Sure, they accept donations...but not FIXED and MANDATORY donations. They do not have the best programs, nor do they have the most resources.
The "Applied Scholastic" method has been studied vs. the current US public system -- AS resulted in being -worse- (which is actually very terrible).
Gold bases are bad, because that means a Church is collecting riches for itself. Till money goes to repairs and helping unfavored people.
