  • I remember loving this game, beating it in the hardest difficulty and getting the Batman still pic telling me i was the true Dark Knight. Good Times

  • I love the music and the game i got the new high score on it and its 0503300

  • music is a bit off-synch with video but its great to see the intro again

  • @leons555 yea I know, I spoke too soon.

  • "im not playing anymore shitty fatman games!"

  • Y'know I hate clowns as much as I hate McDonalds, so might just totally enjoy this game.

  • this game music is not kickass as the nes version, but IS SO Burton BATMAN that you feel Elfman in your bones.

  • good job!

  • the whole thing is awesome but, 2:00 - 3:00 has to be my favourite part.

  • I thought it was funny how Batman made a belching noise everytime he got run over by a motorcycle in this game.

  • Lots of pointless fanboy faggotry up in here.

  • A superb super famicom classic, that will go up and up in price.

  • let's close this discussion.why starting it,like i sad technical they're not that diffrent they both show they're best.thing i hate bout genesis is the colour palet, things i hate about snes is slower and the frozen background/sprites/donkeykong clay look.i always will prefer genesis but snes is like 1% behind they're actually equal to me.i see and hear thing's one genesis that aren't on snes a see and hear thing on snes that wow me.realise that both consoles show more then you're average gba.

  • damn this game was good! the soundtrack is the best of this game Konami did a good work with this classic game.....

  • This is a great soundtrack. It fees cold and dark, much like the movie it's based off of.

yes in the orchestrated department.tell why wasn't thunderforce 4 made on the snes then?,because it was and is impossible music wise.diffrent sounds man,i even prefer genesis and snes msuci above the higher quality neo geo with it's whopping 15 channels.snes and genesis have charm while modern music in games have no feel what so ever.but comparring snes to genesis is like comparing apples with bananas,Bull.snes had smoother sound genesis more agressiver, rock etc heavier bass.

Like? remember genesis may be an old synth style thing but an old synth style thing with 12 to 13 chaqnnels(no offence snes) due to the direct conection trought a keyboard and enough horsepower/memory to progress the data the genesis could activate at least 10 and it did ask streets of rage.and nothing lost in quality so the bass is as fat as the keyboard can do.

  • @nintygaming

btw both systems got to deal with limits, let's say both soundchips hold their own, own they're time genesis got to deal with being a synt while snes got to deal with memory,so both need trickery to do those thing's if they want.genesis had a beast of processor while snes hadn't same kind of stuff.the spc can't handle genesis, but neither other way around, how would you want to get 12 channels from an 8 channel chip? where from maybe 7 or 6 are used at most?.can syhtn do sample?.

    okay here goes.

    please do reasearch m8.

    genesis 6 channels ym2612

    1 DAC

4 psg channels the mastersystem sound processor to emulate mastersystem aswel genesis sound, there no soundcard in the mastersystem converter so do the math.

genesis had a faster drawing engine more sprites in screen bigger amounts of parallex more animation in screen and it can surpass the 64 colour limit only same as for snes you need willing people to push boundries.

  • @nintygaming

snes had a bigger colour pallet and chip in games, even tough nobodies mentioning that mode 7 looked okay at best it was more of a nifty effect then anything pleasent,at times it was.3d is nice but every sprite scrolled with it like a piece of paper, mario cart for instans the coins looked like cookies.Gba did a better job due to the expansion of zooming scrolling etc more like mega cd wich did and awesome job with 3d for it's time.

  • @nintygaming

if you give me the proove that gunstar or thunderforce is doable on snes including the chip in based games then i'll show you genesis games that can do snes things without any chips,we both now a genesis can't do snes neither can a snes do genesis and theres proof.remember genesis 89 snes 91 and remember genesis did fx and mode 7 alike things to without chips, and streets of rage is still talked about why? because it's that good.i love both equally and this is getting fanboyish.

  • @nintygaming

there are just some fact that i know where the genesis proves arcade ports and exclusives right and some point where the snes does that, look at turles 4 look at strider or final fight cd.you can buy yourself a genesis + cd + allot of variting games from action to what ever for under the 50 euros at least i did.you can buy yoorslef a snes with shitload of games for cheap to.but snes still has comercial games with mad prices, like those shitty rpg's hmmm boring.

  • @nintygaming

genesis cd own a snes technically and doesn't cost you much.as for genesis and ugly music.

    Rocket knights

    castlevania bloodlines

    thunder force 4

    batman

    thunder force 3

streets of rage and on and on.explain to me how the hell yuzo koshiro can rock the stage with a genesis soundd chip, you heard me correct, nothing more then a bare genesis chip the audience wen't crazy and it made him milions, genesis is shit snes is everything.cut the bull and do some wikipedia.

  • @nintygaming

Bull the cd system did more then the snes.ever played contra, okay maybe not exact but with no harware support how can you get something like panorama cotton, the nifty 3d effect in gunstar wow another great game on genesis with neat effect pugsy, mickey mania ruled snes it's world(snes had load times in that game WTF) yes the fx 1 and 2 increase the snes it's speed but it doesn't change the heart, btw those are chips, genesis never worked with chips and held it's own and lookes fine

no every ninfanboy, wich i'm not i defended the n64 all it's way trough while psx was abviously better, the cube sucked and the wii is okay at best.nes is the best nintendo console ever.but can you name 1 console that peaked nintendo when nintendo was at it's best?.as for ports demolition man obviosly better on genesis, lion king, aladin wow what a diffrence almost every sports game.road rash,oh fuck ea stated it was impossible on snes, what a misser.shadowrun.all better on genny.

  • @nintygaming

Thunderforce 3.Jungle strike dessert strike urban strike etc way better on genesis fast gameplay and fast metal music.samurai showdown.Jungle book.do i have to go on.one the other i will say snes has allot of port that are better on snes, for instance street fighter battle toads and go on.but please don't diss a console that was made 2 years earlier and that still has enough thing exclusive that a snes could,nt do.the speed the channels the sprites in screen.

Btw old arcade style is what i like.nes owns both snes and genesis musically to me.i love the freakish arpeggios and the compositions of nes really much.quality does make better music sega cd sounds great but doesn't touch genesis or snes.it's the retro that count's not the battle,in the end we didn't make these systems,we can only like them for what they are.comparring megdrive with snes is like comparring megdeth to metallica complete Bull.

  • I actually started playing this game all over again on Thursday I think. The funny thing is that the controls were horrible but it still managed to be damn good fun! It gives me a lot of gaming ideas.

  • At 4:00 I thought for a moment that it jumped to the Final Fantasy 6 final boss, Tier 1. A lot of this music is surprisingly similar to that of FF6.

  • i will always remember scene 1's music with Batman going "uhh" when getting hit... lol

  • i have this game =D

    it's fun but very hard

  • Batman really doesn't have a good history with video games but this one is one of the best.

  • @OofmanRulz Actually compared to others, this franchise is treated pretty well. Except for Batman Forever and Batman And Robin they were mostly pretty good.

  • @OofmanRulz

i think the best one,the one on nes was also good the 1and the 2nd.

  • Every time I play the game, I want to see the movie, every time I see the movie, I want to play the game.

The game is really faithful in spirit and in events to the movie. I love that the music is out of the movie or sounds like something that would be in it.

  • I like stage 2's music.

  • woot its 2 players

  • the music starting at 6:47 is EPIC !!

  • Yeah I used to think that too!

  • When I played this game I was like, wow... you give konami virtually anything and they'll make a bad ass game!

  • Batman on the snes is the best BATMAN ever. Konami is great :)

  • badass game

    badass movie

    badass music

  • Excellent game, and the music added greatly to enjoying it.

I always wondered why there's only two Batman games featuring actual Bat-music, both by Konami, and both for SNES. (This one and Adventures of Batman for SNES)

Not to take anything away from Naoki Kodaka's (Sunsoft) or Spencer Nielsen's (Sega CD) excellent tunes, but the real thing by Danny Elfman, or Hans Zimmer for the new films, is the best.

  • i think there was another batman game that has music from danny elfman score its the batman 89 arcade game by atari

  • I don't like the movie that much, but this game is satisfying as hell by beating the shit out of them clowns. It's also a rare case in which the SNES game is actually better than the movie it's based upon.

  • Batman returns Snes OST is one of my top favourites OST from Snes...sure konami do it a great work whit sound track inspirated on the original motion picture...love it.

  • 4.00 to 4.46 is my favorite part of the music in this game i have that as my ringtone on my cell phone

  • that's pretty cool, kinda makes me jealous ha ha

  • i reamber this game i still play it i reamber i was the popular kid on my block becuse i had this game and all the kids i knew wanted it and they couldnt get it so they would come over to my house play it damn this game bring good back memories i love this game

  • this is different to the sega megadrive one

  • Awesome. good upload. it was too little to remember what Batman looked like. I was with friend at his grandmas & i played this. i was only 5 or 6. & that was in '96 or '97 & its still awesome

  • this was the best game of batman ever! And these musics make it perfect! It´s exatly the same of the movie, and I realy love this movie!!! Sorry the english, i'm Brazilian. But Well Done make me remender that game!

  • Another great game soundtrack. The music during the train level is one of my favorites. It didn't make it into your video, though.

  • 6:47 music rocks as hell !!

  • The danny Elfman movie soundtrack was excellent. It's good that the game preserved the cold winter feeling of some of the music.

  • but this game rivals the music pretty good the sega cd one was pretty odd pretty cool also.

  • wow this batman game in my honest oppinyen has the best batman game soundtrack ever for the snes era thanks to the composers at konami for wisely adapted the excellet movie score by danny elfman from the equally good batman flick thanks for sharing the music for us from this awsome batman game garudoh

  • I hear a lot of similarities between this music and some of the music from the Final Fantasy series. Is it just me or what?

  • I think you make a good point. There are definitely hints of the grand orchestral themes seen in the later SNES FF games.

  • Friend of mine asked me to do this one. The music is standard Batman fare, which to me is alright, but the game itself was pretty fun back in the day. Everyone enjoys a good clown beatdown.

  • I know I do .

  • @garudoh

i love this music,it's batman alike but i love these symphonies, far from standart in a musical way.

  • It was quite a good game.

  • Pretty good graphics
