@vynerodron Its aggrivating sometimes. Dropping you E string to d is easy with the fine tuners. I have an ibanez ZR tremolo but ive played floyds and kahlers and they are all about the same when dropping. If you drop tune it seems better to tune in the tuning first. Like if you play in drop c immediatley tune your guitar to CGCFAD when you change strings.

@lambofgodrules1000 good ques...I am buying a new guitar and i checked both of them. I personally like Ibanez and would prefer that.

BUT the problem is with the Ibanez floyd rose (tremolo, edge III or edge zero II) aint that good. It has a lot of tuning issues and you dont get a fixed bridge model. Unless or until you got $1000+ you wont be able to buy an ibanez of a stable floyd rose

Damien on the other hand has both the fr model and fixed. + ive "heard" that its fr is quite stable.

Suggestion - Get something on the roof/walls. I went and used a bunch of egg carton things I got from a store from left over eggs, then just nail them/staple gun them to the roof and the walls. Gets rid of that echo.

I have the same guitar ,its very nice but the only thing I hate about it is it takes like 10 min to tune it because of the Floyd Rose when you tune one stringe all the other strings cum untuned so you have to keep going over its tuning little by little till its tuned .

@magicman989 EMG-HZ are not active no matter what dude. If you check on the back of your bass, there's nowhere to unscrew or open to insert batteries. A set of active pickups needs a AA battery, or else there will barely be any output from the guitar.

If you go to the EMG site, and you select "Bass" on the left, you can see the bass pickup categories on the same side.

On the top you see the category "Active pickups" and near the bottom you see the "Passive pickups" section, where EMG-HZ is.
