  • What about letting the timbers breathe? Sealing the wood up from the inside like that is crap if the wood gets wet from a loose tile or wind-driven rain. It will just rot.

  • There is little point in doing this if attic is opened because of ventilation. As well, foam has to be covered with fire retardant.
