  • Stuttering is a very complex disorder to deal with. There are some great therapies, however, that can be found online. One can be found on naturaltherapyforstuttering. -c-o-m.

  • v stutters r the chosen ones who have to b embarassed at all points: in front of groups, relatives, girls, in interviews , colleges; in short v r depressed bcoz v cant put forward our qualities to this world. theres simply no god for us

  • i m 21 i stutter , i suck at job interviews, those guyd who say : JUST RELAX, CHILL, CALM ; guys that just doenyt work , u cant relax, when u want to say so much n the words arnt coming out ,

    if u try a differnet accent , u stutter in that accent even worse;

if u think we stutter because...

v guys think too much, then dear if v wont think how r v going to try to put decent views??

  • READ BOOKS ALOUD AND YOU WILL GET BETTER AND BETTER UNTIL YOU WILL BE NORMAL. I HAVE BEEN CURING PEOPLE WITH THIS PROBLEM, JUST READ ALOUD. YOU NEED TO TRAIN YOURSELF AGAIN LIKE A CHILD.

  • i just talk nice and slow, like a cool person, and it works!

  • Hey I stutter really bad, and srsli i think all of us stutterers would agree that if there was a complete solution, that stopped stuttering completely, we'd all be the happiest people ever...

But something that helps me to not stutter, is to talk in an accent, like british for me, and srsli it helps alot.

  • I think im coming closer to understanding stuttering and this just one of the things that I can recommend. When you speak, speak to your own ears. LISTEN to the words you are saying and what they mean, and dont focus too much on how they sound coming out of your mouth. If you speak in a relaxed and fluent flowing way and think about WHAT you're saying, the words will ease out of your mouth.

  • this guy reminds me of a drunken robin williams

  • hey i'm new to this you tube stuff how does this wrk? and I guess u can say I am lookin for a friend..

  • In my experience it helps to take a deep breath before saying something. This only works for me when I'm around other people though. My stutter gets ALOT worse if I have to talk on a phone.

  • I find that "Acting" helps! - No stuttering But, who wants to be acting all the time.

  • how does connected speech work?

  • I stopped stuttering with a technique called connected speech.

  • really what is it?..im desperate to et rid of my stutter

  • Hi,

I said it's connected speech. Not sure if it goes by another name. It's a way to connect works so they flow smoothly.

  • Thank you for this video. It is very educational and displays how generous you are in sharing and informing.

  • The worst moments are, I find, when the word which the mouth is stuck on can easily be guessed by the listener. For example "My dog was run over, so I had to take him to the v..v.."

Because the other person knows you're about to say "vets", it somehow makes the task both embarrassing and futile.

  • thats is exactly how i felt in middle school

i felt stupid and like i had a disorder or something

  • Cotton thats when u use a light contact or an easy onset.. A light contact is where ur tongue barley touches the top of ur mouth:]

and an Easy onset is when u use air when u get to a stutter.. hit me up if u wanna Some others..

  • Yes it does, or when the person keeps cutting in guessing what your gonna say instead of letting you finish. Gets on my freekin nerves! So I end up saying, "let me finish"!

  • Great to see this video - and I agree with everything you say!

  • I have a stutter too man... It's not as bad as some but it really does keep me from doing so many things I want to do. My self esteem just drops when it happens. Thanks for your advice.

  • thank u very much for ur response. yeah it seems true that the methods to cope with stuttering differ from person to person. But it is really a genuine advice to maintain "good eye contact".

    thanks a lot again,
