In the U.S. survey, Americans are said to trust more in Japanese brands than German, but now paradigm shift is happening with the Korean made cars. I used to look down on the Korean brand myself; with so many readings, I have changed my view.
Even with the tough consumer organization, 'Consumer Report'(U.S.), Korean cars are ranked as 6th best. Only a couple or a few japanese cars are ahead of it & all the other brands are ranked under the Korean cars including many Japanese companies. In Canada, Globe&Mails, Toronto Stars, & various car magazines are putting Korean cars in unprecedented spot light. For example, Globe&Mail business oriented newspaper mentioned at least 2 times already in their weekly "wheel" section....

According to J.D.Powers ranking on all the domestic and imported cars in the U.S. South Koreans cars (Hyundai) are ranking as the 4th for the highest intitial quality vehicles as only Lexus (of Toyota) - 1st place, Porche - 2nd , Cadillac - 3rd are the top 3. Hyundai is followed by Honda-5th, Mercedes Benz-, Toyota, Ford in sequence, but Nissan,Acura, Mazda, Subaru are all in the below "inudustrial average" as their rankings are low. So not all Japanese cars are equal.
I ain't promoting anti-Japanese feelings, but just to point out on the incorrect translation as I mentioned below. 동영상 이부분 끝에가면 주인공이 일본노래 해볼까하고 같은 동창 후배들한테suggestion 하는데 한 다른 학생이 말하기를 전에 콘서트할때 한번은 한국노래하다가 일본노래하니까 분위기가 썩 않좋았었다고 하는데 영어 번역에는 오히려 좋았다는 듯이 나와요. (일본인은 존중하돼 자동차,카메라,전자제품 등은 한국산으로 사시기를 바래요.) (예전엔 일본차좋아했고 한국차 무시했는데요, 제가 요즘 생각 많이바뀌었어요. 일제 제품않사려노력하죠.) Some translation is wrong! 번역이 틀렸어요. When suggested by the main actor to his fellow musicians on trying a Japanese song on a concert stage, it was opposed by a fellow student when he mentions about a past experience of how Korean audience got so taken a back and offended by a Japanese song played suddenly amid the atmosphere of excitement with Korean music concert which shows typical anti-Japanese sentiments even amongst young Koreans. But the translation is incorrectly done in the opposite.
Hatred between countries... I've seen that a lot. I respect him for trying to build the peace bridge :)

japanese cars are still better than korean cars
but now i think korean electrical products are much better.
well proof is that samsung provides alot of parts for all american and japanese companies...
biggest surprise i guess is sony and apple being the single most customers for samsung.
i am korean, but i do not think its better even for korean econoomy to choose to buy certain products cause its

hyundai/kia is doing better now. i think they can still improve. If i want a cheap car with
great features, i ll choose hyundai. if i want a cheap car with reliability, i will def choose toyota or honda
