Side impact test usually look more hairy. What was the rating? I saw the airbags go off, and I saw how well the other Caddys did in the frontal crash test, so a bad rating would surprise me.
Have you seen the 2008 CTS?? Motor Trend Car of the Year... It's not ugly by any means... sure it's not 100% Standard of the World, but with the backing of one of the largest economies in the world... billions of dollars investing into Cadillac these past decade, I can only imagine what the future holds. And to say eruo in your name, many eruo cars are UGLY!
American cars rules for me comfort and safety for much lower prices and the are also economy today maybe not a chevy suburban or a cadillac escalade but today you can also buy them as a hybrid today =)

okay :D as you maybe know most german people drive small european or asian cars with 1 liter engines or so... and the other ones drive german cars... but american cars are rare in germany
they have a bad name over here that they wouldn't have a good fuel economy and that the interior would be cheap build and such a shit
the truth it not even 50% of them ever sat in a nice american car...

you don't get for your money what you should get.

If you're talking about Electronic Stability Control, it can do nothing to prevent rollover from high energy impact.
