  • tht kinda mean they way they handle them

  • there useto be this clip with the hole jump , ive waisted 1 gig looking for it , that jump shows nothing , BS

  • OH MY GOODNESS ITS TONGUE

  • hay im making a tree kangaroo vid and its coming out in a mounth so plz donate SAVE THE TREE KANGAROOS!!!

  • who wondered if they were gonna show footage of the drop?

  • 6:21 the 3rd guy want to shake hands but she didn't reach his hand to he scratch his head instead.

  • 3:35 poor thing :O

  • What they don't know is that they are actually playing poker when the cameras aren't running. Proven fact.

  • its crying

  • reminds me of tank girl. . .

  • 1:55 ITS SO FUCKING CUTE!

  • Gee there's a bunch of sentimental rubes here trying to say we should conserve and protect species, but not interfere with animals. And I bet there are those among you who overlap with the crowd that says, "You like sausage but you won't watch it being made." You're doing the same thing for fuck's sake.

  • it brought a tear to your eye to see what its like 70 feet high in a tree? REALLY? go and do it yourself instead of attatching a camera the same size as a kangaroos as its head around its neck! how about we stick a bowling ball around your neck and see how you like it for all that time? personally i also think its fucking bullshit how they can "leap" that high straight to the ground and not get hurt. you are all a disgrace. pulling its tail? how about we pull your ears i'd imagine it'd hurt.

  • It seems that some people don't realize how important it is to know and study animals, specially those that are in danger of extinction. Sure, it seems cruel to scare the shit out of those animals so that they jump from the trees, but as it seems they not only survive these jumps unharmed, they are made for them. And I think if they had any other way to study them they would do it differently.

  • thats mean. How would u like it if while ur climbing a ladder they pushed it down to the ground

  • wow... this is TOTALLY a necessary way for ppl to be spending money with the economy on the rocks lol what the fuck. im working my 9 to 5 to survive and these fucks are strapping cameras to kangaroos so they can watch them eat and look at a sunrise

  • @eroc2689 lol.. not an activist, but economy downfall... our fault .. our problem... reason their on the endangered species list... our fault... their problem... rather my taxes go towards a small camera then the greedy mo**er f**kers who left the economy to fail so they could retain some of the money which they would have lost..

  • @MolsenMinion lol i must agree with you there actually. didn't see it that way at first

  • fucking cocksuckers all over the world cant leave nature alone.... fucking dicks

  • Minute 6:22 very funny, when the gay behind the tree wanted to shake hands too and realized he wasn't included in the shaking hahahaha

  • @EMILCAT7

haha good eye...thats funny as hell

  • Pretty cool. They look sweet.

  • That;s some fat kangaroo

  • I AM NOW A TREE KANGAROO

  • What kind of person risks a mother and the baby of an 'endangered species' just to film it from it's perspective. SHAME ON YOU

  • @thisisww How were their risking anything you moronic drone

  • @ahhgrobble If you are going to call someone a moron you need to be able to spell and write on an elementary level!

  • @ahhgrobble There are so many things wrong with this video I don't know where to begin! The method the hunters use to catch them for food (not to release them) 'doesn't hurt them' but I don't think there is any scientific fact supporting the claim that an animal can fall ten stories safer than if it were trapped properly. If that were the case they would have tranquilized it. You're entitled to your opinion and should probably keep it to yourself until someone else can approve it's valid.

  • @willis4play I don't think there's any scientific fact that say it does, so why be a retard? If they tranquilized the animal couldn't control the way he was falling and would have had a far bigger chance of injury.

  • @ahhgrobble You just keep digging yourself deeper. I said if they could fall ten stories safely "they would have tranquilized it." Better still you just implied it's not safe after all yet your first statement says they weren't "risking" anything at all....

  • @willis4play They can fall ten stories safely WHEN NOT INCAPACITATED that's why they didn't tranquilize it, what's so hard to understand?

  • @ahhgrobble Let me give you a quick PHYSICS lesson. The FORCE of a ten story fall is the same for a tree kangaroo whether it is awake or not. Nothing you or any 'scientist' says will change the law of gravity! Go find a ten story building and test their little theory... you deserve to bounce off of the ground a few times for believing what a youtube video SAYS.

  • @willis4play So what you're saying is that landing on your head or on your feet doesn't change anything right?

  • @willis4play hey man.. its a youtube vid from national geographic... and physics lesson... mans internal body motions to counter the impact is completely different to that of any other species... so nice for you to know the basics of physics.. but there is no way you can calculate the actual impact that kangaroo has when it hits the forest floor... just saying... you know what you know... and they have been doing research for years on what they know... Just Saying....

  • You tracked it for 3 years, knew when it ate, and that it was with a baby and still terrified the mother with a "developing baby Joey" to make her fall 100ft from a tree.... just to watch it eat at 6AM from its perspective!? You make a joke of National Geographic and their studies with your actions!

  • And the best people to carry all our equipment. Damn Europeans

  • 5:28 how'd you like some one tearing your pouch open cunts

  • 5:28 howd you like some one tearing your pouch open cunts

  • i want one

  • 0:56 dick??

  • Animals r amazing

  • I have one.

  • they are soooo cute..

  • amazing. I now officially love Tree 'Roos

  • he's like: "I IZ UBDUCTED BY ALIENZ! GET THIS THING OFFA ME"

  • 4:44 hahahahahha Smörgåsbord :P Sweden ftw!

  • 20$ this bitch is just repeating what the locals of the village told her

  • AW<3 OMGGG<333

  • stfu women go back to where your from and leave these things alone

  • THEY'RE SOOO 'FLUFFY'!

  • im superised i didnt see any fucking kinda a let down

  • @with33 i'm surprised you don't know how to spell surprised.

  • lol obviously they're going to take the cameras off. Keeping a collar on an animal, especially one of that size for a prolonged period of time can cause serious health issues. A veteranarian isn't going to risk endangering the health of the same animal they're working to protect

  • ironically we wouldn't even know about this without video camera's

  • "Small Camera" my ass... Hopefully they take these things off of them afterwards. I can't imagine you would witness their normal behavior if they had something big like that on them they couldn't get off. I now I would definately freak out...

  • they are so cute

  • What about POV kangaroo porn transmissions?

  • let them be... not cool

  • i just saw a pussy on youtube

  • it looks so sad when it's caught :(

  • I HATE THAT MAN

  • Sad part is once the team there stops funding the locals, they'll go right back to hunting them. Not out of spite, simply out of hunger. Gah, I love humanity and nature but it's so sad we can't coexist.

  • @shamz0rz

we cant coexist because money is governing our society

  • @J1nrai No man, it's because we're TOO intelligent, and also so blind of future consequences. We're TOO good at killing and changing landscapes. We aren't dying quick enough, lifespan has doubled in the past 100 years or so. There's simply too many of us. Money is just a way for society to add value to certain services and products, we just need to weed out the corruption at the top of the banks. We can't live without money, unless we went back to ONLY farming for ourselves.

  • @shamz0rz

thats bullshit man, just that you dont know any better than a world with money doesnt mean were all gona

be primitive without it. look if i own a store and tell a guy ive got a good lamp but the lamp next door is better,

i wouldnt be in business. if i were ethical, i wouldnt be in business,. so you see, its not intelligence or medical science that is destroying our world, but the mentality behind the money system that makes us inherently corrupt and egocentric.

  • @J1nrai Yes, we've heard that argument before. However, if you're advocating a trade and barter society it fails even harder. If you are a lamp salesman, and I am a food saleseman, and you need food but I don't need a lamp guess what, you're starving that night. Money is the commonly accepted trade system that values certain services higher and lower than others. What needs to go is corruption of the people who run the cash system, but as far as living without it it's impossile.

  • @shamz0rz

If you read closely you notice that I'm not advocating anything, certainly not trade and barter,

I'm simply pointing out the flaws in the current system.

You say what needs to go is the corruption of people at the top, and I can see what led you to believing this,

and while this might be a logical sounding theory, you fail to recognise that the corruption is the foundation of the monetary society and the mentality asociated with it, not some byproduct.

  • @J1nrai But it was never anywhere near this bad. There were no investment banks manipulating markets radically back in the earlier days. There were laws to prevent many of the exploits that are running rampant thought our financial system today. Regan decided deregulation was a good idea then Bush did the same thing exept even moreso. Now our system is spiraling out of control with 600 trillion dollars of derivitives, $34m dollar bonuses and much more fraud and exploitation. We need the law back

  • 6:24 lol poor guy

  • oh so beautifull love it

  • i think it's great that former hunters are now aiding in their protection.

  • they seem very docile , no biting or snarling even with all those hands on em

  • AVATAR lol !!

  • these animals are pretty cool. I get to work with one in Bermuda, at the zoo. :)

  • I want one!

  • shits badass

  • please take the word 'adorable' off of the title of this video. It's really annoying.

  • no wonder these things are endangered they jump out of trees

  • ill tell u mother fuckers what there doin up there.....there EATING,SHITTING,AND SLEEPING...so get that device off them and let them do there thing damn how u u like it if someone straped a big ass camera on ur ass when ur chillin in your yard????ohh good now u know what it looks like up in a tree..mission accompleshed

  • @blazedcracker thank you!!!! couldnt have said it better myself!

  • @blazedcracker cause its interesting you hippy

  • @blazedcracker Stay in school people.

  • @blazedcracker hypocrite

  • @blazedcracker Relax PETA.

  • @blazedcracker its called scientific research dude. chill troll

  • I just saw a featured news of this on ABC News today. So this was done like last year!?

  • its a pokemon =]

  • @GoldnGrunt2 lol great more ideas for Nintendo and Gamefreak for future Pokemons :D

  • that critter cam is huge

  • OK, STUPID FUCKS?!!!!! What in the hell are we getting out of knowing what these Tree Kangaroos do???!!!!!!!!!!!! Paging Chris Crocker:LEAVE TREE KANGAROOS ALONE!!!!!

As soon as an animal kills one of you DUMBASSESSSS, it's 'dangerous' or something.

  • I find amazing that they can fall 100 feet from the trees and they don't get hurt..how can they do that ?!!!

  • It's great finding elusive animals, but by showing where they live is a mistake. When you mention that their lives are in danger of human population and local hunters you just gave them the green light to hunt them down.

Hopefully there won't be hunters looking for them now for prized trophies.

  • Okay so we have cell phones that are like 1/4th the size of that bulky piece of shit they put on that poor creature. Why the fuck can't we make a camera that size cuz obviously that retarded camera is in it's way. Fucking smart ass "Scientists" why not let nature takes it course and let them repopulate; not much to worry about considering the hunters aren't killing them anymore.

  • @XxOsutinxX because they need enough battery power to last for probably five times what a cell phone does and they need to have a huge memory to capture high quality footage. They also need to be strong and not break, especially important with animals.

  • @Masatisan Sorry to tell you they have memory cards that hold probably as much footage as the one they use would. Batteries I understand. And they have high endurance cell phones that could easily take a beating with no problems.

  • I wantz it. But, dude, let them be.

  • Amazing footage and amazing species! Great work National Geographic!

  • please visit: @xcfashion All styles, colors. Compare prices, do not miss it. Inside that you want

  • Naaaaaaaaaaw <3

  • great kangaroo

  • never knew such a creature existed.

  • 1:14 lebron james? haha

  • @HairyFandangler

    no, its his father

  • For those of you who dont know bout this animal. The Tree kangaroo is a herbivore, it eats green leaves (only certain plants) and wild fuits on trees. It is harmless, shy, colorful, adorable. I had one as a pet back home. These researchers did their research on my very Land, given special permission by my tribesmen. So u got any questions ask me! And dont make useless comments bout the video.

  • would you just the the hell up about your god dam life

  • Thats my very Land they went to do their research.! I had one of these animal as a pet at home when i was in PNG.

  • i can't wait till the webkinz tree kangaroo comes out next month :D

  • Looks like the critter cam is still too big for the animal. It can interfere with the animal's daily routines like grooming. My own big tummy is preventing me to reach my own toes. I can imagine how that camera would restrict certain movements of the animal. They could have split the device into two pieces, the bulky part on the back of the neck and the camera point to where the animal is facing. Seek help from the engineers from Apple or SONY, they are good at designing tiny electronics.

  • what an amazing place to exist.

  • What if they get itchy under their critter cam or it gets caught in a bush and they're stuck?

  • get a fork?

  • umm did they ever take the cameras off??

  • Avatar kangeroo.

  • lol very cute!

  • why cant people feed on chicken???? do they have to eat kangaroos???????? fuck em bastards...

  • If you havent noticed people across the world eat different things. Ex: In other country people eat Raw Fish, Dogs, Cats, and other animals that american's dont eat. Cant blame the people for not having other foods to eat.

  • lol they got other food to eat its just that they like what their eating now so why change?

  • @paintbrush0300 wats ur mouth! u eat pussy that is disgusting!

  • at 5:15 .uh.... WTF????? THAT GUY JUST SHOT A TRANQUILIZER DART AT ONE OF THE KANGAROOS (that wasup in a tree) and the kagaroo fell 40 meters onto solid ground , no -one even catched it!!! WTF?????

  • lol 6:26 the guy goes for a hand shake and doesnt get one

  • haha epic fail

  • i agree with LaderlappenFTW

  • What about leaving them alone?

  • "Leaving them alone?" Are you crazy?

We found a new species. It might fill some holes in the evolution theory, and we can actually prove that religion is bullshit :).

  • @AlexanderBratterud It's already been proven; yeah, religion is bs :)

  • i hit thumbs up on accident fuck you pokettomon your A MORON. PRAY

  • @bryansim1986 Lol kid.

  • FUCK YOU

  • FUCK YOU

  • @LaderlappenFTW I agree, wholeheartedly. They say that this way people are more apt care about the animal &, therefore, preserve it. But then they say during this video that habitat has ALREADY been set aside for them. PLUS, notice how they don't say if they EVER take the collars off! Do the poor animals have to wear them forever, even after they stop working? ALSO, what about the potential of them getting hung up because of the collars? Knowledge just for the sake of knowledge can be ugly.

  • @algebarb Just because there is habitat set aside for them doesn't mean that their survival as a species is insured. Environmental changes brought about by global warming or other factors could also negatively impact their populations, and only knowledge about their behavior, reproduction, community ecology and diet will help conservationists develop and implement successful interventions. So stop being so sentimental and think realistically.

  • @boogiepop14mc LOL , by the guess of the sentence u wrote i think yur good at english

  • @LaderlappenFTW I agree, but when an animal is specialized or hard to find in the wild, it usually means they don't have to reproduce quickly for survival. This means that they can go extinct easily if someone accidentally cuts down the wrong tree, or changes something in their environment. (An example would be to cut off an important food source, or damaging a specific habitat) if we don't learn about them, we will never know what we can to do protect them.

  • they seem like good pets. un-aggressive, cute, and furry. what else do you need in a pet?

  • adorable :)

  • adorable 8D

  • why didnt they show them going back and taking the cameras off of the Kangaroo's?

  • cuz they killed them and ate them

  • AWW your so mean!

  • this was very nice

do you know whats good , putting a cam on a fish or something in the sea

    that'll be awesome :)

  • @oisanji it would be awesome, but it is very difficult to record videos of good quality.

  • @PurpleBrumak - Yup , but NatTV could get some great cams , they could go down under the sea , places they'v never been to , just by a small cam on a fish .

    thanks :)

  • @oisanji Under the sea is dark, what would cam do any good? its pitch black

  • @FaceyourGiants1 lights may work , the fish then will freak out lol

  • Comment removed

  • @oisanji I don't think the cam will stay long because of the high pressure in the deep water =/.

  • am i insane or ur high?

  • Im high =(

  • i cant wait for the webkinz tree kangaroo. That is so cute!

  • I want to see a tiger cam

  • respect! for the pilot to have landed safely in such a short and bumpy runway, the pilot made this beautiful video possible

  • Lol They do look like plushies..

  • His tail looks like a hanging 12 inch dong.

  • and you are a dirty thinker tree climbing "humangkey" =P

  • haha tree kangraroos are beast

  • you people that say animals suck are so simple minded~!! and pathetic every animal that we lose through extinction damages our world in ways u can't even think of. i say get off ur high horse and have some respect for your land that u live on and children that will be here after you

  • @stylinfem i agree with you, people need to appreciate that animals exist or they will come after you in the end and eat your eyeballs out and use your eyeballs to create anal beads after they become intelligent enough to invent anal masturbation.

  • fake and gay, the so called reindeers were bedsheets over animated robots.

  • very funny hahahahaha...........more and more people are becoming nincompoop skeptics...too bad for this planet

  • Just saw the claws. it could scratch your face

  • I read they make good soup.
