That's funny, because America is not the only country in afghanistan right now. Many Euro countries are. Even Canada is. And Russia has had problems with Afghanistan and that entire REGION before the US ever got involved. So I wouldnt be surprised to see Russian involvement, Regardless off how ignorant we were during the cold war. That region is a threat. I'm enlisted in the USArmy and I would actually be glad to see Russians and Americans working together for once in NATO

I don't know why the USA or NATO wants Russian troops to help USA doesn't have the money for the supply's. I don't think they should help but it would be awesome if they can supply us and perhaps US and Russia relations can get better but i doubt any of that would happen. Not with the current US economy and government.

It is ironic that when Russians were in Afg. US helped talibans with weapons which killed 15000 Russians and now the same US is seeking help from Russia. This looks like just another stretegy to drag Russia in this war where US is losing very bad. With around 40 countries of NATO in afg, US could't win, now why not drag Russians in this humiliation.

The US has had peace-oriented treaties with Russia dating back to the Soviet days. We mutually volunteered to place specific limits, with verification, on our strategic forces.

These treaties, starting no later than 1972, were with peace in mind, so your comment suggests your are unfamiliar with the reality that we in the US are already well into being "in some sort of peace treaty" with Russia.

I think, Rasmussen will try to pursuade Russia to sign the Copenhagen treaty (which would be treason to the independent nations).

The "Norway Lights" recently could have been Russia showing off their superior weapons/weather technology. So the West/NWO puppets steps back from aggressions towards Russia if they don't sign in Copenhagen.

Russia wants NATO to succeed, but it would like to see it cost them dearly. After the Amercians bled them dry in Afghanistan in the 80's you can understand why. Any arms that Russia supplies to Afghanistan, will find their way to the Taliban, so it is not a bad prospect.
