I don't understand why people keep asking what happened to real rock, in the 90s hip hop started devolving. rock started fading, and grunge took over and kids went crazy over it because it was "new" mainly nirvana, then after kurt cryassbitch killed himself grunge slowly died out and there was an empty spot, that's when rap became famous. in 2000 mainstream rock became famous, like greenday, i blame people who fell for this shit...and then came the emos and the scremos and "alternative" rock.
