144V? you're obviously replacing the controller (and voltmeter :).. and probably the contactor(s), but are you prepared to change the motor as well? even if rewound, the motor might loose some effectiveness (and generate more heat)
won't the agm batteries be too heavy @ 144V? Have you considered Li-Po? GBP battery has 100Ah/3.7V for about $200
Actually there really aren't ANY electronics to get splashed. The controller is near the top of the engine compartment, and the potentiometer is inside a gasket sealed box.
I would like to try the car out this summer at a higher voltage, but yes, that does mean upgrading several things.
I know somebody building a (up to) 144V controller, who may let me test it out on my car.
Yes, I would also have to beef up the suspension, and do some other work.
