Here is the problem. That student is not allowed to strike back at the media. Its against NCAA regulations and probably university regs as well. I agree with you I don't like the way he's talking about him like he's a kid, but the coach needs to defend his players from the media because his players arn't allowed to defend themselves.

I remember seeing this when it happened. I also read the article he was talking about, and it absolutely disgusted me. I'm a broadcast major and crap like that gives the media a horrible name. I could only endure two years of coaching cross country and track at the junior high and high school level, and I fully understand where Coach Gundy's anger is aimed at. Notice how well OSU's done since that rant. 9-2 this year, with a chance to win a 10th game Saturday. I'm of the opinion that this presser was a major turning point for OSU football, because anyone that sees this who goes to play for Coach Gundy knows that man has his players' backs.
