@ldaleb This is strictly a wire managment issue - a clean approach to for delivering power to where ever you want to route it to - in this instance we are charging a12 Volt Duracell battery powerpack.
@schaffercl The arrow is showing the direction of current flow. So you want current flowing from the generator to the battery. The arrow is pointing to the battery side of the diode. (2) Yes the black wire goes straight through, not connected to the didoe. Watch youtube.com/watch?v=D7P38eSUlkI
@bicyclegenerator I respect the thorough approach you have taken with this whole project. Especially for those of us who do not even have a grasp of elementary electronics, you have made this simple and understandable.
So i have two batteries connected to a generator one is a regular old car battery and I have the powerpack 600 from Duracell. I should i use two blocking diodes to make sure that the Duracell gets the most charge?
Unlimited energy sources are out there! But the coverup is very strong,Go to LT-MAGNET-MOTORdotCOM and get the blueprints for a genuine magnet motor ,The revolution begins!
Why do you have a positive and a negative wire on your blocking diode junction? Just running the Neg straight through the connector for aesthetics?

1) So the diode I bought from you has an arrow pointing in one direction. Which end is this the load or the generator side?
2) I opened the top cover and noticed the black wire is just straight-through and not connected to the diode assembly inside at all. Is this correct?

Also, please don't listen to 21 primemover12. He has to know he sounds like he probably breathes through his anus. If not, he is a D.A. in addition.
