thanks for this vid!! expirence thechristian and gospel music of donna summer. all of us her fans know she sings her gospel and christian music best. read her powerful testemony in her book Ordinary Girl, she keeps singing gospel christian music (from 70's 80'90's and today!) i pray she will do a full on gospel cd. cause she loves Christ so much and she is very anointed! lovjohn
A tremendous choir of powerful voices singing gospel. What a better way to immortalize a 70's variety show. Totally loved the solos and vocals by Mac, Donna, Dolly and Tom. Thanks for bringing this one out of the vault! :)
I think I read Donna also sang the soul classic "A Song For You" on this show, hope someone puts that on YouTube.
I wonder if I'd seen this show if it would've made me a Donna fan. I wasn't aware of her at all until her Top 40 hit "I Love You" in early '78, and soon after she became my favorite singer and still is.
@NicholasSims Hi. Just type in "Donna Summer A Song For You" in the YOUTUBE search box and it will come up. It's not from this show. It's from a live concert and she is amazing!
It's great to see Donna and Dolly together. I didn't know they collaborated on a show together. Donna and her husband, Bruce Sudano wrote a number 1 hit, "Starting Over Again" that Dolly recorded, around this timeframe.
Out of all of their voices, Donna's and Dolly's rise above them all. Loved this. I wish it was in stereo or available online somehere in great quality. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! This was pleasurable. Love them all. Especially Donna! Check her at the beginning of her career! They should've slowed it down and let her sing 'Amazing Grace'. We would've been moved.

After being known mostly for her breathy vocals and moaning, people must've blown away by Donna's gospel inspired voice.
