    News and politics?

  • not working

  • John Ashton -.-

  • He is the best :-)

  • This song fits perfectly into Fluorescent Adolescent (if you don't know what I'm talking about, have a look at their performance at Reading&Leeds back in 2009)

    (:

  • @4everMcFlyer of course, the chords are the same

  • It's a cover of dions song, so chill with the cred

  • hermosa cancion

  • 63000

  • Lyric monster...

  • @juanjchs he didnt write this particular song but, yes i agree with you :P

  • beautiful voice

  • best cover on youtube. ever.

  • ''Alex and John from Arctic Monkeys....'' Erm, excuse me Domino, since when has John been in the Monkeys?

  • @magiera92 since 2006. He always travelled with them on tour.

  • @oiergasdn nah just on the humbug tour

  • @drlionmask no. he helped with management of the sound. you can see him in lots of 'the view from...' videos from 2006

  • @oiergasdn those videos were from the humbug tour in 2009 mate

  • @drlionmask there are some 'the view from' from 2006. That's why i said it 'from 2006'

  • @oiergasdn i saw them live before the first album came out, john ashton was definitely not there until humbug

  • @drlionmask he wasn't playing with the band. He was one of the roadies.

  • Comment removed

  • @drlionmask i will repeat just because i'm in a good humor. I've seen him on the the view from videos from 2006. He's with the AM as a roadie since 2006 as well as Geoff

  • Comment removed

  • @drlionmask sent you a message

  • @magiera92 he technically was, he played in the album with them, he toured with them, he was part of the band.

  • @sumerez It's like saying Miles Kane's in the band then, as he has done shows with them, plays guitar on 505 sometimes, played bass on 505 on FWN and sung on 'Little Illusion Machine'. Doesn't make him in the band.

  • @magiera92 John is essentially a session musician for the band, he stands in where needed, but the official line up is those 4 boys.

  • @magiera92 'Little Illusion Machine' was Miles Kane and the Death Ramps..

  • @magiera92 "Just because they aren't in the band doesn't mean they are not in the band"

Jack Black, School of Rock lol

  • @magiera92 Since 2009! He's named John Ashton and he plays piano.. You don't really love them! :P

  • @markitohendrix Actually, he's been with them longer than that, just never officially. Which is what I was getting at. I love them ever so dearly.

  • @magiera92 he was/is their sound engineer, so, he was with them all time. Then in humbug started to play with them cuz they need someone to play keys and 3rd guitar.

  • @magiera92 Secret fifth member who retired this year haha

  • You either must be a complete fucking retard or a soulless douche bag to dislike this. Easily the best and my favourite Arctic Monkeys cover :).

  • i loveeeeeeeeeeeeee

    ARCTIC MONKEYS !!!!

    THE BEST !

  • hey man Where can I get this song¿ !!! It's so brilliant

  • @aoshi7 The original is from a 70's album called 'Born to be with you' buy a guy named Dion. He wrote the album when he was coming off heroin and it is truly brilliant. T

his track and 'In and out of the shadows' blow me away, but it's all good. If it's an Arctic Monkeys version you're looking for I don't think it's been released. But the original is just as good. he has got great taste our Alex...:o) Hope this helped.

  • @UuDonKnowMe hmm you realise the kooks have had two albums, and the monkeys didn't change sound greatly until their 3rd. Now listen to saboteur by the kooks and tell me the kooks haven't changed their sound

Apart from that, I agree with this point completely, the monkeys new stuff is genius

  • Please please pleeeease record this and put it on iTunes! I need it on my iPod, it's amazing :-(

  • เจ๋ง

  • damn sexy hammond

  • amazing

  • does anyone know where i can download this... preferably legally

  • not a fan of the organ...

  • this is just so good.

  • wow, i've been skipping this song, cause i thought it was just a mislabeling of only ones who know; i never realized it was that part during fluorescent adolescent they play live.

    cool.

  • @redhockeycab can you show me?

  • any1 else really getting sick off all of the people sayin that they lost it.

  • @senoirEB yes! they haven't lost a goddamn thing. they're evolving. it's natural and to be expected if they're truly creative. so everyone just back off!

  • i love arctic monkeys, but this song is just too high for him!

he had to scream at some points of it...

    :)

    but they're still the best!

  • his voice sounds so great on this, cant wait to see what they do for their next album

  • Is this an Arctic Monkeys song or a cover version? Don't curse at me because i don't know! Ha!

  • @history384 cover version of a dion song

  • @gunners4life123 Thank you! :)

  • oh you're killing me mr Turner

  • @escapoligist hes killing me to ...but i dont mind (: lol

  • Somebody have the lyrics of this song? :|

  • @KunYael16MK Yo si pasame tu mail asi te la mando xqe aca no te la puedo escribir xqe me paso de caracteres u.u

  • just perfect!

  • @hippyJamfest I agree , it is the true essence of what they WERE about, but being older and having different opinions Humbug becomes less observant and more poetic and insightful, the only thing i see fit in admiting is that humbug simply isnt as catchy, it does provide a certain edgyness, but nothing quite as spectacular as WEPSIATWIN. In their own right both albums, along with FWN, are equally as profound, the ability to break into an audience of the mass's doesnt reflect how good an album is

  • 1:39 bootleg FAIL

  • one fucking belieber watched this great video

  • one person has a misguided music taste

  • Does anyone if a studio version will be released on a EP or something?

  • there is only one reason not to like arctic monkeys: if you live in britain and are sick of how hyped up they are. if that's not the case for you, sit the fuck down and realize they are the most amazing band around right now!

  • @bass8889 and even now, theyve made a great non-mainstream album that means most of the people who liked them coz it was 'cool' to like them dont anymore

  • @TomOliver93 So incredibly true, im sick of people bumming WPSIATWIN but not liking humbug, it definatly outlines how narrow minded and mainstream they are. With that in mind its obvious why humbug wasnt a string of hit singles like WPSIATWIN, because stupid mind numbed people cant apreciate talent, anything so simple that they can sing along to without having to try and grasp the concept of, like the catchy songs of the first album are perfect for the kind of people who love talenless crap.

  • @jmanjonnyg WPSIATWIN is a much much deeper album than humbug! it had the true essence of what the were about...4 sheffield boys who like 2 go out with mates and have a laugh...not this new slow poemy shit!..i do like humbug but its not the same..

  • this is ok not has good as cornerstone

  • does anyoneknow where i can get the audio to this please in mp3 form?

    x

  • is there a download from this version?

  • Smashingly smitten. <3

  • The reason why i fell in love and I actually ain't gay!

  • I like that bit from the song. You know from 0:00 to 3:02

  • Comment removed

  • I swear I'm actually gay for Alex. I don't see him as male or female really. Just an entity of pure beauty and genius.:)

  • I love that extra little "fill" with his voice at ~ 2:33 :)

  • @KjGydell great to see you posting, i love your videos

  • alex only for you im gay

  • sounds like phoenix nights with keyboard lol

  • Oh gosh, this is so beautiful. His voice is just GORGEOUS...he is too heheh...but that's not the point. The point is, this cover is amazing music, there are no words. I love this band so much. *_*

  • <3333333 amaizng cover

  • love it!

  • @simstom I would like to,but I live in a shitty country where you can't buy not one of the arctic monkeys CDs...

  • @Dejana013 thats horrible!

  • How beautifully he's singing. I think the organ-sounding music goes really well with the death-of-love theme of this song.

  • yes, they play the part "And I know how much I'm missin' heaven" in the middle of flourescent adolescent,I've heard it on concert this summer and I wondered what that was...Does anyone know where I can download this song, joining the dots, don't forget whose legs you're on and afternoon hat? I've tried everywhere and I haven't find them....

  • @Dejana013 . buy the single...

  • @Dejana013 you can download them from youtube mate (:

  • @Dejana013 pa bre Dejana, skini na thepiratebay, imas tamo sve. :) Ove su ti sve ''my propeller'' single, a za ovu ukucaj youtube to mp3 na googlu.

  • ALLLLLLL good bands(Radiohead) change their sound after the first album or so. The not so good bands(The Kooks) stay with the same music and they go nowhere...

  • @UuDonKnowMe the kooks is not bad.. i think Keane and Bloc Party are the shite bands.. but i heard that luke and alex aren't good friends..

  • @Hugoow16 im not sayin their bad its just that it gets old. you know the same type of music all the time

  • @UuDonKnowMe radiohead won't preform anymore. the kooks new album is also coming within half a year.. radiohead had way better times.. but arctic monkeys are the best, without a doubt

  • @UuDonKnowMe

Well this song is made for girls, only.

  • @nymfo12 Oh Please.

  • @nymfo12 it was made for A Girl. Lucky thing <3

  • @UuDonKnowMe your right

  • @UuDonKnowMe NO!! america and josh homme RUINED ARCTIC MONKEYS!!!They are still amazing, but not the same.

  • @HippyJamfest Umm i live in America, and just because i live there doesn't make the band suck. The Arctic Monkeys aren't ruined and going to be one of the first to buy their new album

  • @HippyJamfest It was their choice to record with him, how is it america and josh homme`s fault.

  • Exactly, Arctic monkeys sounds very good on the third album ! Best Band after the rolling stones and the beatles.

  • @UuDonKnowMe fucking agree if u are a musician, your music always is goin' to change

  • a better example would have been the beatles

  • @juakinote yeah but i love radiohead but yes Beatles good example

  • @UuDonKnowMe I love the Kooks!! But i love the Arctics too hahah :)

  • @UuDonKnowMe the koooks are awesome, if youre not gonna say anything helpful, say nothing. thanks.

  • @UuDonKnowMe Not true necessarily. ALL bands evolve eventually. And there's usually not much of a rush to change things up when you're doing well and there is still more to explore. You're saying that this song is soooo radically different from other Arctic Monkies??? Cause it's really not.

  • alex turner fuck genius!!!

  • where i download this song ?? please help me ..

    sorry for my english

  • omg love it and so neautiful. also a really easy set of chords to learn

  • Que bonita voz!...y que bonita cancion!

  • i think they play a part of this song during a concert .. in the middle of flourescent adolescent i believe.... yup

  • its not celin dion

    it justs DION !!!!!!!!!!

  • thanks :)

    betelgeuze011 it's a little dickhead or? lol

  • where the fuck are the lyrics of this song?

  • Wow, I didn't know there was a full version of this! It's lovely<33

  • The old sound of the Monkeys was better, though I realy liked these dreamy Electronic organ sounds

  • @betelgeuze011 lol. no. Dion, just Dion

  • @betelgeuze011

    hahahaha. brilliant.

  • @betelgeuze011 hahahaha celene dion

  • this could be a FWN b-side.. he used this lyrics in a bridge for Fluorescent Adolescent also.. (live)

  • whered the fire of the old monkeys go?

  • anybody knows where the fuck sre the lyrics of the song?

  • that dudes not part of the fucking band ok stop asking and do some research. i think of him as a session player only plays live

  • nice

  • just fallen in love with him even more

  • i met john outside a arctics gig last year, me and my dad, and after he gig he gave me the setlist for the concert!

  • where is the rest of the band?? because only john???

  • Nice cover.

  • É demais os caras são otimos.

  • good song and nice performance.

  • just fell in love with him for the tenth time.

  • such a good voice

  • I dont like the fact that arctic monkeys is becoming just alex, i like his stuff, but arctics were diferent.

  • No what u mean man, i really like em and obviously hes a huge talent but seems like hes getting a bit up himself and trying to take over

  • yeah, i like alex and his music, but he have his own side band ( last shadow puppets ), and the style of that band is taking over their old style, like whaterever the people say thats what im not,

i like humbug but its very similar to last shadow puppets, i hope that in the next album they put on some of their old fashion.,

    sorry for my english

  • @ aaronilai,

Most bands change their sound after their first or second albums, and the Monkeys are growing out of their old sound a bit. Its too bad, but their new sound is good too.

....and maybe Nick, Jamie, and Matt are busy with something else who knows.

  • Yeah i like their new sound, they have to "grow up", maybe the band had other things to do.

but i want the full band the next time. =)

  • @aaronilai Why would you say that?

  • you know, you see that video, its from arctic monkeys, but its just alex showing his stuff, i like it, but where is the band?, i fell that in their last stuff like humbug and the b sides, alex is getting all the credit and taking over with acoustic covers and things like that. or maybe its just me.

    sorry for my english

  • Who is this dude on the keyboard and since when was he part of the band? :(

  • He joined last year when they were touring before Humbug was released. He's John Ashton from Last Shadow Puppets.

  • ... so he's part of the band for good?

  • he's not part of the band tho..

  • @gottenks3 he is the newest member of the band?!?!?

  • He's not from Last Shadow Puppets either. He was their live sound engineer who only plays with them live. He doesn't feature on the album either. And since only Al is the only member who can play keys to a good level, John plays keys for them live and in radio performances so that Al can play guitar.

  • Who are they covering?

  • Dion DiMucci

  • it is a cover

  • what album is this song on?

  • not in an album, i think is from the lp of my propeller.

  • love it.
