I haven't heard really any of her songs before, but I have seen her shredding. I actually like this song. I'm NOT into pop, but I admit to having a select few pop songs I'll always like. I don't feel it's a waste of talent. From what I've seen, she does the exact opposite of why I hate so many pop stars; She shows that she actually has talent. Pop is so easy to get into, it's not funny; People get paid to fake, imitate and make BS so much, it stereotypes the genre. Imo, Orianthi stands out.

@30secondstolive yes but they dont count as singers, cuz they all use auto-tune, lip-syncing (sounds like she should be lip syncing too), and only sound good in the recording (also pretty true), the really good singers dont need any of those, same with really good guitarists, they play the same live as in recordings, maybe adding a little something in the recording that is just for the creativity of the musician (ie, sometimes theres guitar harmonies or something, that would be impossible live)

This song is purely "Pop" and I think it's more to get her name out there for exposure...but her playing is top notch. Search in YouTube for: "Orianthi - Highly Strung ft. Steve Vai" and then get back to us and tell us she's just "good". She matches Vai note for note and also does harmony leads matching Vai's playing.
