  • I see a lot of "Irish Blood, English Heart" in this.

  • Jesse Lacey does morrisey better than morissey does morissey

  • you can see why jesse lacey called this "morrissey song" because he's imitating Moz's singing style. it's so similar i can even imagine morrissey himself singing this. is it just me or is jesse trying to do a faint british accent also? i think i can hear it.

  • What a great band! Loved it.

  • hah, I've been in (that) tunnel, from France to Spain. Oh yeah, and Brand New rocks my socks. Why do people argue over which album is best? Opinions are never wrong. ...And really who cares, the worst Brand New album will still be a million billion times better than any non Brand New albums. You can run and tell that, homeboy.

  • 4 people are jealous

  • Is this song on iTunes?

  • This is a great song. They put a lot into their lyrics and I feel like they should be bigger than they are.

  • YO DAMN OCEAN WAVE RUINED THE SONG BRA

  • Brand New is my favourite Band by far, and will be it forever.

And this is definitly my favourite brand new song, im sad that its that unknown...

the greatest gift anybody could give me would be the demo songs on an actual album :)

  • Nicely done......but alas......... The original Moz is way, way superior to this copycat crap

  • @Louth2 Brand New are an accomplished band. I doubt they were imitating Morissey for the sake of attention or selling records.

  • @Louth2 you must be kidding, good joke.

  • @Louth2 dude you're a fuckin idiot. Crap?! shit is ridiculously good. no one said that jesse is better but heavily influenced by the guy. Is that a problem that morrissey's looked up to. does that make your little dick limp. like being pissed off at a band that is influenced by led zeppelin and calin them crap kuz they "sound similar." dumb ignorant fuck

  • @shoobs9390 FYI my comment was put up 4 months ago but that aside. Yes, I listened to this one song because of the comparison to Moz was made and I was disappointed. Yes, I prefer listening to Morrissey anyday but Brand New recorded other songs of which I have no ill comment and some of them I even like. (not withstanding any Morrissey influence or not..) Why my comment would make me a dumb ignorant fuck is beyond me but I won't call you a hairy biassed asshole.... No siree I won't...

  • Favorite of the fight off your demons demos :). This song actually made me check out The Smiths. Thanks Jesse Lacey

  • It was leaked during the making of The Devil and God are Raging Inside Me. The album is called, I think, Fight Off Your Demons.

  • Where can i DL the album? It's not on TPB anymore):

FOYD is so good, they need to release it.

  • @theand123 htt p:/ /ww w.m edi afi re. co m/ ? m nzomm ztm 34 ?

  • ITS NOT MORRISSEY YOU BLOOD SUCKING PARASITES!

  • @inyofacepriklips oh really? it's not morrissey?! i never would have guessed from the fact it clearly says it's by brand new, and the fact its sung by an american. the songs known as "the morrissey song" learn to read mate

  • @masterofpuppets05 lil late to the punch there snapper head.

brand new morrissey song, if he ain't singing it/releasing it...then it aint shit, mate.

  • @inyofacepriklips

    hurrrrrrr

  • @MikeGasm yeah well...this is a crock with a dash of shit , brougham

  • why didnt they release this...

  • WTF? LAME

  • @deadplanet22

  • the part where you hear the waves crashing is kinda cool. (:

  • It figures that my favorite Brand New song is the one they never released. Long live BN!

  • i love this shifty color thing going on lol, this is my fav of the demos!

  • can anyone imagine how much more awesome the devil and god would be with 20 songs?

  • my favorite sing drom the demos :D

  • Such an intense song.. Love it.

  • Can someone explain to me what this Morrissey is? I am not familiar with it.

  • @RBFF123

Probably one of the most prominent English songwriter/singers through the 80's, was the frontman of the acclaimed English rock band The Smith's. Great singer/songwriter - Jesse actually is quoted as saying that Morrissey was one of his idols/inspirations.

  • I absolutely LOVE this song. Is it a remade Morrissey song, or is it an original tribute to him? I really need to know.

  • @TheDeathlyPie Should you be kidding... hahaha. If not, Morrissey is a dude who started the Band the Smiths around 82. They broke up around 88 and then he went solo. Dude's mad nice, and in my opinion his music influenced every Alternative Rock/Emo band that's out today.

  • this is really nice. Congratulations.

  • this is soooo THE SMITHS! good shit

  • does anyone know a way i could get these untitled songs on my ipod, and moshi moshi?

  • @griswald95 Google youtube music downlader.

  • DARN, I thought it meant brand new Morrissey song..

    As in, not the band.

  • This video is very awkward.

  • how can i download these songs. i'm dying to get all of brand new's untitled's on my iTunes

  • i NEED this version of the song. it sounds so great. how can i get it?

  • im wearing my fight off your demons shirt today :D

  • are there any covers of this song out there? this is my fav. brand new song

  • I absolutely love this song! Even though I love Brand New, to me this just isn't Brand New. This song is something entriely different that no other band or artist could ever replicate. And although I will always appreciate what these guys put out, if there were more songs like this in their future then that album would be a world phenomenon. But who knows, maybe that's just this guys opinion.

  • The song's title comes from The Smith's frontman, Steven Morissey. Jesse Lacey is heavily inspired by him, and really shows it with this song. It's a shame that FOYD never got finished, though it is still great the way it is.

  • It ain't but like the title this fella gave it, its just brand new thinking they're morrissey, i adore band new, TDGRIM is one of my all time favourite albums, bit gutted bout daisy though, but im so glad they didnt realese the fight of your demons demos, the majority of them jus sound like morrissey.

  • its a shame you dont like daisy. I didnt at first either but now At the bottom, gasoline, bride, and sink are some of my all time fav brand new songs. Trust me listen to those 4 songs more and youll start to change your mind

  • hell yea dude. those are the exact songs that got me haha

  • @Buzzguy701 noro, vices (after the gospel song opening), and bed are also pretty awesome

  • @DeathCabForJoey Wow, I Love Daisy. Even more than TDAGARISM, and the fight off your demons demos are sick. Nothing wrong with Being inspired by another band.

  • @blink182fan10 most bands are.

  • Jesse Lacey is the American Morrissey.

  • @Supaduck0 No he's not

  • @ChrisWales22 i dont listen to either artist anymore so im not going to bother arguing

  • amazing song.

  • does anyone know where i can download all of the demos on release your demons?

    cant find them anywhere :'(

  • look up "get youtube audio" on google. click on the first one.

then put the url in and you can get the

    mp3 of it.

trust me it works, i love this song :DD

  • or go to the pirate bay and search you know the name of the demos "Fight Off Your Demons". Download the torrent and then there ya go.

  • well... for starter's it's called Fight Off Your Demons

but best bet is try a youtube downloader like pwndbymcr suggested

  • This is like my favorite song

    I love it!

  • Does anyone know if he purposely sounded dead on morrissey and wrote dead on morrissey lyrics.

Cause the similarities are too uncanny for this to coincidentally sound like his idol.

  • Yeah he's definitely trying for a Morrissey homage. The way he sings "pals" is sooo Morrissey.

  • I just got done listening to the smiths and then I was like, woww, this sounds like jesse lacey. And then I came across this song and made the connection. Haha, brand new is amazing. Absolutely love this song.

  • fucking love it

  • In the solo it sounds like he's either playing a jazzmaster or telecaster, and I've seen that they play a vox ac30 for the cleaner tones, but is he using a reverb or flanger too?

  • Morrissey is Jesse's absolute idol. this was one of the first songs brand new ever recorded, it is called untitled 2 but it is commonly reffered to as the "Morrissey song" for Jesse Lacey sounds much like Morrissey does now, not so much when he was the Smiths. understand?

  • welll said

  • This was not one of the first songs Brand New ever recorded. This was recorded sometime after Deja Entendu but before The Devil and God Are Raging Inside Me. It was leaked with 8 other songs prior to the TDAGARIM release and then cut from the final CD. Not to mention you can tell how much more mature his voice and lyrics are as well as how the style of music is different compared to that of Your Favorite Weapon.

  • correct, the demos were actually called Fight your demons.

  • i agree.

his voice is more idk its more something.

as for style yes you are right on his first cd's he was sad but cocky now hes more heart movingly sad.... //.-

  • Man, I love this song.

  • does anyone know where i can find these demos? please help me out.

  • i actually found this by accident. on limewire, i searched and downloaded "millstone" but it ended up to be this song.

  • dude, same thing happened to me.

  • I think we found the same faulty Limewire file, ha. Small world, that.

  • i use demonoid, you have to be invited by someone to use it. They have everything. A complete discography. Or else use a you tube downloader application such as videora. You can download anything from youtube.

  • was the mountain tunnel part filmed in colorado

  • We were driving from Barcelona to Marseille across the Pyrenees mountains. Thank you for your comment/question.

  • Well, the song is known as Morissey Song, it is Untitled track 2 from their, I believe, most recent album.

  • It's a leaked demo from before the most recent Brand New album came out. I've never heard it being referred to as "Morissey Song" before, but Jesse does sound like Morissey in this song.

  • @Cubilete279 this album was scrapped due to it getting leaked, afterwards they wrote the devil and god

  • @Cubilete279 nah the devil and god, but it got leaked so they left it off

  • @Cubilete279 Not exactly; they never released this album. It was called Fight Off Your Demons.

  • I am guessing that you named yourself Morissey after Morrissey because you faintly sound a little tiny bit like him?
