north country
@funnrunYes, we do believe this is true. We will do everything we can to stop it, as we are proud Americans. But at the rate this country is going, this is going to happen sooner rather than later.
Which city shall be built, beginning at the temple lot, which is appointed by the finger of the Lord, in the western boundaries of the State of Missouri, and dedicated by the hand of Joseph Smith, Jun., and others ...For verily this generation shall not all pass away until an house shall be built unto the Lord, and a cloud shall rest upon it.... WRONG
in a revelation given by Joseph Smith September 22 and 23, 1832, :
Yea, the word of the Lord concerning his church, established in the last days for the restoration of his people,... for the gathering of his saints to stand upon Mount Zion, which shall be the city of New Jerusalem....
"January 23, 1833, Joseph Smith ... my father presented himself,... I asked of him a father's blessing, which he granted by laying his hands upon my head, in the name of Jesus Christ, and declaring that I should continue in the Priest's office until Christ comes." WRONG!!!!
"It is my belief, that the time of our deliverance will be within five years; the time indicated being February 14th, 1891.... And that the man raised up will be no other than the Prophet Joseph Smith in his resurrected body.... the government will pass into the hands of the Saints, and that within five years. WRONG!!!
The funniest thing about you posting this "On October 14, 1886" is that Joseph was not alive at the time, so your attempt to attribute these words to him are beyond foolish.
@funnrun Well, the government did. They became self governed in the Utah territories. Heck, they were self-governed before it was even called Utah. If this was truly profesied, then i do believe, he did get ressurrected. Dozens of people in the scriptures have been.
@RoxRock4ever He got ressurrected? NO! The truth is, Joseph has received the punishment and damnation described in the book of Revelation for inserting and removing words in Revelation.
Revelation 22:18-9 He was talking a bout changing or adding to Revelation you idiot!
We all knoewJoe & Mr Young did the countless times and NOW we know how wrong they were Like this, Joseph Smith July 14, 1843: "... I prophecy in the name of the Lord God—& let it be written: that the Son of Man will not come in the heavens till I am 85 years old 48 years hence or about 1890...." WRONG!!!
He was talking about that book, the very book of Revelations states that revelation will be on the earth again because it references two witnesses that will give prophesy in Jerusalem, it also points out that the Spirit of Prophecy/Revelation is the testimony of Jesus. So if you deny continuing revelation then you deny Christ.
@funnrun Okay. They way you are interpreting those scriptures of Revelation, than chronologically all three books of John are false, and one other book I can't remember which. And sense those books are not false, you are obviously interpreting it wrong.
And we believe that Christ has showed himself to the prophets multiple times since Joseph Smith's death.
@RoxRock4ever Jesus appeared to your leaders? It wasn't the omnipotent eternal Jesus Christ. It might have been Satan all dressed up for a deception party. Not one of your leaders since Joseph have publicaly admitted such or written new prophecies or inserted new scripture in any of the standard works. Know why? Because not one of them have met Jesus Christ.
There you go again, using the Bible as a reference to justify the sins of your false prophets! We use God's Words and Jesus to teach salvation, Love, and every lasting life with God, You use the Bible as an excuse for evil behavior and to teach only those story's that fit your twisted thinking. LDS think the Bible is half true, the half that you think helps the evil in you Leaders Lives, and use it to poison the youth.
So you believe Moses taking a second wife was evil? That puts you with Aaron and Miriam and that's rather problematic, you see Jehovah smote Miriam because she protested Moses taking a second wife. Or do you not believe that God actually smote Miriam?
It doesn't work with you because you don't understand the Bible. If you did you would know that the giver of the ten commandments had more than one wife and that having many wives was pretty common among the prophets of the Bible. So if having alot of women is proof of a false prophet then you have issues with the Bible NOT with just Mormonism. And if killing people is your problem then you have an issue with the genocide of the Bible. And if ethnocentric language seems prejudiced then your
But what think ye? A certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go work to day in my vineyard.
29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented, and went.
30 And he came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go, sir: and went not.
31 Whether of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
you can't anwser the questions i have giving you, You want to but you just can't, You are full of excuses and opinion my friend and short on facts. But what can anyone expect from a person who has put all of tis faith in a Man, You do not Defend God... You Defend Joe.. a Man and Sinner. You put all of Gods Kingdom in the hands of a Man who had sex with over 30 Woman at one time and then walk around telling people about Morality and then compare him with Great Men of the Bible.
trying to justify your false prophets with quotes from the bible doesn't work with me boy, try your junk with some young kid who know nothing yet. That is the Mormon way.
Revelation 22:18-9 which states: "For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and [from] the things which are written in this book."
That is so funny. The funniest part is the repeating of points you've brought up before. You truly are just doing your own "Great is Diana of the Ephesians!"
And last I heard the Gold Plates were the same place that the Resurrected Lord is. And if you can't believe without seeing then you don't believe in Jesus the Resurrected.
"Shall I tell you the law of God in regard to the African race? If the white man who belongs to the chosen seed mixes his blood with the seed of Cain, the penalty, under the law of God,is death on the spot. This will always be so." (Journal of Discourses,Volume10,page 110)"THIS WILL ALWAYS BE SO"
That is One thing about Mr.Young,
This own words are filled with pure hate, and he shows the World just what kind of Man would have ordered the killings.
You don't understand that statement, that's why you take it as hate. Christ referred to a whole ethnicity as 'dogs,' why not equally rail against Christians?
Ohhh, I see! We are just to stupid to see the Love Mr Young had in that Quote. He loved his Black brother and just wanted to make friends and invite him & his family in for supper! Same with the 120 people people he order killed! He just wanted to help them get to the Lord a little faster. You just show the world what the LDS church is all about when you make such a dumb statement you have to drag Jesus down to the Mud to justify the Hate in the LDS past. You're one sick Dude!
22 And, behold, a woman of Canaan came out of the same coasts, and cried unto him, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou Son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a devil. 23 But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us. 24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but
Matthew 24:24 "For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; in so much that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect". Matthew 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. 16 Ye shall know them by their fruits. Apostle Paul said "If we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than that we have preached let him be accursed."
Jesus made it clear that deliverance is children's bread
In Mark 7:25-27, we find a woman who was a Gentile, and therefore outside of covenant with God, and her daughter had an unclean spirit. Jesus referred to deliverance as children's bread and made it clear that it is not proper to take what belongs to children (those in covenant with God) and cast it before dogs (those outside covenant with God):
"...For it is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it unto the dogs."
unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 25 Then came she and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me. 26 But he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread, and to cast it to dogs.
Is this not from the New Testament?
You need to brush up on your Bible a bit, especially those parts where Christ is speaking.
Look up the word " dogs" in Greek. Jesus did not call for their DEATH!!!!!!!!
Dragging Jesus & the Bible down to the gutter and twisting their words are very typical of Mormons, You rely on stupid people to spread your bull, but Matthew 7:15 makes it very clear
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves".
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.
Mr Young was a hater who order the death of 120 people in the name of God.
Jesus did call for death and the willingness to put the lives of even family members beneath allegiance to Him. Do you believe Jehovah is God? Then what of Jehovah commanding Israel to slay women, children, and the unborn? What of Jehovah commanding Israel to commit genocide?
You can't have it both ways. Either you believe in the Bible or you believe in another book that contradicts what the Bible says
YOU can't have it both ways. You can't pick Christ and reject Moses, Christ made that very clear when he pointed out to the scribes that they would have killed the prophets they claimed to honor if they'd lived in the days of Moses or Samuel or Isaiah. You are the one that is creating false contradictions in you attempts to try and discredit my faith. You cannot remain honest and a Christian while adhering to the kinds of measurements and judgments you use to judge Mormonism.
How can you prove you have the gospel that Paul did? If you are a trinitarian there's the sticky problem that the actual words to describe that theology didn't exist when the Bible was written. You have a pretty tough case simply to demonstrate that you have received, and accept the same gospel as held by the early saints, as taught by the Apostles.
Most of the Old Testiment are from the Dead Sea scrolls that were found at the turn of the century, and are here to view and translate today by anyone.
Please tell us where we can see the "Gold Plates"? The do not exists!
No Archaeological Evidence & DNA Evidence proves the people & the Cities in the Book of Mormon were not real
This is truly entertaining. "QUICK! CHANGE SUBJECTS BECAUSE I CAN'T ANSWER HIVE'S POINTS"
Do you believe in the resurrection of Christ? Simply because old texts exist that doesn't prove anything of salience, heck old documents exist for many a religion.
And I do believe the Bible. I just don't believe in your misunderstanding of it. Again I'm the one that's using the actual Bible while you are the one that cannot (which Jesus and the prophets could, and did) use the scriptures to counter.
Dude there isn't thing you can say in anyway to make me run from you, Mormons are so wrong on so many things, it's very easy for me to tell you the truth because I don't live a lie, you do.
I'm not trying to get you to run. But that's what you're doing because you're not demonstrating your assertions, you are not showing where I am wrong, you merely assert that I'm wrong. You simply do the equivalent of what the Ephesians or the Priests of Baal did "all with one voice about the space of two hours cried out, Great is Diana of the Ephesians." as if mere assertions made something more true.
The Bible proves you wrong Dude, not Me! Gods word is what i have put here, I don't make excuses for sinners, like you do. You take the Bible and uses it when it's convenient for you but you really think it has been watered down, so stop with the bull, I know Mormons real well!
You're wrong about the Book of Mormon. It's full of anachronisms, so much so that there's even a Wikipedia article on just the anachronisms alone.
You were wrong when the preface to the Book of Mormon said that the Lamanites were the principal ancestors to the Native Americans. In fact, DNA proved that you were so wrong that the Mormon church had to change the preface.
I liked the film , but there were some artistic license that went beyond an accurate account.

Brigham Young was a demon who murder Joseph Smith, took over church... before this massacre. It's a cult, period. There were other incidents in history involving these sheeple, Truth is a motherfucker.
bushantichrist 1 year ago
@bushantichrist Joseph Smith was murdered by a mob while in a jail which he was put in for practicing his own religion. We are called the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. The mormons did not originally wish to travel to Salt Lake. We were driven out of every other state. An extermination of the mormons was ordered by a governor. Not once was violent retaliation ordered by church leaders. Please learn the real truth before you claim what think you know to be right.
carsonkfranklin 4 months ago

@RoxRock4ever

Lee's honor, too.
orlovna2 1 year ago
@orlovna2

IExposeMormonism 1 year ago
@IExposeMormonism the fruit of mormonism? Hardly. Try founding the West. Try how we were driven from town to town and state to state, not because we were troublemakers, but because of our faith. What about the mass murder committed against us? How about Hawn's MIll? How about how the Mormon Battallion holds the record for the longest military march in US history. There is a statue of Brigham Young in D.C. for his role in colonizing the western USA. Similiar to 9/11? What kind of Idiot are you?
RoxRock4ever 1 year ago

Starvalleybotany 2 years ago
the full extent of the crime is not approached in the movie... For this the Mormon can be happy. The deeper you go the more arcane it becomes. The movie does capture the violence and fanaticism but many important facts are missing. Read John D Lee's confession. Many books are out there, especially on Ebay.
IExposeMormonism 2 years ago
Well nobody's really happy when they don't do their research and don't study the primary source documents. It can still be a dramatic movie and stay closer to the facts as opposed to making things up like they did.

IExposeMormonism 2 years ago
@Starvalleybotany The Main Ingredient in the MMM is Demonic Possession, Greed, Power. These Monsters made Prayer circles, like Freemasons do, by wrapping the left arm around each other and raising the right to a square! They did this many times in Murdering these innocents. They carefully covered up there crime. They insulted even the children! And this while billing the People of the USA for the crimes of Mormons! Murder and theft wasn't enough, it never is in these sorts of sickness
IExposeMormonism 1 year ago
"Prayer circles, like Freemasons do..." My father was a freemason and I completely resent the bigoted, unfounded and unreasonable b.s. you have just spewed about Freemasonry. Starvalleybotany 1 year ago

IF you actually research information from the time, enough mystery is found to raise the possibility that Brigham Young and the LDS Church Hierarchy new more then they were saying.

Starvalleybotany 2 years ago
IExposeMormonism 2 years ago
This is a deep issue with volumes of information and history around it. People make up their minds one way or another and both sometimes have good arguments but to the more unbiased historian there are still many questions that remain as an unsolved mystery. The Martial Law issue was because of President Buchanan sending Federal Troops to the Utah territory.

And if Revelations is the last book of the true Bible then you need to cut some other books out of your Bible, because Revelations was far from the last book, time wise, that was written. The Bible advises everyone to "test everything-hold on to the good" (Thessalonians 5:21) & "Investigate carefully, that you may know the exact truth" (Luke 1:3-4). I'm done with you, my job is over.

@RoxRock4ever

Almost everyone I have met have been temple worthy members who found the truth and decided to flee away from the self righteous liars.

funnrun 4 years ago
He was talking about that book, the very book of Revelations states that revelation will be on the earth again because it references two witnesses that will give prophesy in Jerusalem, it also points out that the Spirit of Prophecy/Revelation is the testimony of Jesus. So if you deny continuing revelation then you deny Christ.
HiveRadical 4 years ago
@funnrun Okay. They way you are interpreting those scriptures of Revelation, than chronologically all three books of John are false, and one other book I can't remember which. And sense those books are not false, you are obviously interpreting it wrong.
And we believe that Christ has showed himself to the prophets multiple times since Joseph Smith's death.

HiveRadical 4 years ago
Look up the word " dogs" in Greek. Jesus did not call for their DEATH!!!!!!!!
Dragging Jesus & the Bible down to the gutter and twisting their words are very typical of Mormons, You rely on stupid people to spread your bull, but Matthew 7:15 makes it very clear
"Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves".
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.

Jesus did call for death and the willingness to put the lives of even family members beneath allegiance to Him. Do you believe Jehovah is God? Then what of Jehovah commanding Israel to slay women, children, and the unborn? What of Jehovah commanding Israel to commit genocide?
HiveRadical 4 years ago
You can't have it both ways. Either you believe in the Bible or you believe in another book that contradicts what the Bible says
16 Ye shall know them by their fruits.
funnrun 4 years ago
YOU can't have it both ways. You can't pick Christ and reject Moses, Christ made that very clear when he pointed out to the scribes that they would have killed the prophets they claimed to honor if they'd lived in the days of Moses or Samuel or Isaiah. You are the one that is creating false contradictions in you attempts to try and discredit my faith. You cannot remain honest and a Christian while adhering to the kinds of measurements and judgments you use to judge Mormonism.
HiveRadical 4 years ago
VERY SIMPLE, Apostle Paul said "If we or an angel from heaven preach any other gospel than that we have preached let him be accursed."
Please circle the part you don't like!
funnrun 4 years ago
How can you prove you have the gospel that Paul did? If you are a trinitarian there's the sticky problem that the actual words to describe that theology didn't exist when the Bible was written. You have a pretty tough case simply to demonstrate that you have received, and accept the same gospel as held by the early saints, as taught by the Apostles.

I'm not trying to get you to run. But that's what you're doing because you're not demonstrating your assertions, you are not showing where I am wrong, you merely assert that I'm wrong.
