Don't get me wrong, I love Evanescence, but Amy Lee is not all that good at singing live. She does really feel the music, and is passionate about the lyrics, that's obvious! But she is off key, and doesn't hold or reach that many of the notes, which is a shame :(

They were jeering cause she brought the piano in stage, and she proper stood up to them, and it rally made me admire her :) Her passion is undeniable, and her lyrics are absolutely AMAZING!

I love Amy-Lee, but why does she move about that much (if you understand) on pieces which one can sing sitting/standing straight. This is basically of the reasons she' gets outs of breath quickly. BUT- I still can't get enough of her.

It was a way of honoring her, not only by me, but the artists who perform the songs such as Evanescence, Madonna and INXS (New Sensation was inspired by the article as well).

The lyrics for the song LACRYMOSA were written without giving it a title.

Later, the song received its name & finished when Kurt Cobain’s friends the Melvin’s recorded the song Lacrimosa released on the Stag album in 1996. Kurt had been on the Def Leppard tour in 1983 when Joe Elliott discovered me. The lead singer of Evanescence uses my name as her stagename. I am Amy Lee the songwriter and named the band when I was 15 in 1983 after I started writing songs.
