eh i first saw this episode on TV when i was a kid and i thought it was sad THEN. when i got into the japanese dub rather the scene was even more intense and i was amazed at how much they edited the crap out of it so it didnt seem like he actually died. English dubbers are so cruel to decent animes, they dub it so kids can watch it but good golly leave the good parts in at least. >.< they added scenes and cut scenes. it was a sad mess.

He has good and determined voice (a determined voice is fits to Kai well) and more importantly.. he has MAN voice.. not woman...

Some fans like to believe that he died and Dranzer (or Suzaku or however you spell it :S) sacrificed the last ounce of her energy to keep him alive. I really like this idea, it's sweet and more moving than the simple 'he fainted. end of story.' idea.
