OH? Why is THAT? Are you NOT the guy who has repeatedly claimed, "protection work is for pussys whose asses I kicked in high school?" As if THAT'S not funny enough, YOU are actually impressed by this dog?? Repeated clips of a lazy approach, shallow bite, & ZERO fight or movement once the dog has actually landed the bite? I've seen more commitment form a dog that's under anesthesia! Yet YOU write, "We need more videos like this.." lol. Like you even have ANY idea how to even judge!
@67goldtops HAH! this is this dog's second time doing this. he's just over a year old & hasn't been conditioned at all, nor has he been tested on cattle or hogs yet. e his also extremely exhausted during these runs & was worked in obedience/agility all day prior to this. considering all these things, one can only imagine what a seasoned, properly conditioned Villano is capable of accomplishing.
Excuses, excuses. It doesn't changed your assertion of using dogs for protection work. Or did you forget all of those claims you made?? Remember?? You work with "Rustic dogs, in the purpose they were bred for. Not some pussy sport..." REMEMBER? As far as THIS dog, why would a dog over the age of a year NOT have been tested on hogs yet? Further why did the owner NOT film the dog BEFORE he was exhausted?? Too bad he didn't choose one of those "indefatigable" Spanish Alanos! Fry Boy!
@67goldtops Are you completely unaware of European laws against aggressive animals, ESPECIALLY in Spain & England, where dogs were used for gruesome activities for so many years? People are wary, they are afraid. They cannot afford lawyers. The exact reason why the Spaniards are skeptical about putting footage of their dogs on the web. You have to have a license to even join a ring sport club in Spain. And yes, this is this specimen's SECOND time on the sleeve. he will not be used for huntin
Oh, I see...Those rustic Spanish countryside dwellers who provide you your breeding stock...They're so strictly law abiding that won't train there dogs to use a full grip on a sleeve. lol. How incredibly comical are your silly excuses. Well, laws are laws. THAT doesn't change the fact that this alleged "decoy" is carrying this dog around while it's using it's INCISORS to grip a sleeve. It's a nice way to end up w/ a toothless dog. Yet YOU know that. RIGHT, Mr Working Dogman?? lol
@67goldtops Strictly law-abiding?? Once again, this is the animal's SECOND TIME on the sleeve, he will develop a bone-crushing grip very soon. Laws are laws, eh? Spanish government does not fuck around, bull-baiting & dog-fighting are still casual past times among Spaniards, especially back-country folk. They are far from law-abiding, they just know what Spanish police forces do to individuals who own dogs that they deem aggressive.
Check out the Midwest Performance American Bulldog vid on my favorites page. Those dogs are on tie-outs and they STILL hit with more intensity than this little doggy. Oh, but wait...YOU don't even know the purpose of a tie-out!! What, you never used one with your BORDER COLLIES???
@67goldtops This is the first Villano that will be tried in Mondioring. This is his second time out & he is still learning. Dogs that have been previously conditioned on gripping cattle rarely show much interest in the sleeve, so it's something new for the breed & we'll see how he does as the years progress.
And NO, it is NOT this dog's second time doing this. It's lack of fight and commitment on the bite is atrocious. However a dog that is as young and inexperienced as you CLAIM this dog is would not even complete a long send like that. At least this dog has been taught how to complete a long send, lol. But here's where we agree. YOU can indeed only IMAGINE what a properly Villano is capable of. THAT'S as far as you'll ever get to working ANY dog of ANY breed. BORDER COLLIE BOY!
