  • What town was this?

  • We had a gathering a few years ago and it was no problem except for our health center. These folks do nothing to support themselves and depend on clinics for support...

  • Okay....so..... Ive watched a few of the "rainbow gathering" videos. What is it though? Is it a "hippie" revival ? Something to do with the earth? What ?

  • It's really ODD that the "older" people would be scared because, are not the "older " people the ones that were in their teens ,twenty's and thirty's during the 1960's LSD free love days.right? So that would make them hypocrites or maybe they did so much acid, and pot back in the 1960's they cannot remember what it is like to be young and or they burned their brains out back then

  • Great video!

  • You ever notice that the people that complain about the enviromental impact of a Rainbow Gathering has never been, has no other concern for the enviroment and normally is so removed from association of anyone that has ever been to the Rainbow Gathering does not have any sort of reference? Maybe they don't know what they are talking about?

I write essays, proposals, technical manuals and even legal writs and you know what I say. IGNORE ALL RUMORS. There has to be a reference.

  • And we never cut down tree's or anything like that. We try as much as possible to keep the land as natural of a state as possible. And we never gather in the same place twice , ever. I've been to state parks where old gatherings were and you couldn't tell they were ever there. What's the other things that concern you besides the land...? O.o

  • I am concerned about the effect all those people in one place has on the enviroment wherever they camp.

  • @Snipe4261 They have people who stay after and clean up to make it be just like how it was before we got there. However long it takes.

  • @AcidJamCrew You get enough people walking over one pecice of ground and they can compact the soil so much that nothing will grow there for decades. Thats just one example of the sort of things I'm concerned about. I don't care about trash; trash is easy to clean up.

  • Yea that's obvious though. There isn't much your going to do about that. Even someone camping for a weekend is going to leave a mark where they were. Besides dirt being where grass should have been there is really no trace. And what we use to do when I went and stayed for clean up was put pine needles and debris over area's to help.It was usually moving debris out of the way , it would become dirt , and then we spread it all back around on the dirt to help the land get back to it's natural state

  • this is so awesome!!!!

  • Do ya'll have an "organized" group of people that will be willing work security for the stores? That might put more people at ease.

  • really enjoyed this one too. i think one thing people lose sight of is that there aren't two distinct groups depicted here, ie rainbow people vs ordinary people. we're al just people after all. us rainbow gatherers *are the ordinary people when we're at home, whether we're at a camp out or in our own communities, and i daresay many of the shopkeepers and other locals who speak from their hearts in this video are sounding pretty rainbow-y to me

  • I saw this video, and there were tears welling up in my eyes toward the end. It's so important for us to come together...to prove that we can. For those that talk about how "bummy" the Rainbows are..my response is that Freedom isn't about neat, precise lines, spotless faces and neat clothes. Freedom is a Tree..the branches go everywhere, some in directions completely opposite others. Freedom isn't always pretty, and it isn't always free..but it's the most beautiful thing in the world.

  • Beautiful video, thanks... Long live Rainbow!!!

  • Did he say they welcome jesus camp? if thats the same group that i think it is, those jesus camp people are a bunch of nuts. watch the movie sometime jesus camp people are scary, i like hippy's but i dont trust jesus camp, and im christian for the most part

  • Wow, this is an AWESOME video. Of course you don't see any of this in the mainstream media, but this really highlights what the rainbows are about. Great job.

  • That's a different Jesus Camp. They call this Jesus camp because the inhabitants are mostly Christian. But they are tolerant and peaceful without being pushy about their religious beliefs. The Rainbow Family's Jesus Camp folx are so friendly. And I'm not a big fan of organized religion or modern Christianity. (no offense, brother.)

  • None taken, you know though im not much into going to church because i think most preahers do their sermons for all the wrong reasons nowadays, more about money now, than the word, to evangelecial nowadays for me.

  • Excellent video.

  • It's NOT the "Jesus Camp" featured in the movie of that title. The people in that movie were pretty scary indeed.

  • It looks like the closest store to the 08 gathering is in Farson (Farson Mercantile).

  • I want to thank whoever put this together!
